+DerbJd Definitely an "I'd do it in my car/truck/whatever, but not in someone else's if they're riding shotgun" sort of trail. Mr. Regular is cautious with other people's vehicles. I'd probably do it in my old Volvo if I was dared to, though.
Mr. Regular would be the kind of guy who starts yarning about some trivial history of any certain place he's familiar with when a stranger asks for directions.
+Alberto Gamez Absolutely not, My bronco see's worse than that every day on the dirt road to my shop and I'm never out of 2wd. Only time 4hi or 4low is necessary is when climbing something really rough and steep in the dirt, or maybe when its a lot of mud, usually though its never needed.
+Alberto Gamez Well here in PA the type of dirt, silt, and mine rock that's in these old mining towns is really slick and the GoPro distorts a lot of it. When I come back from my rides in the silts and the hill climbs the camera makes it look like it was nothing.
What always struck me when driving the TJ was how truck-like that AMC engine was. That thing would pick up and crawl at like 600~700rpm with no complaints, and the torque was so bottom-rich that you'd never have to pass 2000rpm when accelerating in a city. Gives nothing but noise past 4000 though.
My dad just bought a 99' Wrangler SE with a 5 speed. It's our first Jeep and he bought it to pull behind our motorhome and as a spare vehicle. It's just a 4 cylinder sadly but the manual transmission makes up for it and it's a lot of fun, I love driving it with the top down and the doors off!!!. Now I want one because of my dad's! But I want a dark green Sahara with a manual, air conditioning and cruise control up to 2002. Wish me luck!!!
I love how every jeep TJ steering wheel leans to the passenger right a little but still drive straight. Drives me crazy on every jeep I've owned they have all done this.
Yeah, those people they talked to briefly were in a VW of some kind and had no issues. To be fair, though, it was Regular's first time driving a Jeep, so I can see why he wanted to take it easy.
It is strange to put Centralia PA into google maps. In map view you see a set of streets and cross streets like you might find in any small town. But when you switch to satellite view, you can see that the government tore all of the houses and buildings down after they relocated everyone. There are now only a handful of buildings left.
Sounds like it's the wheel hitting something not the tire. Had the same noise when I took my Moab wheels off and threw some regular steel wheels on my Jeep.
+john stipich He does reviews on cars that people in the area have. If they don't volunteer their car to be reviewed, there can be no review. So he'd have to find someone with a '76 280z willing to let it be reviewed. Usually, the people find him. At least, I'm pretty sure that's how it works. He might check around to see what interesting cars people have, but they still have to be OK with it.
I've complained forever that Chrysler products are junk, but the Jeep TJ is one that I would own. Weren't the ones out of the early 90's still mostly an AMC design?
"I'm not gonna take that, that looks rough" To be fair, many sketchy trails I've taken look unassuming on video. That GoPro really doesn't do it justice.
Hey, if you ever come down to Nebraska, I have a 1995 Cadillac DeVille Concours I want you to review. I think you would have some hilarious things to say about my car. Thanks!
littlearsehole75 I at least live in PA, but pretty far off. From the sounds of it, it's almost like our version of Chernobyl in a way, although a lot less so. Looks from this video like it's almost all just a cool offroader's or gravel-roader's paradise and mostly grown up, though. Makes me want to go there even more!
After watching the review on this Jeep, I decided to go on Kijiji (Canadian Craigslist [But better]) and dang! They really do have a great resale value! Even the beat to heck ones that have panels falling off are 3k! I bet Jeeps are great but are they THAT great (the older Jeeps I mean)???
+Canadian Carguy247 If you ACTUALLY want to go offroading and use it then yea they are great for that, for a daily though they are a bad idea and not that great.
+Canadian Carguy247 it's the same thing with all of the old-fashioned offroaders that haven't changed too much since they were introduced. It's exactly the same with the Land Rover Defender and Mercedes G-Class.
+Jesse Sammons I know they are a spectacular off-road vehicle especially if you dump some money into them. I just always think of a cheaper option like a 4Runner for example, cheaper than a Jeep, a lot easier to daily, and great off-road with or without mods. I know that Jeeps have story behind them and great character but i don't think I would want to buy one, just for there price. Just my opinion though, I know there are die hard Jeep fans, and all the right to them, I just don't think I could get used to the Jeep lifestyle.
+Matthias Schmitt That's a good point come to think about it, They really haven't changed much as a whole. I bet they are great machines once you get to off-road them but me personally I would go with a more affordable option if I were to daily and off-road it.
Not that there's anything wrong with TJ's. I just prefer simple, indestructable, dead reliable, military based CJ's. Not the most luxurious but they'll take you anywhere in the world you want to go and get you back home every single time.
+Venomous villain Yeah people really underestimate how loyal and reliable CJ's are. They're like the best dog one can imagine. the worst is that people often now classify jeeps as just willy's and wranglers. I have a hard time holding back every time some college douche goes "nice wrangler, bro"
+Tommy Long It's almost as bad here, people don't even know about anything other than tj and jk. All we have are hipsters with body lifts and auto transmissions With Flo-Grown stickers. Then all old jeeps to them are like you said willy's, not cj-5 or cj-2a. I wanna cry now
I literally joked with my best friend about an hour before I saw this video "yeah, Regular car reviews guy should drive toriel thru centralia" :/. That's just freaky
Your Rx-7 vid made me pee my pants. It was the 1st vid I seen of yours.......THX for filling my TopGear void...now that it is gone. :(...Also YOU need to do a mazdaspeed 3 review, not the newerish ones with that silly smiley face but a 2007ish model.
"I'm not going to take that, it looks rough..." - You're in a JEEP! ;)
+DerbJd He doesn't know how to wheel tho. So he gets a pass. Especially in a "the wheels are to big" stock Jeep.
+DerbJd Definitely an "I'd do it in my car/truck/whatever, but not in someone else's if they're riding shotgun" sort of trail. Mr. Regular is cautious with other people's vehicles.
I'd probably do it in my old Volvo if I was dared to, though.
Val 'Fuzzy' Plushroom
Remember... Nothing handles better than a hire car / someone else's car ;)
That was some serious wheelin' bro.
Should've used the lockers on that puddle.
Mr. Regular would be the kind of guy who starts yarning about some trivial history of any certain place he's familiar with when a stranger asks for directions.
+DrpzOfBlUd787 yeppp
+RegularCars I emailed you with my cars you can review. You Should check your email.
+RegularCars it's entirely charming
+James Vaneperen what cars did you offer?
A 1988 Jaguar XJS and a 1977 Lincoln Mark V
correct me if I'm wrong but all those trails seemed like four wheel drive was unnecessary
Yeah really. "oops a puddle, better kick it into four low."
+Jesse Sammons yea my friends isuzu goes through worse, sand that's deep and soft and still in 2wd if you stay on it
+Alberto Gamez I'm pretty sure I could of got through all of that with a Toyota Camry.
+Alberto Gamez Well here in PA the type of dirt, silt, and mine rock that's in these old mining towns is really slick and the GoPro distorts a lot of it. When I come back from my rides in the silts and the hill climbs the camera makes it look like it was nothing.

+Artyom Timiryazevskaya Yup!! Little torque monsters!!

-Sees slightly rolling trail ahead- "Ohhh, I'm not gonna take that, that looks rough"
+Just Here For The UA-cam Yeah I had to laugh at that!!
I am loving how I have never been anywhere near Centralia, but I know most of what they are talking about.
I would've driven my mothers Oldsmobile through that and never thought twice...
I love how every jeep TJ steering wheel leans to the passenger right a little but still drive straight. Drives me crazy on every jeep I've owned they have all done this.
3:40 I'm fairly certain you could have done that in 2wd :P
+Matthias Schmitt Yup!
+Matthias Schmitt I could have done that in my Focus.
+Matthias Schmitt TJ could have done the hill at 5:11 in 2wd
yeah true lol that aint gana stop a jeep
I used to drive worse roads than this in my mustang for my daily commute
As a jeeper I am pretty sure you could do all this in 2WD including the obstacles you avoided.
Exactly. Honestly I think my sisters Honda could have done it
Yeah, those people they talked to briefly were in a VW of some kind and had no issues. To be fair, though, it was Regular's first time driving a Jeep, so I can see why he wanted to take it easy.

Oh that's a puddle better put it into 4 low & lock the diff. Get ready to winch it.
+Colton Blumhagen you look like Dwight Schrute
+JonEatsAirplane hahahaha that he does
Thanks for sharing I have been there its an interesting place. I will have my 99' tj on the road next week I hope
this town is the basis for the silent hill game series
This reminded me filling out the registration paperwork for my dune buggy. "Number of Doors: 0"
Gets in TJ. 5 seconds later “ahhhhh this is nice”
hey Mr Regular, you can drive my 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited 5.7 if you're ever in Vermont!
For no reason I love these Jeeps. I don't know what it is about a Wrangler but I just want one.
"you don't need to do that"
(Mr. Regular happily laughs)
Do you have more footage of this, it was cool I would love to see more
I love when mr regular knocks his shoes off and the owner just off the bat says "you don't need to do that" 😂
What size tires does that jeep have and is it not lifted?
Sounds like it's the wheel hitting something not the tire. Had the same noise when I took my Moab wheels off and threw some regular steel wheels on my Jeep.
you left him hanging on those keys man
Silent Hill!
Don't ever stop driving stick my man
How tall are you and how comfortable was using the clutch ?Thanks
I was just there last weekend, its so much different now
can you do a review of the 1976 datsun 280z I have been looking for a review but I haven't had any luck. thank you
+john stipich He does reviews on cars that people in the area have. If they don't volunteer their car to be reviewed, there can be no review. So he'd have to find someone with a '76 280z willing to let it be reviewed. Usually, the people find him.

Kinda, it has more AMC than the 2000's and up but it's still been touched by Chrysler quite a bit
Feels like playing far cry
Dude you don't even need 4wd to go though a pond
damn that place looks fun!
So I just learned about this place a few days ago from a Vsauce3 video and now I hear about it a second time. What a coincidence!
Perfect song for this video or my memory is getting old. Bob Segar - Fire Down Below.
what happened to this place?
What kind of camera are you using it to record this video? GoPro?
You could get wheel spacers to stop the tires from rubbing
Man, that is the SLOWEST steering lol
I know!! it's really hard to watch 😂
When was this filmed? Because it looks way too green and warm to be november
+Baba Wethu Perhaps it has something to do with the massive coal mine fire that is still burning beneath them?
Apocalyptic location be damned, that's some beautiful country to be in from the looks of it.
Oh and if you put on a 1/4 inch wheel spacer 31's will fit, half inch 33's
lol @ 4:00 when he says we need 4 wheel drive for a small gravel road XD
Is a 4 cylinder?
"I'm not gonna take that, that looks rough"
To be fair, many sketchy trails I've taken look unassuming on video. That GoPro really doesn't do it justice.
Mr Regular. Not the guy I want to go offroad with
I love centrailias story. I wanna go against but its an hour drive. I was there once when I was littlw
TheSamplebridge An hour? I live in Pittsburgh and I drove out to see it. Dude that's such a short drive
4:44 If you wanted to go down into that bush, you could smell it! XD
Hey, if you ever come down to Nebraska, I have a 1995 Cadillac DeVille Concours I want you to review. I think you would have some hilarious things to say about my car. Thanks!
Coal seam fire? That Centralia?
+littlearsehole75 Yeah. That's where he meant. Always wanted to go there just because. Seems like a lot of other people do too.
+CPD0123a I've read about a lot of coal seam fires. I'd like to visit Centralia, too. Living on the wrong coast, though.
littlearsehole75 I at least live in PA, but pretty far off. From the sounds of it, it's almost like our version of Chernobyl in a way, although a lot less so. Looks from this video like it's almost all just a cool offroader's or gravel-roader's paradise and mostly grown up, though. Makes me want to go there even more!
+littlearsehole75 The interstates run across the country ;)
+Ty Garrett *sigh* I know...
Is Centralia a Fallout 4 themed "Bring your own survival gear" safari park?
After watching the review on this Jeep, I decided to go on Kijiji (Canadian Craigslist [But better]) and dang! They really do have a great resale value! Even the beat to heck ones that have panels falling off are 3k! I bet Jeeps are great but are they THAT great (the older Jeeps I mean)???

I'm watching this from ashland pa where I live
Mr. Regular is Ted Mosby of cars.
I miss my Jeep :-( I gave it to my sister when she got her license and I got my Chevy 1500
*Phew* nearly didn't make it without that 4 wheel drive..
I have 31-10.50s. No lift ..my tires have never rubbed.. I think I can run 33's and not rub woith no lift.. but my flairs are trimmed
That's because his ball joints are bad. Mine made the same noise when they went bad. Thought it was axle ujoints. never tire rub... lol
Bkearney56 makes sense
Centralia or Jurassic Park? :P
Why is everyone lost lol, maybe a leveling kit would help with the rubbing.
lol I want Mr. Regular to drive the LSX willys
Which Chrysler is best Chrysler?
+Ramon B
None of them
Cringed when you started talking about how the TJ's the best. Sincerely, AMC CJ owner.
Not that there's anything wrong with TJ's. I just prefer simple, indestructable, dead reliable, military based CJ's. Not the most luxurious but they'll take you anywhere in the world you want to go and get you back home every single time.
LOL, only actual jeep guys get this.
But people nowadays barely even recognize Cj's and it's pretty saddening
+Venomous villain Yeah people really underestimate how loyal and reliable CJ's are. They're like the best dog one can imagine. the worst is that people often now classify jeeps as just willy's and wranglers. I have a hard time holding back every time some college douche goes "nice wrangler, bro"

it is likely the tire rubbing not the wheel.
plz do more jeep vids!
Which Jeep is best Jeep?
+DarTro This Jeep is best Jeep because *no doors* ...
this jeep is best jeep cause no roof
+Christopher Williams this jeep is best keep because no automatic transmission
This Jeep is best Jeep because *tire rub* ...
this jeep is best jeep because 4 wheel motorcycle
I literally joked with my best friend about an hour before I saw this video "yeah, Regular car reviews guy should drive toriel thru centralia" :/. That's just freaky
What's wrong with the TJ?
Nothing wrong with the tj the best vehicle in the world is the tj
I had a two door jk and I miss it everyday:(
He says that looks rough. Please, my father has one, I've been mudding with it in two wheel drive mode. I'd say maybe a foot of mud.
seriously, 4 low for an inch of water?!
Uncharted 4 pov gameplay
That is one motherfuckin Jeep Bro if i may say so.
It all looks very easy, not off-roading at all.
That handbrake look likes its designed for right hand drive cars...
Washington baby
The town Silent Hill is based after...creepy.
+ChwyNiblet and Harry Mason was driving a Jeep!
TRX SPOTTED

RCR Review: "Jeep owners... I get it"
This Video: *See's slight obstacle on road "I'm n0T g0nN@ tAke TH@t"
Buddy, you don't get it...
First stick I ever drove
he needs a lower backspacing on his wheels for them to not rub
Could of done that on my kids smart trike! 4wd & 3 muppets :)
how is this street legal? You dont have mirrors lol.
buddy your in a jeep it likes it rough. all the trails your on aren't even that bad. my grandpas pt could make it.
oh cmon! we all wanted to see the old coal mine fire! what a tease! lol :-)
im actually surprised you didnt drive the so called nasty stuff its a jeep dude whats the worst can happen you back down and hit it again?
you offroad like a german
Something about a fire at a dump, these videos just keep getting weirder and weirder.
+SupraWes He was referring to *the* dump, where the fire started.
If gay and awkward were an emoji, this dude would be a rainbow!
you could have done all of that in 2WD
He could have done all that in a Honda Accord.
Could of done that on my 2yo smart trike!
no need for 4 wheel what so ever
I used to live in this shithole town.

+B Vee thats sad bro!
+Djurre Hoogterp But not as sad as someone typing "first" on a youtube vid.
+Jason Arno Oh shit he gave you a good setup
You have to drive a 04-06 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited. It will change your life.
