Most of the streets on the island have Italianate names. The center of Naples features a large fountain which serves as a popular meeting spot. The city was named after the Italian city Naples.

My son works on Naples island at Michael's on Naples. He's a sous-chef there I never knew how beautiful it was a Christmas time on Naples island. He never told me.

Naples is always a wonderful walk day or night and during the holiday season nights are magical. I would suggest, though, if you're ever able to visit do it on a week night between Christmas and New Years Eve. Most of the lights are on, but the crowds are gone. In the calm quiet the scene can be surreal.
