Bittersweet moment for us... We really didn't want this trilogy to come to an end but WOW... What an ending it was, a perfect one (in our opinion, of course). We're gonna sit with this one for a looooong time, the "You think darkness is your ally" quote alone made the movie shine for us and resonate deeply on a spiritual level. Much love to all who are united here today in love for Christian Bale's Batman. He truly did accomplish what he set out to do, to make Batman an everlasting symbol of hope! - Gabi and Caley
Loved your reaction guys, i just wanted to say regarding heath ledger, many of the actors who worked with him spoke of how happy he was while portraying the joker in between scenes, whatever reasons for his death they say his devotion to the role was irrelevant, he unfortunately passed away halfway through filming another movie after the dark knight Wanted to mention as well when the screen narrows and sometimes is larger thats the movie switching between normal camera and imax camera Also when catwoman says to batman 'youve given them everything' and he replies 'not everything, not yet' i believe hes referring to giving his life at that point as thats exactly what he was prepared to do One of my favourite moments is when batman saves the police officers in the street by destroying the tanks before they could fire on them was an profound moment as the police officers finally see him as the hero he truly is after years of seeing him as the villain
This movie has something the others 2 don't have too much, the rollercoaster of emotions! Is a very deep movie, so deep that most of people just wanted an action movie and didn't gave her the real appreciation.
Just wanted to say I don't usually like to sit through intros, but I'm glad I listened. You two have insight into the crazy social problems online. Keep doing what you're doing, remember "haters are just confused fans," and thanks for the reaction.
This movie gets alot of critical negativity. But in my opinion it completes a brilliant Batman trilogy from Chris Nolan. Fitting end scene. Bruce is living it up with Selena Kyle. "Robin" takes over the responsiblity of protecting Gotham City.
The line “Peace has cost you your strength. Victory has defeated you” goes unnoticed in EVERY reaction I’ve seen. Love that you pay attention to these fine details of dialogue.
Also what goes unnoticed is when Bane says during the first fight you fight like a younger man with nothing held back, the second fight it was Bane who did that when his mask broke. Victory also defeated him.
This is possibly Christopher Nolan’s most underrated film. When it came out it was endlessly compared to The Dark Knight, Bane outshined the film and quickly became a meme. These days it’s getting more credit as a great film.
I can truly say that the DKR was the true key crescendo for a finale to a trilogy. It brought a lot of emotion to light for Bruce and the pain after losing Rachel and having to kill Harvey to preserve the life of justice for another out of pure selflessness, consciously knowing that he did what he could.
Agreed. I don't think any Nolan film is perfect, but Heath Ledger's performance elevates The Dark Knight so people overlook how convoluted the plot is. I'm not overly faulting it for that--nearly all action/superhero/sci fi movies of this century have convoluted plots--but I think TDK and TDKR are each better as companion films. One explores the darkness of human nature, and the other explores hope. Just because TDK is dark and the Joker is compelling, doesn't mean it's more profound. I love the themes that these guys teased out of the film--it makes me appreciate it even more.
The weakest of the trilogy to be sure but that's not much of a condemnation. All trilogies must logically have a weakest entry, even Lord of the Rings and Star Wars. This one labored under the curse of being a follow-up to a legend and having to adapt to the death of Heath Ledger, resulting in trying to condense the massive Knightfall and No Man's Land comic book arcs into 2.5 hours.
I think The Dark Knight Rises has always been an amazing film. IMO the only reason it wasn’t talked about as such at the time was because of the Aurora shooting. It really took away a lot of the films momentum and understandably so
Bruce’s last comment to Jim Gordon at the end “A hero can be anyone. Even a man doing something as simple and reassuring as putting a coat around a young boy’s shoulders to let him know that the world hadn’t ended” gets me EVERY TIME.
That's what I'm saying right now like The Dark Knight trilogy is the closest adaptation to Batman in the real world there is no other comparison every other Batman film that's been in round is very comic related Christopher Nolan gave us the benefit of Batman in the real world to deal with real-world problems and real-world scenarios I absolutely agree with you 100% And also another notion of my Man of Steel which is another Christopher Nolan movie Superman in the real world absolutely accurate and true to the notion of a real world real life film scenario Man of Steel still does not get the credit it deserves absolutely not and I think that is one of the best Nolan films
Showing that someone like Batman has a hero, which might seem like just a regular person, is so powerful. And the reason Gordon is Batman's hero is not because of his physical strength or abilities, but his kindness and courage. The quote "A hero can be anyone. Even a man doing something as simple and reassuring as putting a coat around a young boy’s shoulders to let him know the world hadn’t ended.' summarizes the whole essence of Batman, imo. Also shows why, even without super powers, he is pretty much at the same level of other heroes... A hero can be anyone.
We know that Batman’s cape can be folded away like in Hong Kong in the Dark Knight, but maybe Batman still wear a cape down because it reminds him of the coat Gordon put on his shoulder as a child

Absolutely incredible movie and reaction by you both. The raw emotion you feel by immersing yourself in movies is commendable. The detail in your reactions is soo insightful and profound, really showing the appreciation to a movies art. My favourite reactors out there.
To answer your question about the purpose of Bane's mask, for this movie's interpretation of Bane, the mask provides a type of anesthetic that keeps the pain from Bane's facial trauma from his injuries from the prison inmates at bay. This, in theory, would enable him to push himself stronger and harder.just my opinion. Hope this helps
I always appreciated Nolan didn't go for the classic comic book/animated series interpretation of Bane with his Venom usage, this one feels more grounded
I don’t think I’ve seen anyone get emotional over Bruce rising from the hole but your reaction to it pretty much altered mine. I’m always so raring to see the action and chaos when it comes to Nolan’s trilogy that I’ve never really sat and thought about the meaning behind certain moments in the film. Ah. This trilogy is just so good. So many full circles, great lines, wonderful music choices. People quote these movies like proverbs, I think you'll find yourself catching quotes from these movies now that you've seen them.
Absolutely top notch reaction to this film and the trilogy....one of my best experiences watching any reactor for any film....I smiled sp hard watching u both throughout this
One of his worst movies. Memento is up there for me. Nolan's hit or miss. I haven't cared much for his last handful of films: Tenet, Interstellar, Dunkirk, and Oppenheimer were all mid.
@@TheEnnisfan u literally named half of his films that were both critical and audience masterpieces.. my faves are I terstellar and inception personally.. tenet was just meh for me
Thats why Nolan is slowly becoming top 5 directors of all time! People just cannot appriciate something so current as 2012 movie, you need decades to relize true genius of a man... to end with brilliantly fitting qoute form Voltaire - "Every man is a creature of the age in which he lives and few are able to raise themselves above the ideas of the time."
This is one of my absolute favourite movie ever made. Everything about it makes it great. Im surprised it hasn't got the recognition it deserves. I've seen it like 20 times and still gets tear eyed every time I watch it.
Although the Dark Knight tends to get all the plaudits, this film is more spiritual and affecting on a deeper level. A superb conclusion to the trilogy. All 3 films have their own merits for different reasons. Great reactions from the pair of you.

Love y’all reactions Christopher Nolan did a really good job on the Batman trilogy Christian Bale was amazing said that we won’t see her in another Superhero films
forget about all those lower value comments, the best part of this channel is both of your commentary and reviews of what you watch. Anyone with two cents can tell both of you are obviously educated and intellectual! my favorite part of your reactions are the well thought, intriguing, symbolic, psychological points youre able get from each movie you watch. Movies are forms of art and the most beautiful thing about art is that it can mean something completely different to every person who observes it!! Love your reactions, and definitely considering checking out the mentally gone podcast!! please keep the great content coming!! thank you both for insights!!
MY dude. Ive watched 5 or 6 reactions now and totally understand your emotional attachments to some of these scenes about Rising Up, Hope, Doing the Right Thing, Good Vs Evil. You really really attach yourself and understand so NATURALLY all of these Godly principles. Following God sets an example to the people around you rising them up, Hope when things are dark is always God, just like its always batman in these movies. Love your reactions man. i wish my beautiful girl would hop on cam and react with me!!
True! But I would defend Batman saying it in this situation, as he’s taunting bane with his own words, his own quote from earlier in the movie, bane says it too him in the pit, it’s not literal, he’s intimidating Bane and letting him know “I’m back, and you failed”
I know The Dark Knight is the best in the trilogy... maybe. But The Dark Knight Rises is my favorite. The severity of the situation, Bane's brutality, the twist (that was so obvious is if you were fan of the Batman comic books), the full-circle back to Ra's al-Ghul and Batman Begins. Honestly, sometimes I think this one is best in the trilogy, even if it's not a popular opinion. But I loved that what you were enjoying throughout the movie, were things I really enjoyed. The things that caused me goosebumps, or caused tears to well-up in my eyes.
People really love the fantasy of Batman but don't understand the turmoil and pain he endured that made him who he was. The Dark Knight Rises was the full circle. It all comes back to the League of Shadows. Loved this MOVIE.
It's the most genuine reaction I've seen in a long time! There are lots of UA-camrs doing "first time watching" reactions and you can tell most of them are liars! i like you guys so much!
DUDE I came for the reaction but I'm amazed right now at what you said in the ending analysis. "Every religon has it's way of being right" this is my entire life law. I believe every single culture and "religon", has a different but valid way of interpretation and understanding spirituality. There are major similarities between Egyptian and South American culture for example. West African and Scandinavian. Also major similarities between Egyptian and Catholicism believe it or not. It's unexplainable based on the way we're taught and learn. It feels like the search for spiritually and lessons from it, have been globally repressed and are lessening rather than growing stronger. If we all looked back and put the complete global puzzles of the past together, rather than one secluded culture and religon at a time, we'd find answers. You're awesome bro. Remember you aren't alone in the way you think, I just found that out for myself. 👍
This too is my favorite of the three. Not to undermine what Heath Ledger did as the joker, but the way the Batman comes back and then the way it all concludes, is as you said, perfect.
Great finale. One thing I didn't notice on the first watch is the parallels with Bane and Batman's masks. They both use them to hold pain at bay, and Bane has become permanently addicted to his, having no other identity than his mask while Bruce struggles to let go of the identity of Batman and live a normal life. Both are running off outdated ideas, but Bruce is able to adapt his and trust other people to help him win the war for Gotham instead of doing everything himself as usual, and for once is willing to act in the daylight instead of hiding the truth in the darkness of the night.
For those of you who appreciate movie scores; my personal favorite piece of this film is ''Imagine the Fire''. Might just be my favorite piece of any movie ever. So so good
A clue a lot of people miss on first viewing is that Bane outright tells Batman he didn't see the light until he was a grown man. So he couldn't be the child who escaped.
I have never seen any reactor(or for that matter anyone I've talked to who has seen the film) both grasp the deep philosophical implications in the film(s) and at the same time appreciate said implications and understand them in full detail. Y'all are hella under-appreciated, thank you for the insight
Enjoyed the video also keep on the path of growth and to continue to see things for what they are Growth is very apparent in how you both are on this video
Sucker for good reaction vids and gotta say I love your take on them with how you go so in depth after the movies into meanings and such. It's refreshing to say the least and glad to see such a reaction from you both in enjoying this trilogy
One of the best Trilogies !! If you already didnt know, Tom Hardy is the actor of Bane. He bulked up for this role and played a masterpiece in this movie. Awesome reaction. :)
Love the reaction! If you guys are up for more Nolan films and haven't watched them already, I highly recommend Interstellar (personal favourite and very emotional), Inception and Memento. Alternatively, would love to see you react to Inglourious Basterds by Quentin Tarantino. In my (unpopular) opinion it's his best film and you'll see why! Not a single frame of this film is boring.
The second one is often see as the best, thanks to many actors performance. I agreed. But the more i'm seeing the third one, the more i tend to make it first on the list. So many things inside on top of a perfect conclusion. Also, it's great that you're taking a lot of time to debrief, and that you're letting your emotions show, very safe space in your couple. Probably one of my favorite reaction channels!
Can't wait for your reactions to Nolan's other cinematic marvels: The Prestige, Inception and Momento! Also, I'm all in for your Lord of the Rings reactions!

A GROWN MAN WITH TWO DAUGHTERS...CRYING FOR A MOVIE... ( AND I STIL DO EVERY TIME I WATCH THIS MOVIES)
Great reaction! So cool to see TDKR getting more praise these days, it's a very underrated film imo. It has problems, but is still a great and emotional conclusion to the trilogy. Probably the most emotional Batman film.
Tom Hardy and Anne Hathaway stole the show, both of their characters were so good. So many amazing lines throughout the film, especially from those two. I particularly love Bane as a villain. Someone like the Joker I think you can kind of understand, he's a madman that 'just wants to watch the world burn', you aren't supposed to be able to empathise with him. On the other hand, Bane is calm, logical, intelligent, trusted, even appreciates the child singing the anthem. A villain that you can identify with and seems to share your values in so many ways is that much more chilling when their morals turn out so polar opposite of the viewers.
Hello from Lawrence KS, I like it that you both take notes and then just go over them in the end instead of constantly stopping the movies. Also, this is likely known to you now but just in case, Selena Kyle is Catwoman; an old rival and lover of Batman from the comics and cartoons. Anne Hathaway plays a great Catwoman, she is my number two, right next to Michelle Pheifer from the 90’s series with Michael Keaton and Tim Burton. Ciao for now.

One of his worst movies. Memento is up there for me. Nolan's hit or miss. I haven't cared much for his last handful of films: Tenet, Interstellar, Dunkirk, and Oppenheimer were all mid.
@@TheEnnisfan u literally named half of his films that were both critical and audience masterpieces.. my faves are I terstellar and inception personally.. tenet was just meh for me
Tenet was ass. Inception is good. @@ultimatesunrise
your intelligence in these films (ive only seen this video) but how you analyse it is amazing
You must be Christian how you speak its beautiful, if not you know theology well
I busted up laughing when you called the mole on her forehead a Buddha thing…😂😂😅 like what?
Alfred crying over Bruces grave will make me cry every single mf time no matter how many times i watch this
She told him not to cry but she literally did🥺🥺
''and she got a third eye thing, like a budha thing'' Marion Cotillard listening to you with a tear in her eye haha !
😂
absolutely loved all of your reactions to the entire trilogy!
The chant is "Deshi Basara", which means "Rise up" per Hans Zimmer, the film composer.
man’s taking every little thing as metaphor or meaning and starts crying😂
Thats why Nolan is slowly becoming top 5 directors of all time! People just cannot appriciate something so current as 2012 movie, you need decades to relize true genius of a man...
to end with brilliantly fitting qoute form Voltaire
- "Every man is a creature of the age in which he lives and few are able to raise themselves above the ideas of the time."
That was absolutely beautiful. Amazing of you.
Dark knight rises is one of the best movies ever imo, CHRISTOPHER NOLAN IS THE BEST!!
Cat woman is actually very popular, im surprised you didn't recognize the character
Perfect ending. And the little detail at the end with Alfred putting his card back in his wallet because he knew Bruce paid his tab already
Alfred apologizing to the graves of Bruce’s parents still wrecks me.
This is one of my absolute favourite movie ever made. Everything about it makes it great. Im surprised it hasn't got the recognition it deserves. I've seen it like 20 times and still gets tear eyed every time I watch it.
Y'all are fr one of the best reaction channels love y'all keep going 💯
Although the Dark Knight tends to get all the plaudits, this film is more spiritual and affecting on a deeper level. A superb conclusion to the trilogy. All 3 films have their own merits for different reasons. Great reactions from the pair of you.
I love that it’s never explicitly mentioned Anne’s character is cat woman and hearing them describe her as a “female Bruce Wayne” was funny 😂
It's really not necessary to say she's Catwoman
@@teslawolverine7009At least they could've have recognised her. A mean so much stupidity in their head is not really there. They were so many hints that Anne was Catwoman.
It’s killing me that they always said she’s a cat lady LOL
Bro, people only see your relationship from the outside in. Don't worry about those people. You seem to have a very open and honest relationship. THAT is something to aspire to. Keep going yall!💯
55:24 he had a reservation at Dorsia
He had to return some video tapes
Thanks for sharing you spiritual awakening. Super cool. And this movie is amazing, and has great messages in it
1:22:28 You know this man reads book and gathers knowledge. The Stepwell was also indian inspired
Robert pattinson is a worthy successor to bales batman
Hopefully you guys watch the batman
Bale is 💙🗿 >>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Rp Batman is weak 🤣 reddit
No shot you called Talia's mole a third eye 🤣
One of the best movie endings ever
“And then you have my permission to die” is one of the hardest lines in movie history but its something that Batman would NEVER say lmaoo
"Every religon has it's way of being right"
this is my entire life law.
59:37 - that moment also came full circle, because as you may remember in Batman Begins Bruce was taught how to walk on thin ice by Ras Al Ghul.
Bruce Wayne said the point of Batman, from the beginning, was to be a symbol. That it doesn't matter who is behind the mask it could be anyone.
I still remember how I felt with this movie's ending the night I watched it at the theater. I agree with you, it was perfect.
For those of you who appreciate movie scores; my personal favorite piece of this film is ''Imagine the Fire''. Might just be my favorite piece of any movie ever. So so good
try the Interstaller one
@@Ri9eInterstellar is also incredible. Zimmer rules
A clue a lot of people miss on first viewing is that Bane outright tells Batman he didn't see the light until he was a grown man. So he couldn't be the child who escaped.
I js noticed that
Great reaction guys now it's time to react to the batman 🔥
Damnit i just finished eating my snacks 🤦♂️. Ive been checking everyday to see if you had uplaoded yet
Dang you guys give awesome reactions!! Well done
Dont listen to negativity...you are already better than many folks out there. KEEP DOING WHAT YOU DOING! ❤
The dark knight rises best ending to a trilogy 🔥🔥🥹💯💯
I have never seen any reactor(or for that matter anyone I've talked to who has seen the film) both grasp the deep philosophical implications in the film(s) and at the same time appreciate said implications and understand them in full detail. Y'all are hella under-appreciated, thank you for the insight
My man explained Kaliyug perfectly.
Love that you are finding meaning of life through Ashtang Yog.
Love from India.❤
Your reaction was spot on and beautiful brother! I teared up with you man!
This and the LotR ending gets me every time..
Enjoyed the video also keep on the path of growth and to continue to see things for what they are
Growth is very apparent in how you both are on this video
Cat Woman is my fav “villain” 💕
Great reaction guys.
If you guys want to see Bruce & Alfred in Nolan's movie again, put "The Prestige" in your list. A great movie too.
100% Plus most of this cast stars in Inception.
I'm with you it's my favorite too, what a great ending!
Can't wait for your reactions to Nolan's other cinematic marvels: The Prestige, Inception and Momento! Also, I'm all in for your Lord of the Rings reactions!
You don t recognize Catwoman ?!??!?😂😂😂😂😂
all the trilogy is perfect ❤
You guys are a great reaction combo. Really enjoyed thx ❤.
IMAGINE WATCHING THIS IN THE MOVIE THEARER, I WAS FORTUNATE ENOUGH TO WATCH EVERY BATMAN IN THE THEATER, ANDTHAT SCENE BATMAN FLYING TBE BOMB AWAY FROM THE CITY, YOU COULD JUST HEAR THE CRIES AND SNOBS OF PPL I WAS CRYING MYSELF... A GROWN MAN WITH TWO DAUGHTERS...CRYING FOR A MOVIE... ( AND I STIL DO EVERY TIME I WATCH THIS MOVIES)
Watching emotional reaction to climbing out got me worried for end of movie lol. Might be a blubbering man with ya in few minutes lol
They are chanting Rise. As in Dark Knight Rises. Beautiful chant.
Amazing film and great reaction, with profound thoughts at the review section. Subscribed!
