Oh boy, I had a injury in my forehead similar to hers. Afternoon, I was going down a slope with my bike, wearing a backpack (me and my brother were pretending we were pizza deliverers and stuff, since we had brought a bike and a backpack at the place). My brother distracted me and made me look back up the slope where he was, and then when I turned back to face the downside again, I had strayed from the open trajectory and was going full speed (MAXIMUM VELOCIP ROTAT) towards a tree and lost control (swaying a lot). I panicked and pressed the handbar brakes too abruptly - fatal mistake when riding a bike too fast that every kid ought have learned about on way or the other, and I knew that too but the panick was too strong -, which HURLED me forward to the ground, landing on my forehead, while the bike kinda sommersaulted in the air and fell on my back after I landed. The bad part is that it wasn't just concrete, but that type of rough driveway floor full of gravel. I grazed my forehead the size of an apple and had to go to hospital perform a CT. After hours of waiting, that night there was a blackout during the exam and I had to perform it all again cuz it not only was interrupted but lost (no backup, don't know how), so I spent all evening till past midnight in hospital. Not only that but afterwise they judged the exam unecessary cuz when I arrived I perform the X Ray, and it showed a white line on my nose, which the doctors weren't sure if was fracture or rhinitis (which was the case, as the CT showed). The next day was first day of class in the new school.....way to make an impression hahaha. Everyone had to draw their faces in printer paper cuz they would be place on the top of the walls of the classroom for the rest of the year, so I got known as "the kid with the splintered forehead" for the rest of that year.
