- Yeah it might have jumped the Manga shark with the finale of this stage but overall what a game! What a return!
PS4 walkthrough. Normal difficulty

This video is the original stage 12 before it was made harder in a patch. I know some players are struggling to finish this level on normal difficulty so I have added a new video showing me complete it as Floyd. He may be slow but his strength and specials really help. Check it out and let me know if it helps ua-cam.com/video/kHbYZKw6Nfk/v-deo.html
I was cruising through this game without dying at all on normal difficulty. And then I got to stage 12 and I'm getting my ass kicked.
You will get better. The game really rewards replay. Don't know if it will help but here's a link to my deathless run of level 12 on hard difficulty. It starts around 1:52 after my trophy showcase which was the main subject of the video.

@@thewrath5391I'll take a look. I finally got through it. Just had to cheat and use that feature that gives you extra lives. Thanks
@@Jayhawker2000 what cheats?
@@MugsyBogues After you fail a level, you get an option to use more lives at the cost of points earned
@@nosidezero ohh that one… i always use that if i cant pass in the first 2 rounds
I came here just to hear the Big Bens laugh to this track. Hated that period, but the laughter somehow made the moment funnier than it was 😅😭
Lol never really noticed the big Ben's laughs before but now I can't unhear it 😅 I should make it into a short. The music on this stage is crazier than I remember.
I hate that the Mohawk women can attack you mid hit that makes no sense
Platinum trophy video for SOR4. Includes my deathless run of stage 12 on hard difficulty (with an S rank) ua-cam.com/video/LpEcjnWqbEI/v-deo.html
With assist is it still possible to unlock Shiva?
@@mr_ualready_know1837 yes. It will just take longer as you get less points for every round you play with assist on. I believe Shiva is the last character you unlock at 1,150,000 points.
Another version of Shiva will be playable right away if you buy Mr X Nightmare dlc which comes out around the 15th of July.
Oh ok thanks man
@@mr_ualready_know1837 no worries. Don't know if you are going for trophies but if you are try and get into the combo system. It makes the game so adddictive trying to keep your combo and you will score more points. I always do best with Floyd and SOR 3 Blaze.
The final boss Robot form is very reminiscent of Dead Rising 2: Off the Record Stacey Forsythe's encounter.
I'm glad you mentioned that. I have Off the Record on ps4 but never got round to completing it. I completed the regular Dead Rising 2 with Chuck years ago. This gives me an incentive to finish Frank's perspective now that I know the end boss is quite different.
How did you get that big spiky ball to appear where the big Ben's are? Everytime I reach that area there's no ball to be seen?
It may be something to do with the balance patch to the game made about a month ago. They changed some things but mostly to playable characters I thought. All the gameplay I uploaded so far is from the original day one version of the game. I'm curious to check out if it's still there myself.
@@thewrath5391 yeah after doing some research, I read about the patch. Got the game when it came out but have only just played it now. That part is especially hard as you have to fight all 3 variants of the big bens again
@@kolisionn I hate those Ben's. Sometimes I do well against them but one wrong move can set off a chain reaction. I played this game a lot when it came out and I would recommend Floyd or SOR3 Blaze.
They just seemed to work best for me. Blaze is just really fast and Max has good special move defences when under pressure.
Don't know if it wil help but when I got my platinum trophy I somehow managed to do the last level as Floyd on hard difficulty without losing a life. Here's a link to the video in case it helps with strategy. Just skip past the screenshot stuff as it goes on for a couple of minutes

@@thewrath5391 thanks for that bro. appreciate it
Damnnnn, i hate this stage so much, the final boss is so hard, Mr. Y and ms. Y
I finished it in menia+ and it was a nightmare.
@@casey-kimura What the- really?? Damn, i never played in mania+
@@Anzzz_0If you do your in for a ride.
Is it normal to use the assist? 2 lives and 1 star seems pretty punishing on this level for just 1 player. I just barely make it to the point where they use the robot tentacles against you but didn't have any lives left
I think it's quite normal to have to use assists on this last stage. It has some real bottleneck moments like the endless wave of fat guys and I always hate fighting those robots that throw pipes around.
When I did this walkthrough it was easier because there were a few less enemies. In the first patch they added the fat guy waves and a couple more enemies too. It's definitely a practice makes perfect kind of game where you can get better with repeated attempts and maybe find the fighter that suits your style best.
@@thewrath5391 I used the same assist and then had 2 lives still left at the end haha. But I think it was the confidence of not having 1 or zero lives during a boss battle that helped a lot as well. I look forward to playing no assists on multi-player mode. This was the only stage I needed an assist for since I have played sor2 many times, but yeah that fatty wave is insanely hard. The only other part I got stuck on was defeating max, but I eventually figured out his attacks.
I have this on nintendo switch and there is no spiked wrecking ball when you fight the fat guys.
Yeah they patched the wrecking ball out on all console versions in an update a few months after the game launched. It's not there on PS4 now either. I think they wanted to make the last level more challenging.
@@thewrath5391 thank you for getting back to me. Yeah this is the hardest part for me because it can take your life away so easy.
@@X_CHILLer_X no problem. When I was going for the games platinum I got pretty good as Floyd. He may be slow but his special moves are so useful when you are surrounded. You can then get some health back by following up with normal punches. Oh and it's probably worth using one of your super moves on the fat guys too. Floyd's is pretty devastating if you are facing all opponents.
This linked video below by another guy is a good example of what I mean when using Floyd on the last stage. Unfortunately this is also before the patch but all other fight principles are the same.

9:12 Clutch chicken grab
I can’t even beat this on easy, and now i’m stuck with this. Pls i need some tips guys.
I recommend using Floyd. Try and copy what I do in the linked video. I managed to do the last level on hard mode without losing a life. Just skip through the platinum trophy montage to see the last level in full. Remember to use your energy sapping specials when you are confident you can get the energy back by hitting easy opponents just after you use it. Finally practice makes perfect so good luck!
ua-cam.com/video/LpEcjnWqbEI/v-deo.html
You're probably playing post patch. Way harder since. No wrecking ball, statues in boss fight have ninjas in them along with the food - and Ms. Y's main attack is doubled up. Nightmare.
@@eamonmclaughlin5532 I need to go back and play that last level since the patch. It definitely sounds more tricky now.
This is hard o messy mode he has one person I have three people how did he win
ok I tried multiple times stafe 12 and always died at the robot stuff. I watched this because I was curious of the ending but thats so unsatisfying:( no cutscene just an end
Sorry to hear about your difficulty clearing the last stage. It's actually harder since I did it because they made it much harder with a patch to the game. Those fat guys are a pain to clear without taking much damage now. The ending is definitely a letdown.
I do recommend going for trophies for this game. It can get so addictive and shows just how brilliant the combo system is.
@@thewrath5391 oooh I didnt know about the patch :O I will try soon again to clear the last stage. Wish me luck!
@@A-Wa did you finish stage 12 a year on from your post here? This stage is insane compared with rest of game. What did the patch do this stage ? Add more fat dudes crazy level. Back to hot wheels time attack much easier ✌🏻🤪✌🏻
Normal mode with 4 lives ?
Yes. I died the first time and when you go to replay the stage you get the option to add lives and stars. I stayed on normal difficulty but obviously the extra lives and star gives me an advantage. I've improved a lot since this video. Currently working through s ranks on hard mode and just posted Stage 3 with no damage taken for the perfect trophy.
i just cant beat stage 12 on easy mode
I did it on normal but I did add an extra life the first time. It does get easier with practice. Once one of the two bosses jump in to the robot thing keep an eye on it's pinchers. You can avoid most of them. Try jumping around more against the robot and also try to earn an extra life by accumulating points as the round progresses so you have an extra one for the final battle.
@@thewrath5391 If you use SOR1 Axel, you can one-shot the crab boss just by using the police special.
Tried that but it took 2 police hits for me.
Same
@@cockshield which boss
Game difficulty is Easy not normal!
Nope this was normal difficulty on the original patch. I think I did take up some additional lives / specials when I failed first time but you can do that on any difficulty level. This was normal level. Anyway I have the platinum so I think I'm pretty good at the game. This was just my first playthrough you watched. It is harder since I did it because they added all the waves of fat guys in the first big balance patch.
Level 12 is a cheating peice of filth. They take lives off u like taking candy off a stranger. Absolute complete bollocks
I suck at this game!
Have you completed the last stage yet?
Wow assist mode... not tryna brag or anything but I beat it normal with no assist and I used Floyd
This was my first playthrough. I'm going through S ranks on hard now for the platinum trophy. Floyd is pretty easy to use so it's not worth bragging
The Wrath oh also I said not to brag
@@buzzcube2990 I know but it's kind of a reverse psychology thing to say. Not trying to brag equals actually I am bragging. Maybe I'm being cynical though.
Apunto estuve de pasar la stage 12 en normal sin asistencias con Axel, me tocará practicar más. Lo que si está claro es que la banda sonora es increíble.
made the final stage with floyd, the end is a shame
Yeah the ending feels a bit more Japan anime. Would prefer an ending like we got in SOR1 or 2 with some cool music.
