"This restoration video is incredible! The transformation of the hunting knife is truly impressive. Watching each step of the process, from cleaning to sharpening, is so satisfying, and the final result looks amazing. The attention to detail and craftsmanship really shines through. Thank you for sharing such a skilled and inspiring restoration!"
Some types of knives and daggers have small handles, often this is due to the skill of handling, the smaller the handle, the more experienced the master
The thickness is 5 millimeters closer to the tip, the blade narrows. The length of the blade is 14.5 centimeters. The handle of the knife is 9.5 centimeters. The width of the blade near the handle is 2.5 centimeters and narrows
I start the restoration with a steel brush, because sometimes it’s enough to scrape the knife a little and it’s clean, I have such knives, I think in these knives, or rather in the steel of the blades, there are stainless impurities, so the rust is not dense and can be easily removed with a steel brush
Perhaps this is hardening and such an unusual pattern due to temperature changes, but there is a possibility that this knife is not made from one piece of steel. This pattern on the knife blade can be seen in this part of the video 01:38:00
I don't know how this will translate, but I hope this helps you.. This is not a 'hunting' knife in the same way as a bushcraft or camp knife is, this is a 'Nicker' (knife from German Genick, the back of the neck) and it is used specifically to quickly and painlessly dispatch or finish off a small animal like a deer or goat etc, that is still alive during hunting, by stabbing it in the back of the neck..it is for that reason it is small, thin, extremely sharp, and the handle is more for thrusting/stabbing than for cutting. It is of course used for 'hunting' in this sense, but calling it a 'hunting knife' can be confusing. 👍🏻
Wouldn’t cleaning it just be soap and water? This knife was rusted and basically unusable. This person restored the blade to its original condition and put a handle on it 😂😂 this knife was restored
1. Do not blue knife blades you will be using for food. It’s bad for you. 2. Find a book on knife-making and learn the finer points of knifemaking. Spending a little time up front will give you a nicer finished product.

Beautiful work!
Skvělá práce....moc pěkné!!💖👍
That's a purdy piece of work.
looks awesome ...
Very nice knife ❤
Hermoso trabajo. Saludos desde Buenos Aires
Nicely done. Although the original tang doesn't seem to make a comfortable handle for a hunting knife.
If a person has a huge hand, then yes, perhaps this knife will not be convenient in some moments
You did a awesome job my friend. Just beautiful
This is the most interesting thing about this knife 01:38:00
Thank you
I knw it,s only cleaning old iron, but why im keep watching.. until end vid..😅😅😅 thanks for sharing..
Gorgeous! Wow!
You are a skillful person. When I see your video, It immediately reminds me my late uncle. Keep on fettling!
I am familiar with these feelings...
Pissing on your knife works really well I’ll try it myself.
Perfectly balanced. Very 😎
Beatiful Work , I´m subscribe in your channel.
Excellent job.
The old, rusty knife has been restored, and soon a new video about the restoration of the old knife
Piękna robota .Pozdrowienia z Polski.
Nice restoration👍
I’m amazed it kept its point
Thank you, I have repaired a rusty knife, soon a new video about the restoration of a rusty knife, and I will repair another knife

Nice job sir..,,
Excelente trabajo realizado
Beautiful restoration
Super!!! The main thing is that everything is done with your own hands, without expensive infernal 3d printers and machines
Excellent result!
Thank you
A long, sharp, stout blade and a slender handle. A beautiful knife for a dangerous lady.
To slender handle ! Won't be good handling at any work ! NOT GOOD !

@RestorationOT great thank you. That is a nice knife and unusual for a hunting knife. Your restoration was beautiful.
Why was i trying to blow the rust of through my phone when you started scraping it lol😅
I reached for a pizza once, but it was a TV commercial
Very nice!

What kind of hunting is that knife for ??

@@mutasimaldory my only issue is with the hand/finger guard is too small, your finger can easily slip to the blade while stabbing

Nice work, but that' s not really a hunting knife, is it?
This knife is suitable for a variety of jobs
@@RestorationOT Meaning???
that's not copper, that's brass ;)
This is so unsafe. But entertaining. 😂

a hunting knife for butchering, and not only. If necessary, this knife can be used to perform most of the work related to hunting and fishing
Buy a drill press!
Perhaps, if you understand them, advise which one.
Thank you for your comment
Looks very "stabby"... 😐
Am a zing fininsh
Job is good, really good , but knife is .... Sure, it's not a hunting knife, or not real hunting maybe ritual....
This is just cleaning unattended knife. Not restoration.
Wouldn’t cleaning it just be soap and water? This knife was rusted and basically unusable. This person restored the blade to its original condition and put a handle on it 😂😂 this knife was restored
The handle is way too thin
The handle of this knife is narrow near the index finger, but it becomes wider closer to the little finger, which is convenient when we cut something
This has to be the most awkward looking grip on a knife I have ever seen.
It seems that you have not seen my previous videos about the restoration of knives
This video has some of the worst camera angles and third party viewing I've seen..
I'm studying
Looked more like a steak knife
Yes, this knife is suitable for this,

I take an old used knife, remove rust from it, create a handle. A forgotten knife thrown into scrap metal cuts again, and is suitable for work
Handle for knife
Not a very good choice of wood for a knife handle.
This is beech wood, why is it not suitable for the handle of a knife, is it due to appearance, or do you think that beech is not strong enough
