Hey everyone. There seem to be a few comments about the audio and the music. I had an issue with the original audio and had to process it and it made it sound a bit off. I can understand the feedback about the music being a bit loud. This video was made over a year ago and I am constantly learning and will continue to improve on the quality of my content. Thank you all for the feedback.
I will never understand the “ahhh the music” or “omg your audio quality” comments, you are an adult getting into laser, cnc, file creation etc..... and you are unable to focus because of soft music.....gonna be a long road ahead for some of you.....great video
You're lucky you are not hearing impaired then because the music comes through louder and trying to read subtitles while trying to watch what he is showing makes it very difficult.
@@MsHeebiejeebies understandable but to think people need to make videos specifically looking out for the hearing impaired and not allowing them their creative/editing views is wild…
@@kbill406 you would be surprised at how many people have loss of hearing to some degree. It doesn't mean we are totally deaf. And if people are making videos then if they did their homework they would probably find out that music probably shouldn't be used. However my reply is more to your comments than to the person making the video as he has taken the time to make one

Hi Jay! I have a problem between Neje vs LightBurn with power. The power via Neje seems to be higher. Is there any additional laser setting in LightBurn? Thanks
dont worry about the comments about your voice/music. You explain very well and your voice is matching perfect with the music. i can understand you perfectly and im german, so not a native speaker ;)
Hey Jay, thank you for the great video. I just recently purchase a red & black laser and install Lightburn, I have the same controller you have. my issue I that when I send the file to the laser it is imaging as MIRRORED, do you know what is causing that.?> Is there a MORROR function in Light burn that I may have accidentally turn on, or could it be some other setting causing the image to be mirrored when the laser burs the image? Thanks
What do you use for settings on your mug? Also, for tumblers like the one you’ve shown, it’s uneven, meaning it larger in diameter on top then it is on the bottom. How do you get it to roll so it doesn’t tip down? I’ll look through your channel to see if you have any other examples of that
thanks for sharing Jay.. some great basics.. how did you align the layers for assembly? I though maybe a slightly inset etch on the next lower level would be a good way to go.. currently building a 100watt with all the upgrades and lightburn seems to be the 'weapon of choice'..
Is Lightburn a better program for the K40 as well. I was going to use Inkscape and K40 whisperer. I'm a complete Noob, I don't even have my machine yet and have never even touched one before.
Greetings. I am using the trial version of lightburn. The problem I'm having is when I type a text on the screen and preview it, it looks ok. On the material it's showing a different direction and if I move it to the left or right with the arrow keys it moves in a different direction. The text is horizontal and on the material it is showing vertical. Any suggestions will be appreciated.
7:00 can you rearrange the colors? Red & Blue are not next to each other on the rainbow, charts or electromagnetic spectrum, They are on the resistor color code, but then green should be left of blue - and many other changes.
The video would have been great if it wasn't for the distracting music. Very helpful none the less and will certainly be checking out your others. Thanks.
Good video, not to be nit picking but Lake Okachobe isn’t the 2nd largest in the us . The Great Lake are by far the largest. I say this because you might lose buyers with in accurate info given by Florida water management. Love the video instructions.
Good day, I've downloaded lightburn trial a few weeks ago. My husband ordered me a lazerburner and I wanted to prepare myself in advance for the big day. I could not even use the demo because I could not enter any cerial number or attache it to a machine. I wanted to try and design some logos. Never did it before and this was supposed to be the first for me. What I like to know, will I be able to download it again when I have the machine and cerial numbers?
As far as I know after the trial is over you will not be able to use lightburn. I think there is an option to extend the trial by sending a email to the developer but I am not sure. If you are looking to design logos and other things, I would look at Inkscape, in my opinion lightburn is not design to be the creation tool, although it has some option for creating things, they are limited.
I have installed the updated version of the Lightburn on my macbook bro and windows, but the Art library is empty. Is there a way to download template for Art gallery please?
I really want to do this, but just watching,I feel absolutely stupid like this is totally beyond me.. I was going to order one of the laser engravers that has really good reviews and a laptop just for this.. I don't know if I can do it,
I'm having trouble cutting through 1/8 with a 100w laser. It will only cut out half my project and skip parts during the path of cut. My machine is level and my wood Is flat any suggestions?
My recommendations would be to make sure your laser is focused properly. Around the 5:00 minute mark I cut two coasters and I used to use 6 passes. My lens was not focus properly and not it only takes 1 pass to cut, 2 passes at the most. It may sound counterintuitive but more power is not always best, personally i would start at 40 power and 20mm speed and gradually increase power. Lastly I would look into purchasing a cutting lens. The default lens with most lasers are a universal lens but I purchased a 5in or 127mm focal lent lens for cutting. this is the one I use. www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01ER2ISWS/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Good luck. Let me know how it goes.
There is no way to learn Lightburn in under 15 minutes like this.... great video if you already know Lightburn... way to fast for a beginner trying to learn it. I'll save for later maybe but right now it just didn't help me at all. :(

Nice video. However, your voice is hard to understand sometimes and PL:EASE KILL the background music!

Agreed, but overall thumbs up 👍

Absolutely fantastic video! Coming to Lightburn from Laserbox Basic and I needed somewhere to start!

No lightburn will not work on the k40 without upgrading the k40 mainboard. I would recommend K40 Whisperer. Much better than the stock software.

What kind of laser cutter do you use?
A generic red and black co2 laser.
lightburn don't show bottom navigation bar on Linux Ubuntu machine
does lightburn work on any burner mine is tabletop diode laser
It depends on what firmware you laser diode is running. I had a 2.5w diode laser and it was running GRBL 1.0 and lightburn worked fine.
Thanks maybe doing something wrong
how you do whit a photo, to be as realistic as possible
