I just got hired lol and dude it was a nightmare 😂 I’ve never worked a fast food restaurant before and they already put me into drive through and it’s my day 3, the menu of the cash register is very difficult and very frustrating when it comes down in a rush hour.
register is all about experience and testing ur memory on where things are and how to edit and order. Listening to the order and getting that right is most important after dealing with the cash properly
Used to work here and absolutely hated it for this exact reason. The menu system is so outdated & complex and the pressure of taking customers order at a fast rate to go along with it can really screw with your mind sometimes

Same this is my second day…this is my first job and they put me on cashier..ive never worked before and i get nervous easily…everything else is somewhat easy but taking orders on these through the little headset is nerve wracking and it’s terrible….the shift leader yelled at me lol 🥲

@@marciejoy4344Honestly my only tip for you is that you’ll get used to it when muscle memory kicks in. Just give it some time, best of luck.
