My friend has a 'secret room' with a bookcase in front of the doorway. One of her villagers came to visit and questioned her about what she is hiding in her secret room haha. The villager sent her a letter the next day mentioning how she has to know what the secret is she's hiding in that room.
@@nyongtory4e it's definitely true - my kid got the same letter as she has a japanese folding screen thing in front of one of the doorways in her house. I saw the letter myself!
I usually play in the early morning (5-6am), and this is what I discovered: If your villagers have already gone to bed or have not yet risen for the day, they will still show up on your HHP island if they work there. BUT they'll be fast asleep and if you try to talk to them, they'll only snore or mumble.
Make sense! I usally play nights like 10-12am and i got Dom working at the cafe before i was at my HHP and as we all know jocks usually sleeps around 10-11pm.. and he is asleep in the cafe on my HHP the same time lol
Use the night owl ordinance and it makes it where island time is 1-6a.m (when everything is closed) and the shops stay open a little later. Your island would come to life at 6
similarly to them being sick and not showing up if they work at the facility, if you have a villager on your home island that works at a facility and it’s their birthday, they won’t show up to work that day either! had this happen with shep recently lol
One weird thing I found is that if you go back and forth between rooms once or twice immediately after a villager enters your home, the game thinks they've spent lots of time there, and they'll tell you they're ready to leave.
I love that the second floor of the cafe is a gallery. Here in Canada LOTS of local cafes will have art displayed around that you can purchase if you’d like. Very cute detail.
You can also unlock second room for restaurant (private room; after you match some roommates) and hospital (ward; after you donate poki coins to a nurse).
Thank you! I literally would never have unlocked this, as I HATE HATE HATE doing roommates. I even went out of my way to undo the tutorial one with Maple.
I noticed, when you receive the power stone from Katrina in the mail, after a purification, it will circulate between colors each time you interact with it. Thought it was pretty cute.
If you want to move the house of a sick villager, it says that they're too unwell to move. Idk for how long this has been in the game but I thought it was very cute when it happened to me
I think the reason for the cafe having a gallery is because they are fairly likely to have art on sale, I know that there's one near where I work that sells some paintings
Funny story: I made a fast food restaurant instead of a gallery. And when I talked to one of the visitors, he said something like: "This was probably made by an artist who wanted to criticize the throw-away society." 🍔🤣
I did something similar, i love the gallery idea but it didnt fit with the theme of my cafe. I wanted to make an inn so i split the upstairs room into two bedrooms with a window between them. I like that you still have full creative control to do what you want 😁
I was playing last night and dug holes around Wisp so he wouldn't wander off and when I went to return his spirit pieces, he commented on the holes and how it's hard to move
So THAT'S why Lucky only worked as the chef in my restaurant for one day!! He was sick the next day. I didn't even realize the correlation. Thanks for explaining that!
I discovered this back the update first came out, when your villagers ask you to come to their home then when you leave the villager will give you a K.K. song. Boone gave me Mountain Song and another villager (I can't remember who it was) gave me K.K. Metal and Amelia gave me K.K. Condor. Another thing about the update that I discovered is when villagers come over to your house if you have music playing in a room the villager will sing the song that's playing (It's so cute) Boone was at my house and he sang Wandering. You can actually see Harvey's eyes if you talk to him from the side.
Oh yeah I visited Stitches and when I left, he gave me his favourite song ‘I Love You!’ It really made me happy cause it was one of the songs I didn’t have (and also one of my favourites!!$
There's a much easier way to get villagers out of your house without waiting for cockroaches to appear If you walk towards the exit, they'll ask if you're leaving, and when you say "yes" then they'll leave first, but it doesn't make you leave with them. Your character gets put back to where the entrance ends and the floor begins and you can just stay in your house
I just noticed this today, but the coocoo clock at the roost will chime at the hour mark. It's pretty cute, tho nothing too special just a neat feature
I restarted my island. I noticed that when you upgrade your museum from the tent, it goes directly to the full upgrade so you don't need to upgrade it a second time. It has the art gallery automatically. Which is a nice feature.
When referring to the cafe gallery or a restaurant gallery they are often referring to a dining area with a view, either of the surrounding scenery or with art or live musicians.
I just spent a week mapping out every museum floorplan for the Animal Crossing wiki. I just about had a heart attack when you told me there was a "Second floor to the cafe." Thank Resetti you meant the happy home cafe.
Your videos are always so helpful!! I just recently got back into animal crossing so watching your videos made it a bit easier to unload all these new things :]
About wasps: stand in front of the tree with a net, shake it and when a wasp nest falls out, your character turns to it automatically and after your character is done being shocked, just hit A and you got it. And they also don’t get to their job on HHP, when they are celebrating their birthday on your main island.
I do like these small details, but it would've been nice if the museum had a customizable gallery like New Leaf that Villagers and Players can visit. Our main island villagers being sleepy or sick can affect their job, seriously jobs should be added to the main game.
Another tip for moments when a villager is visiting:: I always go to a wardrobe and spend some minutes changing my outfit and when I close it again they talk about leaving my place Then you can choose the option that makes them leave or the one that says you want them to stay longer ;))
If you make a vacation home for Daisy Mae, she’ll invite her grandma Joan to live with her. After that, Joan will turn up at the hospital every Monday for medical checkup. Go speak to her and she’ll give you some turnips for free.
The swimming upto the floating villagers is so adorable. And I’m sorry but the fact that some villagers names are puns just cracks me up, like Patty the cow, a cow named Patty 😂😂😂😂. Just kills me 🤣🤣 BobsGang
Me: Avoids being in my house for too long in case one of my villagers barge in. Lmao, I honestly like that they come around but honestly they take forever to leave and there's not much to do with them.
You can talk to them a couple times and they'll play a game with you, then leave your house and they will leave too, only after you play their game though.
5:04 _"I personally found it very strange that they decided to go with gallery as a theme in the café"_ It's not an arbitrary decision though. They apparently wanted to mirror it with how your island has a café in the same building as the gallery (museum).
Give your villager a chocolate bar and they want to see where you work. Say yes and then go to work while there on the island you can design there very own getaway. You probably already knew that. But yeah its great
Another thing Ive noticed is that, since I made Reneigh the chef in my restaurant, if she is asleep on my home island she will be sleeping in the kitchen at the restaurant as well.
It's so weird hearing him pronounce pergola that way. In Australia we stress the GO syllable instead of the beginning syllable. So it ends up sounding like "pr-GOW-luh" instead of "PER-galah"
Adding to the thing about villagers not working when they’re sick, I got Bianca on my island right after I did her vacation home, and when I did her vacay home I set her to work in the apparel shop. Ever since the day she got to my island, ANNALISA has been working in the apparel shop, and Bianca NEVER shows up on the archipelago
Interesting detail I learned; If the animal working in one of the facilities like the restaurant on the main HHP island is packing or unpacking their home on the player’s home island, they won’t show up to work that day and will be replaced with another villager who has a vacation home. In my case, Frita (the best big sister villager IMO) was working as the apprentice chef in my restaurant before she moved to my island, and the day she moved in and was unpacking, I went to the restaurant to get my cooking recipe from head chef Zucker, and was given a message that one of the workers was busy, and instead of Frita, Tangy was standing there instead.
Besides being sick, the animals working at the facilities are given a ‘day off’ if they’re unboxing to settle in on your main island. I notice this cute little detail when I visited the café (where Sasha works) and he was absent they day he was moving in. He turned up for work the day after.
Fun little find that JUST happened while I was playing with your video on in the background… I’m very new, not even a month into my game, and I just received a pink-plumeria blush start from the teacher at the school on happy homes. I see in guides it can be obtained from Leif from June 1-Sept 20 so it was nice to randomly receive in December so I don’t have to wait 6 months to potentially buy it.
Imagine waiting all this time for them to add villagers coming to your house and not being happy about it, for shame... That being said, it is a bit annoying that you can't have a complete furniture set if you don't want your villager saying the same thing over and over again, but I will say it's a cool detail that if you bring them to a completely empty room they will have multiple comments about it.
What I wanna know is how you got Shrunk and Resetti on the same vacation plot. I've tested with Isabelle but she didn't want a roommate so I assumed you can't give special characters roommates
Do you have roommates unlocked already on your HHP? You get the roomate option after doing so many houses. I'm pretty sure the special characters can have roommates but I'm not 100% sure of this so take it with a grain of salt
I tried to make my gallery into a "sit and eat with gyroids" café, but the villagers walk around and don't really sit anywhere. It bothered me too much so I went full art gallery but still hung up gyroids all over 😛
I unlocked my foggy chair in a similar way. I can't remember who it was, but someone had the theme of 'chairs' or something of the like and I unlocked it like that
It’s also a thing that you cannot visit villagers at night in their vacation homes and they also live on your island. Then it says something like “you cannot visit (…) now. He/She is at home and already asleep.” Happened to me when I wanted to redesign Chevre‘s vacation home xD
(easy) trick for wasps: just stand in front and shake the tree with a Net in your hands and as soon as a nest falls out spam A they won't have a slight chance
3:05 Actually, we were able to complete the art exhibit wing, thanks to Crazy Redd's commune stand. Took a while to buy fake art and authentic duplicates from his trailer place before we got the last three statues that RNG-sus didn't bother to bless us with last year.
Like the boat ride with kapp'n you can clap along with the beat to k.k. sliders songs when he visits, AND the villagers that are listening to the song will clap along with you too! :D
It was Phil's birthday the other day, I had him working in the restaurant, but on his birthday he was at home on my island so the game swapped him out for Coco. Unfortunately they don't seem to put them back afterwards as Coco is still there and Phil is on the beach dancing in the sand.
A little detail when you have a villager in your house and you have a pipe in your house. Even if you hop in the pipe you will not be able to warp anywhere outside of your house
Small glitch that I've seen since the update and has made it thru each new patch: you can open your refrigerator and get changed?? Very silly but I'm surprised it hasn't been fixed yet 😂
Lots of cafes have little art galleries! It's a great way for local artists to get exposure and the cafe gets lots of sales! Sipping coffee looking at the exhibit chatting with the artist! It's great 😄
One of the 2 channels I watch about animal crossing and I really enjoy your videos and the information is soooo helpful thank you for keeping us up to date on new stuff!! 🧡🧡🧡🧡🧡
To catch wasps, all you need to do is have your net ready. Stand RIGHT in front of the tree. When the wasps appear, your character will spin to face them and get a yellow shock bubble. When the yellow bubble goes away, that’s when you cast your net. I catch them every time.
I’m not sure if you mentioned this already, but I noticed last night that all my gyroids dance/sing to the beat of whatever song I have playing in the same room 😊
You can also get rid of a villager once they have entered you’re house by going into you’re pockets for a bit then once you exit you’re pockets the villager is all like oh sorry you seem busy and you get the option for them to leave, it’s way quicker if you’re decorating than to just leave and come back in :)
Pro tip for shaking trees: ALWAYS shake the trees head-on. That way, when the wasps fall out, your character will turn to them and you can press A to swing your net. Also, if you catch five wasps in a row you get a miles achievement. Hope this helps!
when shaking the trees ALWAYS have your net out -- ALWAYS shake the tree from the south/facing up toward the tree so if a wasp nest falls you will face it and just use your net -- easy as pie every time
To catch wasps, just shake trees with a net on you standing right before the trees in front of them. That way, whan wasps show up, you 100% catch them as you automatically turn to them. It's that simple!
I dont know if this has happened to someone but Chai visited me today and gave me her photo without giving her a gift 🤩🤩 is Great to see they can give you that ítem just for visiting
7:40 also when they is their birthday , it happened to me with Tono ( I don't know his name in the english version , sorry , butis the rooster with a cranky personality that dresses like a knight) he was replaced by another character
I think the gallery above the cafe is a call back to the Roost being in the museum. A friend of mine had a chainsaw in their room right when you walk in. One of their villagers came to visit and left immediately. I like to think the chainsaw scared them off. They didn’t have any cockroaches.
Hamlet randomly showed up yesterday. I felt he over stayed his welcome as he kept asking to see other rooms so annoying. Generally, they turn up when I'm cooking. Bob's gang. I had this issue back in NL good thing villagers don't pester for set time to visit.
idk why they made the cafe upstairs a gallery theme either BUT many cafes in japan are two stories (same with fast food restaurants) and the upstairs is seating if you want to stay and hang out longer!
If a villager comes to visit and you don't want to deal with that start to walk out of your house. They will say something like, Oh, you've got something to do? And they'll leave.
Why struggle? When you shake a tree just have your net out and when the wasps pop out your character automatically faces them and all you have to do is press B
To catch wasps easily just stand in front of the tree with your net and shake it. Your character will turn to face the wasps and you can just catch them immediately with the net
I like Katrina whitout hood :) A little Tipp about the Wesp take the Net before Shaking the Tree, stand in front of the Tree when Shaking, when a Wasp falls down the Screen zooms in and your Charakter has a Shock Face, when this is Over press A and you got the wesp! in New Leaf was that Difficult becaue you can't shake trees when you have someting in your Hand and your charakter will not aim on it in a Animation but Here ... pfff Peace of Cake and good for Bell's too when the Right Person is on the Island.

Me being obsessed and having almost every AC amibo card: I AM 3 PARALLEL UNIVERSES AHEAD OF YOU
It was Phil's birthday the other day, I had him working in the restaurant, but on his birthday he was at home on my island so the game swapped him out for Coco. Unfortunately they don't seem to put them back afterwards as Coco is still there and Phil is on the beach dancing in the sand.
A little detail when you have a villager in your house and you have a pipe in your house. Even if you hop in the pipe you will not be able to warp anywhere outside of your house
i did the 30 houses and had no idea there was more to unlock. thats super cool bc i didn’t want to stop playing lol.
DJ K.K. plays songs for you if you type them out in the crowd
I think my cafe update will be a group chill room with games, TV and a bathroom. Just a chill area.
Seeing Redd’s camper closed up on Harv’s island is a nice head’s up that he’s visiting your island (if you forgot to check).
Pro tip for shaking trees: ALWAYS shake the trees head-on. That way, when the wasps fall out, your character will turn to them and you can press A to swing your net. Also, if you catch five wasps in a row you get a miles achievement. Hope this helps!
Yooo I didn't know the pergola had a magical force field!
The upstairs exhibit in the HHP Cafe is a tie in with/ reference to the Roost upstairs in the main island museum. 😁
when shaking the trees ALWAYS have your net out -- ALWAYS shake the tree from the south/facing up toward the tree so if a wasp nest falls you will face it and just use your net -- easy as pie every time
How are you able to unlock that gallery/upstairs area in the Cafe?
Hold a net when shaking trees then bash the A button when wasps drop
Something strange that gets villagers away from your home is playing K.K. Dirge, turning off your lights, and doing the Haunt emote.
2:50 I have a wall in my house for fake artwork and I've fenced of a portion of my island for a statue exhibit.
If you place annoyed on the wall, then stand your character directly in front of it and tap a, your character will start jumping.
Just stand in front of the tree when you shake it with your net out and you can just spam a and catch them!
Once you do enough roommate homes Lottie asks you to add a private room as an upstairs to the restaurant.
Gallery in Cáfe
It's common practice for local coffee houses and cáfes to use local artist's work as decorations while also selling it.
The cafe/gallery is like a mini museum
I like Katrina whitout hood :)
A little Tipp about the Wesp take the Net before Shaking the Tree, stand in front of the Tree when Shaking, when a Wasp falls down the Screen zooms in and your Charakter has a Shock Face, when this is Over press A and you got the wesp!
in New Leaf was that Difficult becaue you can't shake trees when you have someting in your Hand and your charakter will not aim on it in a Animation but Here ... pfff Peace of Cake and good for Bell's too when the Right Person is on the Island.
Shake trees in the very front with your net out, if the wasps are in there spam the button and you’ll swing it as early as possible and catch them
Another easy way to catch wasps, is to equip your net when you're shaking trees, and spam A after the wasp nest falls!
In the upstairs café room, I made an arcade room! With a little couch and it's soooo cute, I also think it's more fitting than a gallery lol
I got a froggy chair from HHP
Another quick way to get a villager to leave your home is to sit down. When you stand, they will say it's time they get going.
