Has anybody ever try to get ahold of Hoover it's a damn joke I have a warranty claim they supposed to be sending me a new smartwash carpet cleaner three weeks now and heard nothing they had me cut out the cord take a picture of the serial number take it off the unit I'm starting to get angry
My scrubbers stopped rotated and I used this video to help take my machine apart. I did have to take the turbine apart and luckily I got it rotated. The location of the spring got me confused when I took it off, but this video straightened me out. Thanks again.
Any of the New Hoovers being made and sold these days are NOT worth fixing up if it's Very Expensive to do so!! That's why I LOVE the USA made Hoovers, most of them including the Concept One and Two were Almost Built Like Tanks!!!
A lot of work to switch out the motor. Have you seen the new Hoover auto wash?I bought one and it worked about 3 hours until the brushrolls stopped working. The machine cleaned very well for those 3 hours. I returned the cleaner. Thanks for posting such a detailed video!! Thanks
Can I replace the Fh50130 motor which is ydc43-4a 20160601 with a FH50135 motor which is ydc43-4a 440005773 motor?
My Hoover® Power Scrub Elite Carpet Cleaner does NOT dispense water after 3rd use. I have had it 3 weeks. I use it weekly. Last week, I noticed hardly any water coming out of clean water tank, so I just poured warm clean water onto carpet to clean it. The suction is great. However took forever to do it this way. This morning, I took the basics apart and checked everything (I am owner of HOOVER steam cleaner for over 20 years) Never had this problem in older models. Glad I kept my recent last model. Anyway, I have 1 week left before warranty expires. (3/21/21). Here is What I discovered, that is wrong--I think. The tank that holds clean water, on bottom, with valve button, works great. However the valve button on Steam Cleaner that the clean water tank seats onto, has no give, while pulling or holding onto trigger. It is like solid frozen. To me it seems it should do something, while I am pulling on trigger w/o the clean tank sitting there. What do you think? Brigitte in Tulsa Oklahoma
I have the base spin scrub 50. Works great for my needs haven’t had to tear into it yet but managed to get it for $90 from Home Depot when I bought my house. Got lucky and hit a sale.
I just purchased this unit a week ago. listed for 219.99 now. hoover gave me a 30% discount brought price down to 160.00 .. Anyway I am having an isssue with the float sucking up at half full tank and no suds doing it. Also its leaking out the bottom of the clean water tank a little. Hoover decided to have me cut the cord and they will send me a comparable model .. oh great lol
The powerscrub deluxe is an amazing cleaner but got I absolutely hate the hose pumps. The hose pump’s impeller on mine wore down for some reason. I attempted gorrila glue and plastic bonder and neither work. I will later try JB weld epoxy and it should hopefully work. I know people also have issues with those things breaking. Im 100% not paying 70 for a new pump, especially since its cheaply made and could wear again.
Mine leaks when i shut it off, Do you have experience with fixing leak?
Mine just started doing the same after only using my hose for the second time. I need a part, but Hoover says there parts aren't available.
Exactly what I was looking for to replace the power cord. thanks!
I love seeing the repairs. And thank you for showing the motor manufacturer. I am always interested in the brand of motor for various brands of vacuums.
I have a royal FR 50152 and I’m pulling the cover housing off and it’s hanging up on the switch foot switch which would be facing the vacuum right corner. If I’m behind the vacuum and vacuum it be the left corner it’s hung up there, but your purpose behind this is it started smelling like I was burning rubber. I thought it was a belt after watching your video looks like it’s a motor. So two things trying to get the casing off and where do I buy the motor
I have the Hoover Power Scrub Elite cleaner FH50250 and it leaks from the bottom on the right side, power is off and I am not using the trigger. So I do not know which part to look at. Would it be the flow switch or pump. I am working on my own machine and hopefully you can help.
You rock! Thank you for this great video. Everything was great. Even the google directions comment.
Thanks for this, I have the same model and it went out in the middle of a job but I was able to follow this and get it fixed in about an hour.
Got to love his comment about people calling asking for directions when the could just f_ckin' google it. LOL. An honest dude sharing his skillset.
I bought one of these and in the first 2 years (about 10-20 uses max) the brissles stopped spinning. What a piece of junk
Update: Even though I had lost my reciept, Hoover provided a one time courtesy and took very good care of me. Maybe this was just a freak thing.
What about no power at all? is it blown?
12:25 PM. My elite is not sucking the water out of the carpet. Can you help me?
Bring it to your local repair shop. Nothing I can do over the internet.
The spin Scrub Deluxe had two rows of spin scrub brushes and they redid it and made it cheaper they took away the second row
Could you do a dissasembly of the lg kompresser luv200r and motor replace
ua-cam.com/video/ta64uC6LEWQ/v-deo.html
@@PerformanceReviews thanks and the reason i need u to do a video or some advise is because i fix up vacs myself and i bought this cheap lg vacuum the kompressor and ot suction is very low and i think it could be the motor bc there is no blockages and idk if its the motor or something else so any advise ?
Earlier I watched a video of someone who bought the old style Hoover Steamvac back in 2017...and they were saying it was the end of an era...they are no longer in production... and I'm thinking... HUH? They still make basically the same thing...like you said... I think people need to be careful when using these not to jerk them because water can find it's way to the motor with a sudden jolt.
That thing looks cheap as ever junk
Please if you know exact hoover motor/ pump assy that your showing here please post so i can search and order this. Just in my experience using this same model is that to get good flow and dispersion with the solution or clean water rinse tanks is leave the fill caps on, but not tight on..crack them to let some air pressure help that cleaner and water flow better. Also..dont treat it like its a commercial grade and unstoppable. And dump your dirty water..then rinse tank and diaphragms good..reassemble wet and that will help secure a better suction from the start!! :-)
Lmfao😭😂😂. Honestly I was getting a bit turned off at so many hoover complaints because I have a hoover and I loveeee it so much! But once someone decided to come over while your working and when you said ** they can just fuk*""ing Google directions** you reminded me that I was actually getting annoyed at myself😂😂. Cause I'd be exactly you right now😂
Hey, I have worked on a couple of these myself. But I could really use a hand picking your brain on an issue I have with a brand new one.
I can't find any video on how to change the belt on a hoover dual power max with dual spin power brushes model FH51000
Love that you didn't edit out the F-bomb when commenting after the inbound phone call.
I am literally a former sailor and tend to curse like one when a repair project gets a bit wonky or a screw lodges in a fan shroud just as I'm buttoning up a unit & I gotta partially tear it down again to recover the screw, etc. So I appreciate the realness!
I know WAGO lever-style wire connectors (inline or otherwise) are likely to be a bit more expensive in the long run than the crimp ons, but I frankly love them for long-term reliability, small form factor & of course their inherent "quick release / re-use" design. I no longer use traditional wire nuts on any personal electrical projects, including small appliance / tool repairs such as the one in the video (which I've had to perform on my own Hoover Power Scrub FH50150).
I wondered if you've found WAGOs useful or considered utilizing them on various bench-top repairs like this one where the original harness & motor have no quick disconnect, wire nuts, or similar from the factory to more readily facilitate motor swaps?
Anyhow, great vid and sorry to hear you really kinda get ripped on a lot of those warranty repairs. Great technicians are underrated and underpaid, imho!
Cheers
Great video.
Thanks for sharing.

I have this same model. I accidentally misplaced the parts for the solution tank. I bought a new gasket since it was pouring water out. Does anyone know where or has images of how to assemble again?
do you have a used motor for the hoover fh50135?
No. ua-cam.com/video/ta64uC6LEWQ/v-deo.html
I'm going to dig into mine a little more. When the trigger is pulled no soap is distributed. Any thoughts
Hi I love your videos I like the repair videos I like to work at the vacuum store one day and also do you heard of these Hoover steamvacs before? there similar those power scrub elite
Everytime I put water in mine which is the same model it pours right out appreciate this walkthrough so I can take it apart
Hola buen día me puedes ayudar a conseguir un motor de estos para lavadora color azul es que el mío ya arrojó chispas ya se dañó y le lo puedes enviar a Tijuana no haces reparaciones en Tijuana
I have the Hoover FH50105, the brushes quit spinning. The bearing was frozen on the turbine. I got that fixed but, it seems the brushes only spin if the front pickup is in contact with the carpet. It seems it needs that reduction in suction to spin the turbine. Is that correct operation? Or do I still have a problem.
I wish they would have run the brushes by the motor and not vacuum. I was thinking of modding it by running the brushes by a heavy duty remote control car brushless motor. I would have to put a 12v DC transformer in it tapped of the 110AC...LOL
The spring fell off in my Hoover F5872 900 solution tank, how can I fix that, I have the valve stem and the spring, wondering what holds it on and is something missing that I dont know about, thanks
You need a new tank when that happens.
Thanks! Worked great for me.
That motor cartridge looks like a lampshade😂
So, fix it even though it might not be broken. Not cost-effective for the customer.
It was under factory warranty customer payed $0.00
Tienes algún número para poderte llamar gracias
My brushes are not turning & I checked with a 9mm Allen. It’s making a clicking noise. It’s only 5 months old . Should I contact customer service?
Yes call them and bring it into a warranty center
@@PerformanceReviews I called. They’re sending me the paperwork to return.
They’re telling me to cut cord & send photo. I didn’t mind taking to a service center. Maybe that could take too long???
How can I get in touch with you?
So helpful. Thank you
My Hoover carpet cleaner will not turn on. The plug in the wall is good. The switch doesn’t do anything when I step
On
It. HELP
What do you suggest to do if you were not careful and got the nozzle caught on the recovery tank latch? Thanks so much in advance.
hi where did you bought that hoover motor?
