This voice actor for Homura is perfect. Whenever she screams and cries, you can feel the pain in her voice. It’s probably the most heartbreaking sound I’ve ever heard.
After watching this and listening to Madoka’s theme, I get why Homura does what she does in Rebellion. It’s because Madoka actually didn’t want to go. Yeah, she’ll see the other girls eventually, but she won’t see her Mom, Dad or Tatsuya ever again. She’ll never have a normal life. But she puts on a brave face for Homura and every other magical girl’s sake. People may hate Homura for her actions, but she ultimately fulfilled the wish Madoka asked her; to keep her from being tricked by Kyubey, even if it means essentially putting her in a dollhouse and hoping she never remembers and proceed to kick her ass for trapping her.

Sailor Rebecca That doesn't justify what homura did! She tried to stop what was the inevitable! Why? Because it's still madoka's choice in the end. What the fuck girl? Really look at what's going on. I understand where you're coming from homura but seriously? Life hurts. We already know that but some of us chose to keep living for the people we love and lost. So why not respect what madoka did to save you and everyone she cares about?! Geez, even sailor moon, yugioh, yuno gasi, & mlp make more sense than this bs.
I only cried during the credits after Sayaka and Kyoko died, and then I cried at almost every moment after madoka's death in timeline 1. I didn't like Mami the first time I watched and I was sure she isn't truly dead, so I didn't care that much in Ep 3. Only felt sad for Mami in the next episodes, when I noticed she was not coming back. Also, Episodes 6 and 7 made me really sad and uncomfortable because of what was happening with Sayaka.
For me it was Mami: Sadness Sayaka: Disappointment Kyoko: Annoyance Madoka: Admiration And of course Homura per se didn't die so I couldn't really say...
Homura’s one of the few anime characters I love hearing in English. Sure I still prefer Japanese, but Christina Vee (I think that’s her name?) does an excellent job at portraying her character and emotions.
It is interesting that homura firstly (whatever) does mention that madoka won't have her friends and family. She talks about not remembering or seeing her after that, which kinda points to her selfishness but she still prioritizes madoka's normal life first. I love this show too much.
@meow-magedon2657 also if I just randomly found a video of two young girls floating naked in space I wouldn't care what they're saying without already having context lol
This is ending is an absolute masterpiece. This show was full of sad moments and disturbing deaths, this being the finale really sets the tone for how bittersweet this anime was to watch
Ok I've seen sad moments in the history of Animes but this one takes the cake. Cristina Vee and Christine Marie Cabanos really did a very good job with this one.
"When she's coming to take Homura with her, she's still in her human form" Go watch that scene again, she's clearly the law of cycles in that moment. Also, since Madoka can see ALL the possible universes, that means she should have been able to see what would happen after she left Homura's witch barrier, so that means she should have been able to see Homura's actions. Then: 1) Either Madoka saw this, and let Homura take a part of her. or 2) It IS a plothole. (Actually the biggest plot hole of rebellion).
As far as I can consider, Madoka is in a state that is above the multiverse in a sense. She knows what paths each possibility might take, but it's possible that she doesn't know her own future since she, by all rights, doesn't exist in space and time. As a result, anything she does to the multiverse changes it in a way that she won't necessarily see coming until she's done doing it. So, when she goes down to take Homura, she's essentially creating countless possibilities in real time that she can't really account for until she's done altering it with her mere presence. As a result, she couldn't have seen Homura's heel turn coming until the moment that possibility happened, or that Madoka takes a step back to see what her current actions will result. God, it's a mindfuck just trying to explain this. tl;dr. Madoka can see the universe's future, but not necessarily her own.
Theory: Madokami actually can't see Homucifer existing, because by all means, Homucifer never existed in THIS universe, but the new one she'd create, where Madokami has her powers sealed.
@@andythebestok yeah Madoka isnt omniscient, only omnipresent to which at that point in time she wasn't which is clearly shown because everyone can see her and she can also be touched

As opposed to sending her back, Homura accidentally slipping what happened to Kyuuby, and the whole issue of not letting herself be taken in by the Law of Cycles while they were watching to confirm Madoka's existence.
I just realized that this was the first hug in madoka magica that came back. like all the hugs had in the series, it was only from the person who gave it, the one who received it, did not return it. this was the first time. madoka hugged homura, and homura hugged her back. nothing, just something that I noticed.

@@soifinallyhaveanaccountnowWhy would a God be lying about her literally seeing everything in existence, space, and time and being everywhere in existence, space, and time. That's completely way TOO specific for a 14 year old to JUST casually normally say for "comfort" or "making someone feel better" or something. Oh yeah and also, Magia Record confirms this even more by doing it again and confirming she's a actual literal omnipresent omniscient actual literal God who can literally see everything, literally has infinite knowledge of everything, and is everywhere in the past, present, and future, literally everywhere thru a infinite multiverse. So, yeah, 100% plot hole. The English dub script is also completely wrong cause the original Japanese sub has her saying "we'll see each other again" cause she literally already knows or something like that when she goes away NOT "I don't know when".
This ending episode (basically the last 10 -15 minutes) made me tear the longest i had and idk why, it's sad as hell. And every time i'm about to stop another sad thing shows up and i start again..
you can clearly see how homura is depressed here , i mean she litarally traveled 100 timelines to save madoka , and all the previous resaults were brutal fails , and even though she somewhat prevented madoka from destroying the world as a witch , it caused madoka both her humanity and existence .
2:38 MADOKA PLEASE DON'T GO Modka:sorry i have to meet with the others now.. I don't know when but i will see you again homura Promise So untill then make sure you take care of urself ok? Humura:MADOKAAAAAAAAAAAA
people saying madoka really didn’t want to make this sacrifice & that homura was in the right for doing what she did in rebellion are completely ignoring madoka’s development & madoka’s whole character completely. she made the sacrifice because she wanted to, she felt as if she had no meaning up until now, & when she knew her wish could change the fate of the universe, & she knew the fate of all magical girls, she knew she had to help. madoka was able to create hope in a world filled with despair. granted, her hope isn’t the most stable thing, but it’s a start . a good start. & madoka was prepared to make it happen. edit: ironically enough homura is the reason madoka feels this way, because homura has taken away all of madoka’s agency in so many timelines in an attempt to keep her from becoming a magical girl. if you watched your friends die & you could do nothing to help/stop it, you’d have some self esteem issues i bet
calacalamari but in rebellion with the real Madoka in Homura’s labyrinth, Madoka said she would never leave her friends even if she had to. I don’t know if she herself knew that her wish would be a sacrifice. That her wish would create a paradox and make her become a god. She did accept it in the end because of her character and the circumstances, but I don’t think she expected any of that
Natasha Tides she was even informed by kyuubey that this wish would make her a god, a concept, & madoka was completely okay with that. in rebellion, when madoka says she couldnt of handled a sacrifice like that, madoka is only saying what homura wants to hear. madoka’s memories are being influenced by homura’s labrynth. homura wanted to hear validation of her thoughts & madoka was there to give it.
calacalamari shoot, see I don’t remember the series that well, I watched rebellion like 4 days ago. And I did not know the labyrinth did that, I thought it was truly Mami, Madoka, and Kyouko I’m there who had no recollection of their past lives, but acted as themselves
Natasha Tides yeah, homura’s labrynth can be very confusing sometimes lol. you’re right, its the real them just without their memories, its just homura’s labrynth can also influence people’s memories & what they’ll do, too, even if homura doesnt realize it
It takes a lot for me to get emotional. When I first watched this (yesterday) I didn't cry at all at this scene but after watching it again I find myself tearing up Same thing happened with Violet Evergarden. I didn't cry at all at my first viewing but after watching it a second time I couldn't keep it in anymore
Yeah I always thought it was weird when seeing a semi naked scene in a magical girl transformation but apparently in Japan little girls being naked isnt seen as sexual but rather symbolizes purity? Knowing that made me feel alot less awkward
Damn it, I got my video block and I tried to dispute it. Let cross our fingers and hope they let me keep this video without any copyright strikes. Update: I think they let me keep it........
I just realized this scene is censored?? They gave them some dresses but the anime has them implied as nude. I prefer the anime version more lol. It has much more of a personal, vulnerable feel to it- it's more intimate.
From what I remember at least in logic of Sailor Moon (tho I heard this like years ago, so I probably don’t remember everything but like-) nudity in a non-sexualized setting for anime is suppose to imply purity and vulnerability in an emotional stance, usually innocence is at play too… tho this is more if the nudity is kinda silhouetted, as In you aren’t suppose to see like nipples, crotch gross shit. Then it’s kinda like… why- ye know? Tho outside Japan, uh, nudity especially with established not-adult characters, censors will come in anyway, at least here it wasn’t a black bar or something distractions, they got pretty kinda lace cloth dresses and white sparkles.
νιятυєѕ Do you want no one think that I just realized that towards the end they’re actually wearing dresses that’s we heard in the enemy they were completely nude oh my God a senates just came out more weird
A large part of me wishes Homura had asked to be with Madoka, or for her to be visible to others by choice Also I hate to say it, but maybe letting her keep her memories was a mistake?
Madoka! Please don't go! Sorry, I've got to go meet the others now. I don't know when, but I will see you again, Homura, promise! So, until then. Make sure to take care of yourself, okay? MADOKAAAAA!!!
This version of the scene is basically the Magicant from the English version of Earthbound whereas the original 12 episode version is like the Magicant from the Japanese version. They both censor the nudity.
This scene is so heart warming, I picture Noel Vermillion from Blazblue and Silica from Sword Art Online having this moment, to my favorite actresses Cristina Vee and Christine Marie Cabanos
All the ppl talking about feelings and shit I watched this for powerscaling She is every where and at everything so she becomes omnipresent and omniscous in a verse with infinite universes plus she transcended this plain of existance
Remember when you went away, And I got my knees and begged you Not to leave because I'd go berserk? You left me anyhow and then The days got worse and worse and now *YOU SEE I'VE GONE COMPLETELY OUT OF MY MIND.*
Oh, fuck. I realized something.. In the timeline where Homura makes her wish and begins all of this, if I remember correctly - When Madoka was about to fight against Walpurgis by herself (since Mami died), Homura begged for her not to go, then Madoka says that she needs to leave but she's happy that she met someone like Homura and etc. The last thing she said to her after she left for her own death was "Take care of yourself.", followed by Homura screaming "KANAME-SAAN!!" If this scene and the scene I'm talking about are supposed to be parallels, then holy shit this is genius. Like, the beginning and the end, with the same phrase: _Take care of yourself._ puella magi madoka magica stop being such an amazing anime challenge (IMPOSSIBLE!!!)
Saddest moment!!! I cried the first time I saw this!!! I just really like emotional anime!! But still comedy anime is still a bit better than emotional ones..

Madoka: Homura? No she’s a very good friend

Friendships last for centuries,not forever.
“are they dating?”
“worse.”
2:46 liar! your a god now! And you just done saying "I see it all now"
1:52
H-hey! HEY, I SAW THAT! YOU AVERTED YOUR EYES, KANAME! YOU AVERTED YOUR EYES! WHY DID YOU LOOK AWAY FROM HER WHEN SHE ASKED YOU THAT?
1:58
Oh, and then you dodge the question entirely, great! Is there any question whatsoever why I'm a Homuciferian? You're a hack, Kaname.
Rebellion's biggest plot hole ever.
andythebestok "Oh shit, I'm in *that* timeline."
@@andythebestok She was probably just lying to make Homura feel better, so no plot holes here, just empty promises!!
"You're my very best friend"
Me: Damn it Madoka
It’s ok hameru, rabu
This ending episode (basically the last 10 -15 minutes) made me tear the longest i had and idk why, it's sad as hell. And every time i'm about to stop another sad thing shows up and i start again..
that scream must’ve hurt…
Homura did nothing wrong. No one but her can experience that special emotion she has
you can clearly see how homura is depressed here , i mean she litarally traveled 100 timelines to save madoka , and all the previous resaults were brutal fails , and even though she somewhat prevented madoka from destroying the world as a witch , it caused madoka both her humanity and existence .
2:38
MADOKA PLEASE DON'T GO
Modka:sorry i have to meet with the others now..
I don't know when but i will see you again homura
Promise
So untill then make sure you take care of urself ok?
Natasha Tides yeah, homura’s labrynth can be very confusing sometimes lol. you’re right, its the real them just without their memories, its just homura’s labrynth can also influence people’s memories & what they’ll do, too, even if homura doesnt realize it
calacalamari ahhh alright then. Thanks for the clarification
Oh my god even after becoming a god of sorts, madoka can't fucking tell that homura might be in love with her
no matter how many times I watch this scene I always cry.
MadoHomu walked so Jayvik could run
Gah, this part literally makes me cry...EVERY DANG TIME UGHHHHH 😢😢😢
Homura : *have a mental breakdown*
Madoka: NUH UH
It takes a lot for me to get emotional. When I first watched this (yesterday) I didn't cry at all at this scene but after watching it again I find myself tearing up
Same thing happened with Violet Evergarden. I didn't cry at all at my first viewing but after watching it a second time I couldn't keep it in anymore
the background song is so beautiful im gonna cry😭💓
Wow. I wish I had known about this version when I watched this show with my dad. So much less awkward.
Ike Garvey I know that :p
_Copyright strike_
Lol this comment is 6 Years old! 😂 Atleast I'm not old as y'all!
AAAAA MADOKA WAS TOO GOOD FOR LIFE WE DON'T DESERVE IT AND THERE'S NO OTHER ANIME LIKE IT AAAAA
1:15 top ten sentences that will take me from happiness to MENTAL BREAKDOWN in 10 words
This scene really reminded me of Magicant from Earthbound when I first saw it. Both The MOTHER Series and Madoka Magica are amazing.
Oh hey, me from 3 years ago.

does anyone else get chills from hearing homura’s scream at the end?
Rewatching madoka in my current headspace was not the move
I literaled balling at this
A large part of me wishes Homura had asked to be with Madoka, or for her to be visible to others by choice
Also I hate to say it, but maybe letting her keep her memories was a mistake?
I love Puella Magi Madoka Magica ^-^ It's a really good anime
Me too; it’s in my top three favorite anime
Madoka! Please don't go!
Sorry, I've got to go meet the others now. I don't know when, but I will see you again, Homura, promise! So, until then. Make sure to take care of yourself, okay?
MADOKAAAAA!!!

i love doomed yuri
Can't wait for Walpurgisnacht: Rising! We've come this far.
madoka: homura
Why does this random audio i found make me cry 💀
Damn. I just hate it when I get frienzoned by a literal God
2:56 Honestly, most underrated anime scream imo
This version of the scene is basically the Magicant from the English version of Earthbound whereas the original 12 episode version is like the Magicant from the Japanese version.
They both censor the nudity.
Homura: God friended me
This scene is so heart warming, I picture Noel Vermillion from Blazblue and Silica from Sword Art Online having this moment, to my favorite actresses Cristina Vee and Christine Marie Cabanos
I mainly cry at scenes because of the music but in this scene, the music isn't particularly sad, without the music this scene will still make me cry
Oh, they're wearing dresses in this version!
2:42 Madoka: Sorry I got to go meet the others now. Who are the others?
Mami Sayaka Kyoko
Other magical who have died. She takes their soul when they reached their limit and about to become a witch.
I guess Law of cycle is where magical girls go when they died
Pain. :'(
All the ppl talking about feelings and shit
I watched this for powerscaling
She is every where and at everything so she becomes omnipresent and omniscous in a verse with infinite universes plus she transcended this plain of existance
Imagine someone who thought Madoka Magica was just some cliche magical girl show seeing this and being extremely confused
This how far I would go to help and protect them
Remember when you went away,
And I got my knees and begged you
Not to leave because I'd go berserk?
You left me anyhow and then
The days got worse and worse and now
*YOU SEE I'VE GONE COMPLETELY OUT OF MY MIND.*
Their ship gives me life
“All the times?? Even the time when I froze time to pee in your juice??”
All the times.
The last thing she said to her after she left for her own death was "Take care of yourself.", followed by Homura screaming "KANAME-SAAN!!"
If this scene and the scene I'm talking about are supposed to be parallels, then holy shit this is genius. Like, the beginning and the end, with the same phrase: _Take care of yourself._
puella magi madoka magica stop being such an amazing anime challenge (IMPOSSIBLE!!!)
I like the farewell in the series better. Not as trippy.
ShadowStarBlitz And it was much more depressing
"I see it all, and all the possible realities~" Except the one where she betrays you >w>
Saddest moment!!! I cried the first time I saw this!!! I just really like emotional anime!! But still comedy anime is still a bit better than emotional ones..
