- Just a video of the setup in my work truck and my views of this radio and all items that im using. Including chrome covers from gi joe electronics the antenna swr is between 1.5 and 2.0 stryker is suppost to send me a longer shaft but they are very hard to get ahold of even on email.

You did a good job making sure you kept the company you work for out of the video :) I work there also I have found over the uears macks are the best for an antenna like this. Glad you are running a radio I hope to run into you out there brother. Fluffy Bunny here fortx btw. its worth the wait to have a fine tuned stryker !!
Don't you mean a finely tuned Stryker? I'm pretty sure it's not a "fine tune Stryker"

I had my Stryker 447 set up with LMR ultra flex cable, with pl259 silver connectors, with Hank Breedlove ball mount and 259 stud he machines them himself... all hooked to a Predator 30k antenna if you don't mind a big fat stick of aluminum for an antenna. The radio was tuned my custom cb radios with the receive up grade. This set up is pretty bad ass I shot skip all the time especially when mother nature was doing her thing, but otherwise it would get out line of site 20+ miles. And the audio on these radios are just great cant say nothing bad about them.
As long as you know..Or maybe a bearcat speaker,if you ever find the older midland speakers used in cop cars work real nice n clear..Gotta luv the 955..Waiting on my 2nd from fine tune cb..
Yeah, like i said stryker said that that speaker would work great for there radio.. I already put on an" onoff switch on the speaker for high interference areas. Aka gas station lit up signs. But i tried to get ahold of fine tune cb. I have facebook. He messaged if i was still interested. I said yes. But i wish he would make it easier to contact him. Bc i still havnt heard from him.
How long ago..Seems he has been tryin to play catch up and discovered another inbox thats full of messages or something..What ever you do,,dont talk about saveing money or message the crap outta him..He wants to know your serious and not just asking questions...Took me months to finally chat with him..From what i read on truckers report and his youtube vids,its gonna be a hell of a radio when i get it..He is supposed to be one of THE best at the trade..Worth the wait..

Bit late on getting back..sorry..Works great..I would change the speaker though..Impedences on radio out put and speaker requirements are different..
Are you still using the A10 antenna ?? How do you like it after a few years? I need a good Mobil antenna for my F150.
I am no longer running a cb do to slip seating alot. Just got into another good tractor for the next 6 months. But have just been sticking to music lately
Are having success running that antenna behind the cab? I have the same antenna with a Stryker sr-447hpc2 radio. Running LTL linehaul. My SWR’s are still slightly off. 1.9 to 2.1 Just curious. Thanks
Michael Ruff yes, depending on truck, this truck was at 1.5 swr, i switched trucks and it jumped over 2.0 so stryker made me a custom rod extension for under the coil for free, now im down to .7-1.1swr
How SR-A10 is working? ... A friend of mine bought this he said "Got one of these few days ago, Easiest antenna I've ever had to setup. No whip cutting plug and play." Well I am planning to buy this antenna soon.

When my buddy left the other morning in his over the road V-Nose semi I heard him 7 miles away on one of these antennas and a Connex 33HD.
How far are you getting out on this setup bro?
Blade 20-25 miles but i talked to alot of base stations. Depends on terrain also. Sometimes it was only 3 miles. But flat area 17-25 miles

Does it not occur to anyone that this video is sideways? Use video software to turn it 90 degrees and then re-upload it. Hard to watch.
N2LRB sorry, im a truck driver, i did it on my phone and i dont have a computer. Plus i didnt edit anything shows how it sounds in real life and not fake audio. I was the first person to put a review up of a stryker sr-a10 antenna and thats why it got the views it got. But thanks for watching the video.

John doe ..Dude if you put 10 thou wayts through a stryker ant,it will go poof in no time..When was the last time you saw one at a key down?? Its basically strykers version of a wilson 2000/5000
Craig Noftall not saying ive ever seen a sra10 in a contest. But it is not like a wilson 2000 or 5000. Strykers smaller antennas are wilson copies but not the sra10. For me i chose this antenna over a predator for only 3 reasons. First was its $40 cheaper and id love to see a performance comparison between the two. Reason 2 enclosed coil. In pa and driving over here during winter i here snow/ice in a coil degrades signal and possibly how long the antenna would last. Reason 3 is i am not allowed to mirror mount on a work truck unless i take it off every day. And if you are spending all that money for 10,000 watts i hope ur not buying a $60 antenna. And even though a predator is good. If i had 10,000 watts im not sure how u would use it. id probably try to get something like a ham antenna i think its called a pirahna hiq antenna. Its the same type used on submarines . People have talked from arizona to italy on a hiq pirahna. There like $600.
Craig Noftall but i dont think he was saying he was putting down 10000 watts. Thats what they are rated at just like the wilsons are rated high and so are predator and monkey made. And im sure even cheap brownings have high watt ratings also.
chris reese i know your not sayin you put out 10k watts but it wouldnt come close to it..Doubt even 1000..A 10k has been compared to the 102 whip which is about the best out there untill you go ham..As for snow n such degradeing signal,a spritz of wd 40 helps with that..Im from eastern canada and drive long haul so i know snow and ice.A few taps on the ant whip and coil and all is good..Not dissing a stryker ant but its not remotely close to a 10k rateing..Wilson 2000-5000,k 40 are all same concept..Enclosed oil cooled ant,as soon as its seal is gone the ant is garbage..Predators are lite,totally rebuildable to.Again not dissing your choice just a lil of the info.
Craig Noftall there is no oil in a stryker sra10 and unlike wilson antennas this one the case can be removed if needed to clean or replace parts but i doubt stryker will sell you individual coil parts. The shaft and whip are stainless steel and interchangeable with wilson shaft and whip but stryker did me one more. They sent me a longer 18inch ss shaft to lower my swr to 1.1 i had to bend the whip but its nice and low that ss shaft is no longer available from wilson or other companies so it was nice that they made one specifically for me. The coil is copper with chrome plating which is what gives the high q rating. This is not a competition high watt antenna it is for high sound quality and it more than likely went through the same style of testing that wilson or k40 went through which is what gave the 10k watt rating true or not. I have seen higher ratings at flying j on the junk there . The sound quality i got from this antenna was better than a francis or cobra whip. And better than my buddies browning which was showing signs of rust and aluminum oxidation.

How did you get the mounting plate to slide out to put the cb bracket on? I have a Mack as well and can not get the plate out. Thanks!
The metal plate pops up on the front then it slides out. When you reinstall it you have to put it in the grooves push in and then once it is in it should go down some and be locked in place
@@reesechris76 Thanks, I have been looking at it and I thought the same as I just got a 2022 Mack Anthem, I will try that as I have a Connexx 3300 I would like to install. Thanks for answering. Hopefully I can get it to slide out. I will let you know.
How to make your antennas to light up on the truck
What do you mean? The antenna is made for that radio with that wattage. Swr are within spec so no reason the antenna would ever light up.
We're did you get that bottom plate were the cb is sitting on?
Mack trucks have a slide in plate that slides into the cb radio slot in the tractor.
If your talking about the chrome radio mount i bought that at the same radio place i got the chrome covers from.

Did fine tune tune your radio?
No. I left him a facebook message like he said in his videos but he never replied back. I am waiting for magnum to release the sx175 power cabinets again and then i will try again to have fine tune tune it. Right now it is tuned by dtb cb shop Owner is Dave in carlisle pa.
+chris reese oh I see cause I left him a message to but only been two days never heard anything, yeah I've heard about Dtb in Carlisle , not to far from me , I have a Stryker I just sent if off to NoName amps CB shop, I heard he does good work plus he builds amps and he won key down competitions, how do you like Dtb work so far??

+Nick Jones the magnum sx175 power cabinet is from the s9. Strykers radios like the 4 series strykers are magnum radios. I would not put anything from a general on a stryker radio. My radio when i talk on it maxed out is 80watts when i talk. Crisp, loud and clear. I like dtb cb shops work. He is known on forums to be one of the guys knowing how to tune a radio correctly and not to booger it up. If you find a power cabinet let me know. But i have heard fine tune on the radio while i was is carlisle. You must remember though that a base station antenna will be heard further. Panama is a friend of radioman in carlisle. He sits off of exit 52 on i81 in pa. And i have been in steelton and talked to him. Also once on 283east heading back to harrisburg. Panama uses a base station antenna on his rv. And obviously im on a stryker sr-a10.

Your antenna would work a whole lot better if you didn't have it shoved behind your truck that is a base load antenna and the base needs to be out in the open for best performance.
Its a company truck that is shared by others. We are not allowed to have antennas hanging off the truck unless we remove them every night. Never the less i was happy with the performance 25 mile range and i had proper swr.
That speaker is 4 ohms and the radio is rated for 8 @ ext speaker end...Not a big big deal but your over working the radios external speaker output..
I know its 4 ohms. I was in contact with stryker and they told me that speaker would be perfect. But i just ordered a 35w circuitboard with a volume knob and im going to wire it in so i can keep my radio volume low and speaker volume medium to hear far away.
I'll make you a longer shaft for free if you provide the 3/8" 304 stainless rod.
scot johnson stryker sent me one for free about a month after i contacted them back and fourth. Free of charge. They are good service.
You need an big amplifier, its mandatory for CB
The stryker 955 has a built in amplifier my cb tuned on a bench was at 80 watts
