    Hot damn, lol! I just stored my hard top and dropped my soft top on my LJ today. Indianapolis finally had 80-ish degree weather. Installed a new stereo, replaced the center sub in the console, bought new tires and rims (rides sooo much better now), and strapped my corgi into the back seat for a long cruise, LOL! It was glorious brother.

      blurglide, ohhhh I just went with Quadratec’s replacement one. Crazy thing, with my new head unit, even the top off, after I adjusted everything and fine tuned the speakers from the new head unit... it all sounds great! Like crystal clear. It was glorious.

      @@JarradShaw Hmmm...that'd be the easiest solution. I hear some people modify it with a waterproof Kicker 8" though, which is about the same price, but a little tricky. I was also tempted to try this thing out... www.amazon.com/dp/B019Z3RFGY/?coliid=I1XSCSV2W05X64&colid=JTEQOFOJM2NH&psc=1&ref_=lv_ov_lig_dp_it

    Yeah, that 4.0 is a beast. My 2.5 L takes like 10 seconds to reach 60 mph. However I do get 17-18 mpg while going stock on 235/75R15 Bfgs KO. Getting the KO2s put on tomorrow.

    Can't believe that car at the beginning at the stop sign almost pulled out in front of you when you were there first and they should have waited for you. Apparently there are just as bad drivers there as there are here, but most of our issues come from people in Mass that move up to here even though there are a fair share of people who just don't know how to drive

    I’m a 16 y/o girl and my first car is a 97’ Wrangler, so i’m learning on stick. It’s lifted 3 inches and has slightly larger tires than factory. The previous owners had managed to mess up pretty much everything they had done to it. I’ve noticed that if you hit a bump, the jeep will pretty much drive itself into the oncoming lane or even close to off the road. I know they can be squirrely because of the short wheel base, but I mean the way mine just drives itself and is so hard to correct just doesn’t seem right to me or my dad. Because I have no experience with any other jeeps because this is my first vehicle, is this normal or has this happened to anyone else? My dad had already checked steering linkages, but we’re sending it in for an alignment check. Any feedback would be nice!

    • @KyleSVT
      @KyleSVT  4 роки тому

      Yea that should not happen. Sounds like your have some bad bump steer. Usually its from a bad alignment. Here is what I found on extreme terrain on the possible cause of your problem "Bump steer is typically caused by one of two things, lifting your Wrangler incorrectly or loose, broken, or bent suspension components. Improperly lifting your Wrangler doesn’t just mean installing something wrong, it mainly refers to the angles of your steering and suspension components. The angles that matter in this situation are the angles of your track bar and drag link, on a stock Wrangler, these two will be parallel to each other. When you add a lift kit to your Wrangler, you are changing the geometry of your Wrangler’s suspension and you need to adjust your steering components to keep your angles in check. To return these angles to the correct setting you may need a new bracket and or an adjustable version of the component that is not at the correct angle."

      KyleSVT Thank you!! That’s what i’m saying the previous owners really messed up everything they had done to the jeep, i’m assuming that includes the lift and all. we’ve been dropping thousands to fix things, and I spooked myself driving it because it was doing that. I don’t want to be scared of it, but I didn’t know if that was a jeep thing or if something was off.

      I’ve been driving a Jeep of one sort or another since 1986… I’ve had my current 2006 TJ since new, and I’ve never had a problem like that… I have a 2 inch OME suspension lift, with slightly larger tires, but everything else is stock… The vehicle should still drive perfectly, as mine does, so it sounds like the steering geometry and/or lift has messed up something… Take it into someone who specializes in Jeep suspension, to see what’s going on…
