This is awesome Robb. You’re getting really good at this. Pity about the copyright bullshit. But totally support your channel - it’s got a great personal touch to it. And for anyone following your channel as zealously as myself, it feels like we have all got to know you a bit better as a person (flaws and all). You’re a good guy and I respect you for it.
Wow didnt know Chris was from Lexington ky, i live rt down 64 in small town on ohio and WV lines in Ashland Ky.. Go to Lexington all the time. Thats where our beloved Wildcats call home. Glad to know this now. Chris is a badass. FFDP kicks ass
Stone monkey was my teenage hangout. Zakk wylde was first i seen at Stone Monkey. Damn i saw lots of my hero bands there. Every weekend that bar was happening place. The memories my god. I live just across river from huntington in Ashland ky. Won ozzfest tickets 20yrs ago at stone monkey. Non point was there that night. Wow
Great podcast. I too loved the Rob Halford book. And I agree it's not for the faint of heart. Chris's story is very inspirational. He seems like such a down to earth guy.
Another Fire episode! Chris’ story is so fukn cool, sux about all you went thru with the break-up and all this LockdowN BS, but like Robb said, serious discipline/strength, glad you made it out the other end! #WESLEY!!!!! 😂😭 (Snipes)
You didn’t miss much, the dudes pretty arrogant the entire time. Makes Robbs humility level look like Mother Theresa. He’s pretty cringy, I mean who wears fashion sunglasses indoors for a PODCAST. Plus every other story was about him him him.
@@Machinedead lol 😂 my bad - went a little too honest on that one. Anyway, keep it up Rob you’re literally killing the MetalPod world! See if you can score Tosin Abasi! I’m sure he’d love to be on. Or one of the guys from Meshuggah. If you did I’m sure it’d be your highest viewed Pod.
You can be friends without necessarily liking each others music. Kerry King is good friends with Tobias Forge from Ghost but has openly said he’s not really into their music.
@@Grimeyhoob but he is. Kerry is notorious for liking shit he openly discusses he hates. Case in point is (God hates us all) - Kerry talked shit about New Metal and or groovier tempos, however he goes and writes a groovy new metal album.
@@ChappySinclaire I don’t think so. This guy is awesome for the way he has got out of his addictions - which is inspiring. And for being so loyal to the fans, I mean the guy is hand delivering orders to fans. That’s amazing. So regardless of the fact that I don’t like 5 fingers music at all, I respect them for their dedication to their fans.
@@illuddivinus3309 Kerry King loves Halestorm and was the one who introduced Robb to them. So you know the guys got diverse tastes. Also he did that song with Sum41 back in the day.
Same thing happened to me...Jan 2020 Mom passed away, broke up with Girlfriend and then suddenly i was sitting all alone in my apartment for over a year...hahaha..Weird, i think its some "energy" that is common nowadays...
I feel like the break up story was to target his young audience to market the band. saying he's not real, and doesn't have real feelings. I just doubt he'd say something like that on this podcast. Am I paranoid and reading that wrong?
i emailed the email address for the podcast, that you gave, but i must've been writing it wrong, cuz i got a failure notice 2 times, i tried a 3rd time, is this the correct way to write it: nofnregretspodcast@gmail.com if not, please give the correct way to write it, thanks!
Not a Machine Head fan at all but Robb is doing a pretty damn good job with his podcast. I have to ask though, why is every single guest "the mighty...... MIGHTY"? Come on now. Switch it up a bit. Shit is redundant.
I like that he’s got a trademark. You need some unique catch pharases which are your own and that are associated with you. Learn a thing about performance and making a show memorable.
@@Grimeyhoob Hahaha! I know far more than a thing or two about performance and making a show memorable, thank you. He's far from the first person to call guests "mighty". That's about as original as every single band that welcomes a guest artist to the stage by saying "Please welcome... Mister "insert name". Or "Ladies and gentlemen....Mister "insert name". Bland, cliche and boring.

Just listened to his interview on Doc Coyles podcast from a while back. Seems like a cool guy, this should be good.

Hey Robb where are previous episodes of your podcast?

Loved this interview. You gotta get corpsegrinder, M shadows

What is the song he plays at 17.10
Lost interest 30sec in
How was playing in FFDP not the low point in his life?
Well, seeing as it's currently one of the biggest bands in the world... what do you think?
Well he did miss the first two (good) albums. That is a low point ;)
