    To see a pro admit that he has weak spots and weakness makes me feel better as a new roper. Even the pros have soft spots they need to work on, why should I beat myself up when I just started.

    The reason for the loop to almost figure 8 the nose is because his hand was beating the tip of the rope before it got to the horns or like he said he was delivering faster then his swing but that's just what I think

      It happens more often when you reach because everything is more front to back than across the horns. You don't see it happen a whole lot when running close.

    The figuer 8 was in front of the steer not to the left of it so when you pull your slack the loop opens and come off. It is usually not enough follow through. But I ain't no pro
