- It's the time of the year to see amazing Christmas lights decoration at Naples Island in Long Beach, California. Similar to Balboa Island in Newport Beach, the houses in Naples Island showcase dazzling array of holiday lights.
Naples is a neighborhood of Long Beach, California, United States, built on three islands located in Alamitos Bay. The islands are divided by canals which open into the bay. Most of the streets on the island have Italianate names. The center of Naples features a large fountain which serves as a popular meeting spot. The city was named after the Italian city Naples.

Awww, thank you for sharing. I grew up in San Pedro, went to CSULB in the early 1970s and have been living in WA State for decades, but I recall Naples. My hubby and I came to visit my parents maybe 20 years ago for Christmas back when they were still alive and we came here and the decorations were more lavish than I recall earlier ... but this is SO amazing!! I am so homesick for California. Happy holidays to you all. ❤️

Hi, not sure as to when they turn off the lights but you can see at 43:28 that viewing ends at 10pm.

Where can we park? I assume finding parking would be atrocious during Christmas time.
You can park around the fountain circle or at Toledo Street.
The parking is usually awful at this time. But if you're patient and willing to walk a bit you'll find something 😉

The first time I saw this back in the 90s it was creepy cause you could watch the homeowners inside looking out at you, and you know they were thinking Oh, you peons! Keep moving along and this is when these homes just started crossing a million mark.

Naples is the only island that also includes and inside the home contest, so visitors are encouraged to look inside and in some cases like with me to come inside the house(s), take pics meet owners.
People get offered to join the catered dinners, dance to the music.
Just can't be animals in behavior, or like everything else it will get too risky for aged homeowners to allow it.
But the last 30 yrs, it's been inside outside viewing. So go pass judgment on some other upper middle class (mostly white) (can you imagine?) neighborhood.

Hi, it's free. This is a residential area, I usually park around the fountain circle or at East Toledo Street.

@@coliethebaddest I was just here last night for the first time and it took me forever to find parking! (It was also Saturday night so yeah lol) Park near Naples Elementary, it’s within the residential area and just a few minutes walk to the lights. Worked out great for my toddler and I

People usually put up the displays beginning of December until New Year's Day. Lights are on daily around dusk. So worth it to stroll around. I'm not sure how it is this year but it's a popular event and can get quite crowded.
