Underrated comment

Thanks Jmar!
Ahhh. What a beauty. One of those songs that i forgot i love....talk about travelling back in time. Cheers Matt
You’re welcome D J, the time machine will be back in effect with more of your faves shortly 😀🤘
you have the best aic tutorials hands down
Thank so much man!
Can’t wait to get some new string and rip into this one. This just looks like a fun song to play. You teach well and easy to pick up what your putting down. Deff got a sub here.
Thank you! I would never figure of out by ear and it's so simple
You're welcome, happy to help! :-)
Mad love man. I spun Unplugged to death for years after the date of it's release; 1996 maybe? And I love tripod most among all of their records. Still listening to them in entirety when I feel a bit dark inside lol.
Yea their unplugged showed just how good they are, amazing harmonies and songwriting. I think the drumming on that is really unsung too 🤘
@@LetsPlayAll drum is the standout for me. Sparsity does go a long way
Really tripod is your favorite? Never heard anyone say that but that's cool
@@michaelpowers4882 oh yes. Nothing out there sounds like it, to me. To be fair my music vocabularies are limited. Look at Nothing Song, Head Creeps, Frogs.
Louis CK + Alice in Chains -- epic. Love you brother
Thank you so much for the very nice lesson! There are not many lessons that I could find. Yours is one of the best. Would love a lesson on the solo section too. P.S. That is a beautiful guitar you have there.
Hey John thanks for the kind words and will get the solo section on the list! 🤘😀
Great lesson plz do the solo I would definitely watch that. Thanks for uploading
Cheers Lee will do!
Grest lesson man! Waiting for the solo lesson!

Standard tuning: Emaj lead line w your pinky, Cmaj lead line w your pinky, Amaj to Dmaj to Cmaj, Cadd9 back to Emaj. Then do it again 👍 dont wear out your strings tuning back and forth
Did you ever post the solo?
Nice cover, be honest who thought the promo image was Louis C.K.?
Haven’t had too much struggle learning songs until now

@@LetsPlayAll well i’m the first one then :) I have looked for the tabs but there is none. And i tried to find it in youtube too but couldn’t find it. If it’s possible can you please try to do it. I would really appreciate. Thanx. 🤘🏻
@@laynestaley4216 i'll add it to the list but i've got a load of Patreon requests at the moment so those get priority if you're keen for it :-)
Here you're tuned to opened D not C sharp!
Was confused at first.
oops! :-)
Nice guitar! What brand/model is that?
Thanks! faith Venus blood moon
Love this tutotorial! but could you explain how you bar using the index finger only at the start? I've been trying for days and I can't get it right (I can play normal bar chords). I feel like having to use the pinky is taking away alot of the baring strenght in my index (because the index rolls over when I try to reach 4 th fret with the pinky). Also How do you place your thumb behind the neck when you bar at the start?
Thanks and sure thing! Basically my thumb is at the middle of the neck for that first bar chord but the tip of my thumb is pointing towards the headstock. Basically if you take your finger off the back of the neck completely and fret all 6 strings with your first finger, your thumb should naturally be in the most comfortable position to help you figure out where it should go. Hope that helps!
Este cara realmente te ensina, muito bom mesmo, assim é que se faz!
obrigado amigo!
Please make solo part of the same song ❤️
gracias por la lección, saludos desde BsAs.
¡no hay problema, denada!
YEAH! Thanks!!!
Thanks for your time spending to teach us great songs! Keep it up and stay healthy!
You’re welcome Philip hope the lessons are helping keep you all out of mischief 😀🤘
Solo pleaseeee one of my favorites
It's on the list!
Excelente maestro, una pregunta esta en la afinación standard?
No as per description :-) - Tuning is Dropped D but down 1/2 step: Db Ab Db F Ab Db or C# G# C# F G# C#
@@LetsPlayAll con razón en mi guitarra no sonaba igual jajaja, y eso que la tenía en Eb 🤣🤣
Muchas gracias
Not seeing a link for the solo...or is it the Patreon one?
Oo not sure I’ve done the solo for this yet, on the list tho!
Please do solo lesson for this song!!)
Will do at some point mate 🤘
Suena genial
I prefer open C sharp over open D flat.
Fair
anyone else get super nervous tuning that A string up
Soloooooooooo
Solooo
:-)
Clicked the vid to make sure this guy wasn’t Louis C.K.
pretty sure i'm not :-)
In a werid way the veey different tuning and rhythms remond me of learning monkey man by rolling stones just a tottakly different animal
I just dont get the tuning
my whole guitar is tuned down a 1/2 step (or one fret). So my E string becomes Eb or D#. Repeat for all other strings. Then tune the E string down a further 1 step (or two frets to Db or C#. So it's basically drop D tuning but down 1/2 a step cos all AIC tunes are tuned down 1/2 a step. Hope that helps!
Problem is having a dedicated guitar for one song lol if you want it to play and sound right
Only takes two mins to retune 😀🤘
I know this is a 3 year old upload, but I just picked up my Ibanez for the first time in 10 years and I am dedicated to learning this thanks to your video.
Great to hear mate, stick with it!
anyone else get super nervous tuning that A string up
where's the solo ?
good to see louis c.k. os broadening his horizons!
I love this song so much and the unplugged version is incredible. Great video!
Cheers Hill!
Yeees 2nd part 🥺😍😍
I simply don’t think my hands are large enough for this, time to get a smaller guitar lol
Man pls do give us that solo! This is the best tutorial I've found so far and I really want to learn the entire song
thanks Mareh!
way way better than the other guy
We want the solo part!
Pliss the soloooo
no solo?
how do you mute the strings? also thanks for the tutorial
you're welcome! i'm just using the karate chop side of my right hand to rest on the strings, like a subtle palm mute basically. Hope that helps!
I can’t get the tuning right dammit
If you have a tuner just tune low to high to Db Ab Db F Ab Db or another way to think about it is C# G# C# F G# C# (both are the same, ie C# and Db are the same thing) - or check this out from about the one minute 30 mark ua-cam.com/video/621PjeMsmQo/v-deo.html
You ever do the solo?
Err i lose track to be honest haha possibly not (yet) then!
Thank you
You’re welcome 😀
I love the solo of this song version
I would love to learn the solo
I tell you what gov, this one's a real bitch to get down!! Damn, Jerry Cantrell is a genius, it's so intricate, SO MANY LITTLE PARTS.....It's not that technically difficult, but, it IS in it's own way. You play it beautifully, however your teaching is a little fast, you make it look too easy!!!! ALICE FOR LIFE!!!!👍✔👀
Thanks man! Stick with it!
Much love for this version.
I made an arrangement that uses capo and standard tuning. Then I found out that Jerry uses the same shapes but without a capo sometimes too.
Cheers Luis!
Great job!!
Thanks Razor!
amazing guitar work.
Jerry’s a beast!
