Matt, I have been using Fenix products for over 10 years now, even had my agency add them to the uniform list! I carry one everyday and have yet to find an issue with any of the Fenix products. My son carry’s one on his department working midnights and uses it often! Nice to see you representing for this product! Greg
Please help! I'm ordering a hiker for the 2024 season. I've never had a camper, and the electric options seem... Confusing. On a FB thread, I was told I can't just plug my camper in at the campground and have my fan and outlets powered. What??? Isn't that the point of plugging it in? I looked through your videos, and I don't see one that is about the electrical options. Can you recommend some vids to help me out? I am scheduled to visit Hiker at the IN location next month, but I'd like to have some basic knowledge before I go. Thanks for any help you can give ❤
I looked at that fenix series of flashlights. I ended up getting the Nitecore 20iX. This has 4000 LUMS and a wide spread light. Good for blinding someone in your house. I just got a second Nitecore P23i and this has a more focused beam. Good for watching racoons at a max of 3000 LUMS. I have 3 extra batteries for these 2 flashlights. But in reality, I think I would overheat the flashlight before I could use a second battery.
I carry the Nitecore E4K. The Fenix E35 can't even come close as there is no moonlight mode with the E35 as well as this E35R. I have several spare 21700 USB-C Nitecore rechargeable batteries for it so there is no issue with my flashlight being useless. In fact I just plugged one battery with the charging cord after using it for a solid year.
I have a Fenix and a Zebra Light. I like the Zebra Light better, but it's more expensive. There's really no way you're getting 3100 lumens more than 30s on any flashlight that size. It's the heat thing you mentioned. You might get a little bit more time in the winter with colder ambient temps. I think if you want that kind of light longer, you need a bigger flashlight.

Thanks for sharing. I have switched from Streamlight to this light for edc and liking it.

3100 lumen mode does it last at least 20min or less?
1-3min in summer and i think 5-7min in cold winter.

No tail switch, small, worse candela. The run time matches bigger better lights on the same brand.
Magnet in tail
It's a flood beam. Most folks don't need 5k lumens to walk outside at night lol.
@@watsonvillian 1K minimum. You need it bright enough to see in the bushes or trees. Your life ain't worth saving 5$
so to get any meaningful flood you have to go to high
