  • Sadly My TMC Bite Alarms began to show signs of fatigue and it was time to replace them. This time I was split between ATTs and Delkims until my wife made an inaccurate off the wall comment which just made me laugh but inadvertently nailed the result. “Say hello to my little friends”

    I love the simplicity of Gardner alarms and changed my trusty TLBs for these and they have never let me down . I sent them back for the underlit upgrade and the service I received was first class . The receiver range could be better in the standard model but mine will at some point be going back to have the Ariel upgrade carried out and then they will be the bomb.

      Just for anyone watching this WD40 on the wheels will stop the wheel from freezing. Just a light spray before fishing in winter will prevent the moisture from settling on them and freezing.
      I've got ATTs because I've seen them underwater full submerged and still work fine.
      I've seen Delks stop working because of water ingres from rain.
      I had a guy stop by my swim once and said "oh are they ATTs...I don't like them, what if the reciever breaks, they're useless, I'll stick to my Delkim Evs". Then the guy in the swim next to him shouted "your alarms going off mate"....he ran off and missed a take. Haha if only he had a receiver which the EVs can't have, I did laugh.
      £50 for new reciever just carry a spare and ask Gardner to warranty the old one. 🤷‍♂️

    I found the same problem with the new Gardner ATTs IW alarms with the ATTx receiver, the lights go on but the alarm does not always sound, the wheel has to turn a few times to bring the alarm back to life.

      there is a dedicated area for the lanyard to go into you dont need a case you can see it (sort of) at 10:45

    I’ve got same alarms but find the covers a pain to get off .
    Yours seem to come off much easier.
    Have you done anything to the covers or am I just unlucky with mine ?

    • @MaffTUK
      @MaffTUK  4 роки тому

      No you are correct they are not easy to get off Dave bought dome neoprene covers for them but I simply use two hands place each thumb on the stainless Snag ears on the pod and using my middle finger and nail slide them up if you look at my latest bluebells video 1:37 minutes in you can see me use that technique 😁

    • @MaffTUK
      @MaffTUK  6 років тому

      Hello Leroy Boom Ting Brown, My mates delks never shut up always bipping or making some noise, I have these with just the two magnets on so they are not so sensitive to the weather and if i have to blank at least i do in in silence LOL Personally i love these alarms but if i had spent more cash I would probably say the same if i had bought Delks. I am very happy with these alarms and i don't feel the need or even want to change to anything else and they have never let me down and work perfect. I dont think you can go wrong with these. But ultimately its your call, you got to go with what you really want :-).... regards Matt

    what radius of action of a signal on the control panel. thanks

    • @MaffTUK
      @MaffTUK  6 років тому

      To be honest Sergy I don't know as that is always terrain governed, Ive tested it at 50 to 70 meters with no problem at all but that's too far off your rods. My buddy has had 100m test on his just to see if it would pick up and it did. The range is not a problem after 12 months use and I love them, I would not have any other alarm now. Sorry I could not be more technical for you, hope this helps regards Matt

    • @MaffTUK

      Hello Jasper No problem, I simply used a small amount of clear silicone. the same stuff folk use to seal in and around the bathroom make sure its clear and use a sharppend match or something to put the silicone in the small hole. push the isotope in and wipe off any over spill... thanks for the comment regards
