Regular Rollers is required watching
8:30 FYI - the UD Power Decks are CD-ROMs not DVDs. Don’t try it in a DVD player it will jam and float. They are specifically made mini-discs that fit in PC optical drive trays. Regularly Roll On 🎉
Still have a Barry bonds like this I pulled as a kid…dude bought it in a fire sale for $3 and never paid…card sits in my forever collection now!
@@adamchurch8244 I have almost the entire Basketball Ball Set of the CD-ROMs and even a Matrix Movie 🎥 promo disc. Very cool collectibles but read that they cost too much to continually produce ☹️
Class is in session... “Now you know. And knowing is half the battle…”
Thank you, Chris, much appreciated 👏👏 🙌
There is no possible way PSA has people that are experts on 10's of thousands of different athletes signatures.
It’s the Wizard of Oz! 😊
But they do have thousands of people who will upcharge you just for doing their job
@@llamedicaThere's no place like home!
Not only athletes, also other celebs. I looked up Ripken autos, and that one bears no resemblance at all.
Hi Chris, thanks for the video. Always enjoy regular rollers.
Great score on Ed Matthews, I noticed his cards generally go for lower prices compared to other vintage HOFers.
Oddly, my brother just randomly dropped off a box of those UD disc cards he found in an abandoned storage unit. I had no idea they were a thing--missed them at the time I guess.
I dunno about you guys, but I like Wednesdays with Regular Rollers better than Wednesdays without Regular Rollers
I just like being regular😄
I love both.
Yah BGS and SGC grade the CDs or I have seen them in the holders anyways. Love the Emmit Smith one!
5:43 Being a lot, it also bypasses the ‘eBay Authentication Guarantee’ process as well, which would be a red flag for me.
Another masterpiece from the man the myth the legend: baseball card collector investor dealer beekeeper Mage. Keep on rolling (said Fred Durst and lymp biscuit)
I pulled so many Kobe topps rookies as a kid. I think I still have a few somewhere, but I don't have the 50th anniversary edition ones anymore and I know I had some of those too.. Damn..
That Ripken was $27 because it’s not frickin real!! If it’s not authenticated by the card company why do people blindly trust PSA, BGS, JSA when they authenticate autographs?? They authenticate and slab so many forgeries it’s not even funny…. That Ripken auto is laughable
Maybe take a second and ask yourself did PSA authenticate the auto? Or just the card …?
Doesn’t change my comment in any way, shape or form.
Anyone else terrified that one of their sales will show up on regular rollers with the story “the listing only mentioned a 2018 Tom Brady, but didn’t mention it was the super rare reverse reverse image variations, worth thousands. I think $5 was a good deal”?
Hahaha :)
8:57 Another note, if you do grade this, you can no longer watch the DVD 🤷♂️
I have to believe at some point "authenticated" in person autographs will not hold as much value as they currently do. I personally think fraudulent autographs are more comman than we think. The only "real" way to know is if you handed the card to the player and saw them sign it.
Great show. Thanks for including my Mathews buy.
I shy away from the poorly displayed lot such as the Mantle..
I like to make money as much as anyone but there is something to be said for doing it by buying cards with upside and holding them rather than taking advantage of a poor listing.
Never knew about the 54 grey backs. Very cool!
One of the 87 Bonds also has a game used bat piece in the slab too.
Noooo it makes me so sad when my hidden gems show up here. Been getting those power decks for cheap forever but I guess nothing gold can stay
That Bonds lot was even more of a steal since one of them included a game-used bat relic as well
Yeah how much is that bat worth? Don't see recent sales. Gotta be worth at least an extra $15?
"all of them"
I saw that mantle listing. Felt like it was too good to be true.
I still have the complete set of baseball DVD cards. I should buy a DVD player and see if they play. Will report back.
powerdecks are cds not dvds
Is the Barry Bonds 1987 Topps card in the middle row on the far left some kind of bat relic? Or is that some kind of grading company deal?
It has a bat relic that was provided by Beckett
The Power Deck cards are same size as any other regular die-cuts. The thickness is like a jersey card. I don't get why grading companies refuse to grade these. One day they will. PSA used to not grade Star NBA cards, now they do.
Great as always.
@4:19 lol
you tricked me! I was like I am pretty sure they were all on the dream team, maybe pippen wasn't
The Mantle collection, I always keep in mind, "buyer beware" with listings like those. If too good to be true, then most likely it is. $3700 is a lot to lose.
To the person that asked the powerdeck question, no company grades these and to my knowledge, they have never been faked as their value is minimal.
I could be wrong but I believe it was the Ripken card that was authenticated… not the auto. If the auto had been authenticated it would say “Trading Card” on the header.
They put the 'Trading Card' when its some unauthorized/reprint card. They do it a lot with cards such as the Bird/Magic Rookie. It'll be a reprint of the card but the autos are legit.
I believe you are incorrect. PSA actually lists “Reprint Card” in that instance. The “Trading Card” designation is used for licensed cards when the card is not being graded or authenticated along with the auto.
If it was just the card, it would simply be a PSA label. But it has the PSA/DNA label meaning it is authenticating the auto.
Yea! I received a gold star today!
I personally own about 20 Cal Ripken autographs, that were signed throughout his career, and I know we are supposed to take PSA grading like the Bible, but that Cal Ripken autograph is 100% fake.
PSA never claimed it was real.
@@checkmuggedwhat part of ‘authentic’ didn’t you understand?
@@joelb.2685 PSA authenticated the card, not the auto genius.
ha the cd rom cards. man. i had tons of those. no idea where they came from. they were in all the repack stuff for a while. threw out all of them. bummer.
Powerdeck is on a CD with a very short clip at an extremely poor resolution of probably 160p or 320p. I think that would have looked good on a flip phone in the late 90's. If you are buying to find out what is on the CD, don't, it won't be worth it. Any UA-cam highlight videos would be 1000x better and watchable.
Hi Chris how do you see best offer accepted price?
You can see them on 130point.com
Kobe!
I bet 99.99% of BCCG cards are graded a 10... and 100% of Gem are 10.
Can we take a second and address the buyer’s thought process for the Ed Mathews ‘54 gray back? He basically in summation said the _least_ the card could be worth is $300 so he prepared a last second bid of just over $100. What the hell kind of sense does that make? Can you imagine how disappointed and upset he’d have been had the card sold for $115? (or just over whatever his snipe was). I’ve heard of people do this before and it makes no sense assuming you aren’t on some sort of budget which most of us can pull together a couple hundred dollars when we could immediately resell it for a profit if we wanted. His snipe should have been much higher, at least 2 bills.
As the buyer of the Mathews card, let me answer your concerns.
I wasn't looking for a 54 grey back, I was in search of a 50s Mathews in the $50-60 range. When I figured out what the card was "worth", I then needed to determine what I was willing to pay for it. I debated this with myself all day. I finally decided the only way I was winning is if nobody else bidding knew how rare this card is. I set my price accordingly fully expecting someone to outbid me. I would not have been disappointed or upset if I lost.
I have no problem spending a couple of hundred on a card if it's something I want but I only buy for my PC. I'm not interested in flipping cards.
Have a great day.
@@checkmugged I could be wrong but after much thought I came to the conclusion that the maximum bid for this card would be either under $100 or over $300, making a $200 bid moot.
As for the ease of reselling, due to the rarity of the 54 gray backs, it wouldn't be an easy flip. To get the best price I would most likely have to go through one of the big auction houses and I have no experience with that.
Love the channel... You know what I thought wud of been really funny??? If the guy who bought ur bonds lot turned around and submitted it into regular rollers...😂😂😂 The chances hu???
Haha! That would be a first :)
I would love to see a regular rollers episode dedicated to 80s or earlier. With the obsession of ultra modern peaking, there's some really nice deals popping up for some spicy vintage!
