  • The Limeskastell Pohl is a fascinating reconstructed Roman fortlet located in Pohl, Germany. This site is an authentic replica of a small Roman fort, complete with a watchtower, designed to give visitors a vivid impression of life on the Roman frontier around 100 AD12.
    The fortlet is part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site Upper Germanic-Rhaetian Limes, which marked the northern boundary of the Roman Empire2. The reconstruction includes various structures such as a contubernium (soldiers’ quarters), a basilica, and a watchtower, all built according to the latest archaeological research.
