very good overview eric, and thanks for putting this on my radar. i know some people were giving you flak for putting this up late but to be honest i don't always keep up with gun news unless i'm specifically looking to buy something so i saw it here first. i'm glad that guns and gun accessories are becoming more and mainstream and accessible, the more people we can get shooting and defending themselves, the better.
I like that it does not hang out beyond the end of the barrel like some.
I picked up the Mini 1............... and the 2...... the 1 for home.... the 2 for tach/outside. Nice video! Looks like total fun!!!

I sport one of the original PL Valkyrie olights on my 6920 AR, it only has 400 lumen output, but hey it's perfect for room clearing. Really tough lights for the money. I'll be grabbing a couple during this flash sale !

I’ve had the first iteration of this light for about a year. It’s been flawless, bright and reliable. Runs about an hour of constant on, but for a quick scan every so often, it stays charged for months.

The biggest drawback to this is the non-replaceable rechargeable lithium battery. As that battery ages, it's going to be useless in three to four years and you'll have no way of replacing it. Forget cycle life, lithium batteries go bad with age, too.

Didnt think I would like this light honestly due to the USB charge. But it holds its charge well. I have since bout two more for other carry guns.
As an armchair physicist, I can appreciate good light. This one hasn't disappointed in 3 years on my hellcat
I bought 3. For VP9, Beretta 90 two, and Taraus PT111. All fit well. 😀👍 I think I need a few more.
Olight definitely has good products for a great price. Hopefully they don't get big headed and raise their prices like other companies.
I don’t think that’s going to happen. They sell so much volume they can have the prices a little lower I think. They are doing a great job with their lights, they really are. I was skeptical at first, but as I’ve used/abused them they seem to hold up great.

I run this light on my M&P Shield 9 .. using a Recovery Tactical Rail too.
The new polymer 80 subcompact frame as a rail on it. None of the Glock subcompacts do. I think that would be great on a P80SC.
It looks like od-green and not tan, It doesn't match the color of the G19X like I was hoping..
The PL Light 1 does match the 19x. This one is more OD Green.
I've the PL-Mini and am very happy with it. That being said, this new one looks to be even better! Thanks for the video!
Dingle Fritz Me too. Just ordered this new one too. I just pulled my Glock out of the glove box to recharge the mini that I bought 9 months ago. It’s been in the truck for 4 months and I figured I’d give it a recharge. It was green. No loss of charge in 4 months in the truck. This new one will be my 4th Olight.

Can you use batteries just in case you can’t charge or is it just chargeable
I got one for $63 on the day they released it. It’s on my glock 30 and fits nice in a sticky holster size LG-6S. This light is crazy bright in the house...so much so that I can’t see my night sights at all when it’s on. That’s only inside though, outside I can see fine. This also fits my brother’s Taurus G2C. It’s a little small on my Walther Q5 but the viper red dot I have mounted for now shows up just fine indoors with light on.
I have it and use to run it on my Canik Elite SC and it will fit the holster whether it’s pushed back to the trigger guard or flush to the muzzle. It’s a Slim Fit Holster. Best in the game!

I work at Bare Arms Custom Holsters in Ashland ,Ky as one of the builders. we get a lot of orders for the pl-2 mini on almost all the guns we build holsters for, and building a holster for them is actually pretty easy and they fit amazing and keep retention very well. I own one myself on my new Canik TP9 Elite SC and built a holster for it, and with this light it can carry both IWB and OWB very comfortably. if you ever want to try one of your carry guns with a custom holster molded for the pl-2 mini just give us a call and talk to brian or tommy and we can see what we can work out for you.
Waiting for a 300 lumen weapon light. A 3AM turn on and does not wash everything out. Heaven forbid you shine it into a mirror and really blind yourself. Settle for 600 for now but, would love to see a nightstand weapon light.

Correct I snap them off and on as I rotate pistols throughout the month, the FDE one looks really nice on the 2 tone mc9
Was researching a light I could use on multiple pistols and you popped up. Just ordered and it will arrive tomorrow. Will probably order a couple more, after this first arrives tomorrow. Does it last a full 60 mins at 600 lumens, or does it drop to lower lumens after a certain amount of time?

There's quite a few that make holsters compatible with olights in general, maybe not for the olight Pl-mini 2 seeing that its just now being released. A few make holsters were you can charge the light without removing the gun from the holster, LLOD and Tuxtontactical for example. I have the original olight pl-mini and can't find a level 2 or 3 OWB holster for it and its driving me crazy.
Considering it hasn't been released yet......

Ordered one the other day. Lost my Pursuit X1 Laser/Light combo. Cost me almost $200. Never used the laser anyways. So I thought hell why spend extra money when I don't even need the laser. My Valkyrie 2 is actually supposed to be delivered to my house today.

I like lights to stay at a constant output until dead.
It would be a pain in the ass if you had this on multiple guns. Running wires and crap all through your gunsafe. As a bedside gun maybe, but that's it.
The self diacharge is low on these. You could roll through your guns on a Saturday afternoon once a month and have all of your lights charged and ready at any moment.
After watching this i want to go buy a m&p 22 and an Olight
Just bought one of these. It fits my Canik TP9 Elite SC perfectly. It looks pretty cool too.
The problem with this light is that the damn thing falls to pieces (with the spring and everything) when you try to loosen it up to put on the pistol rail. Now, I can't figure out how to put the stupid thing back together. I wonder if there is a youtube on that.
edit: I figured it out. But it was a pain in the butt. However, I still like the light more than I like the Crimson Trace. It's more powerful, and it "can be" more easy to take off or put on IF you do not loosen it too much. If you loosen it too much, EVERYTHING falls apart, ...and you have to figure where EACH piece goes. If you put a piece in the wrong place, it doesn't work...That was my problem...Because, the pieces looked like they were supposed to be there, but they weren't supposed to be there...I had to switch them around until it was right. Oh, it has two springs. One is stiff and the other one is flexible. You need both.

that's the first thing I thought, I'd rather be around 250-400 lumens, that's not from critical experience, just from house practice, being blinded by your own light SUCKS :\ a little embarrassing too. other than that, I might look at one of these for my new edc. I like the fit and price, and yes, the looks! It's ok to like how something functional, looks :P
What kind of tree do you plug it into to recharge when yer out in the field or woods. I think I'll take the Streamlight TLR 7A with a few batteries in my pocket. 👍

Recover Tactical makes an adapter that will work on P365. Then you could put this light on there. I will be buying the one for the glock 26
yeah recover tactical way to go, avoid the bs with sig only items that cost 3x. I use RT for both light/mantis system works fine.

Wish I never would have bought mine. Bought it on the 26th, didn't ship till the 1st and took 5 days to get to louisville Kentucky from NJ and now its gonna sit in louisville for 2 to 3 days. What a joke

CZ = bottom range products. Even those 50 thousand dollar shadows and sports. Much better products out there

What are your guy's thoughts about the Police have had a few fatal incidents when they were meaning to turn on their flashlights, in the heat of a situation and pulled the trigger instead. Police do a great job, but under duress in a fight and accidentally shoot someone, not the bad guy, is reality. I think these producers of these lights should come up with a better system to prevent this?

Why would you have to put it on the charger daily, if you didn't use it? Doesn't that unnecessarily shorten the battery life; and defeat the purpose of having a low charge indicator light?

Damn o light must tell utubers to mass video their products. With that said it looks nice. But it will not fit my 365.
Edit also if the magnetic charger for the light is strong enough you could take it off and use for a stick light if needed.
A lot of time companies (not just Olight) will get a given product to us early so we can test it and put it through it’s paces and generally they will only want a video put up on a certain date, so when that release date hits a lot of people will upload their video I guess because they want to be “first”. It’s like that in pretty much every single industry.
Like that year we had the Glock 42 before anybody...we had it like a week before anybody else, but they still didn’t want a video to hit until a specified time because of the “release”

This light damaged the rail on my hellcat. It does not fit. I do not recommend for the hellcat.
