Mike, you are a class act. Appreciate the quick "thank you" after that crazy second loop from 25 plus feet. Amazing talent.

Hey There. Thank you so much for all your help. Because of you, I bought my first rope from your rope reviews And I just bought a roping dummy. But I have a really dumb question, please don’t laugh. Why does everyone put those “head/horn wraps” on a dummy…….? Does the rope wear down the dummy, or wear out the rope faster. Thanks for any

If you practice enough, you’re gonna wear out A BUNCH of ropes and develop a “feel” for what what’s right. Rope 1000 times with a horn wrap (which is what you’ll rope on a steer that is roped on a regular basis) then rope on just the plastic dummy without a wrap. You’re gonna wanna pull your hair out. Regardless, just get out there and practice EVERY DAY.

This isn’t a training tutorial as much as it’s just a guy saying “hey watch this.”

He showed off but there’s still value in the video. I struggled roping both horns and now I know why.
