Dry soil accounts for 70% of the dirt on carpets this is a perfect example of that. Imagine if a steam cleaner went in there & just started pre spraying & steaming everything. They would create a lot of mud pushing it further into the backing. Very nice vacuuming!
Sharks are good for low pile carpet and stairs, I find that my hoover does better on high pile carpet since it's heavier so there's more weight being put to push the brushroll in the carpet
