As the base has a scientific focus, I suggest Jang Yeong-sil as a base name. He was a korean scientist and engineer around 1420. He for example build an astrolabe to predict eclipses.
Real shame about that civilian running headfirst into the ship like that, he was on a roll while he was still outside.
The amount of friendly fire incidents in the crashed UFO mission probably would have been so much worse without that shiny new Warden armor.

Having random fatalities turn into casualties instead at the end of the mission was a great idea. More games should do that.

That overwatch turn had me cracking up
11:50 I was absolutely preparing a comment here on what the math actually says, but then you went all careful with your wording. It's a 1/8 chance to miss all 3 (also 1/8 to hit all three), 3/8 to hit 2, and 3/8 to hit once. So you do get 2+ hits half the time and it's probably worth it. But the 1/8 chance to just fail sucks, as would the possible miss hitting KANE with how things were lined up

All future archeologists will be told that all the damage happened in the UFO crash and there was definitely no subsequent damage. Any tank tracks found in building foundations are entirely coincidental and can probably be blamed on aliens or something. Different aliens though, the ones that built the pyramids because humans obviously can't pile rocks, not these ones.
48:25 ... that was also the aliens. That was a lot of 0 damage hits though, so armor clearly works.

That Civi was on “Brown Brown” and clearing is some of the most dangerous work anyone can do.
You don't have two sidewinders, each sidewinder point has two shots. You can also carry two sidewinders and an autocannon, which is the route I really like. Have one plane as the "guns" fighter, especially armed with dual laser lances later, and a second plane as the missile fighter, with four sidewinders and one autocannon/accelerated cannon
And while aesthetically I love the new jungle maps, wow are they annoying to fight through. Everywhere you turn is either not enough cover, or oops, all hard cover with for the aliens :)

At the start of the mission, I was raging because you seemed to have forgotten how to use flares, but thankfully by the end you remembered again😌.
There's a bit of an order-of-operations thing. Use flares before shooting, use flashbangs before anything else unless you're willing to risk overwatch.
Good game, awesome, playthrough. This is fun to watch.

To my knowledge, the is a early Base attack. That's why a recommended to build those turrets with rollers. 3-4 should be enough.
2 bases is eneough for all game.
You do know that missions targeted by a dropship don't despawn, right?
I do, but if you get the dropship to re-direct to let time pass the timer starts again, so if you mess up and launch with not enough time on the clock to wait out the terminator you have to commit to the night mission.
You could call the base "The Shatterdome" or "Pacific Rim"

Since the Research Base looks like it is in Korea, I would call it the Seoul Research Institute or SRI for short.
Right I'll throw my hat into the base ring and since you put in Korea in your planet on being a science base how about you call it "jang sil labs" or "jin woo labs" if you want to make solo leveling people happy
