Translation of the conversation between cop and boatman: the cop asks the boatman if he's heard of the ordinance ("t'es au courant de l'arrêté, chef?"). The boatman complains that there is no reason for the ordinance as the surf is small and no one is in danger. Cop then says any boat that has stayed in the channel past 12 o'clock will be cited. Boatman says 'what you're doing is disgusting'.

@@KoaRothman Code Red just means huge swell coming, so any nautical activity is prohibited. It's a bit dumb in your case, but that alert is to prevent people from dieing. As any wide-range law, it can be frustrating, but it's too save people.

Its so funny because in the Scotland and Ireland videos, Nate fits right in to the local scene there, even though he from Hawaii!
For me these videos are awesome because of the moments like at 3:08 where Koa uses the ankle strap of the leash to get wax off the bottom of the board, makes sense as a tool that’s right there but I’ve never thought about it. ✊✊

One thing I like is the analysis yall do on the size and frequency of waves and to a lesser degree your boards. I imagine high level surfers like yall are all like this, I don't think most laymen are. It appeals to my hidden nerdy side

The cops were saying that all of the boats out there will get ticketed, which is dumb because as the Aussie guy said, its his livlihood But the cops said he could contest it. I dont get why they are doing that to begin with??? Anyway, looks like you had fun. Thanks guys!

That's crazy how you talk about the coconut trees. I don't know for sure but I guess the tourism in Owahu is more than chopu, Liability with coconuts falling on tourist or howley. It's crazy I was in Barbados and we would give the locals are old baggies or trunks. And the locals would say do you want breakfast? They would climb the coconut tree barefoot bear hands get coconuts and run into the field and pick banannas, we would give Him ten american doalarms for breakfast and he said that's more than he makes in a month. It's crazy the little things that mean the most in life!!!
