There is no argument the RAM has the most luxurious trim package in the truck market.
widening roads doesn't make traffic go away.
Correct! Volume AND speed increase. The design term for this phenomenon is “induced demand”.
That is extremely inspiring
nah houston has zero traffic now that they have 16 lane highways 😝
Last weekend I returned to the Rexburg area from Am Fork and average over 22mph with my '22 Ram 1500 Hemi eTorque. Just driving the speed limit. No A/C and cruise.
Nice review
I think you’re right the truck has it all I’ve got a new one ordered fully loaded pretty excited and it checks every box off
Insane Hurricane Ben !! ❤❤
It's another small engine with two turbo chargers slapped on. put dual turbo chargers on a hemi and you would spin the wheels off the thing. it's just more EPA garbage.
Great review! Can you review a quad cab by chance? Thanks!
The 2025 Ram 1500 Tradesman HFE has the Hurricane engine LED headlights adaptive cruise for only $38k it’s the best value in the Ram Lineup
... so the theory is sound and I'm all for it but I have yet to seen something that comes close to that range in that class ...
Where are you seeing this? The HFE starts at 41k, and that's with the 3.6 pentastar, quad cab configuration, and 2wd. The 4wd hurricane model would be well above 46-47k
My dealer gave me one for $38k two wheel drive hurricane
@mrshopjulius5840 Then they gave you a deal/rebates (good for them!). If you price one out, you can't touch it for 38k without discounts and incentives..
@@AP383BB My Ram dealer is discounting even 2025s. MSRP is meaningless on trucks again bar very hot items like a Raptor.
Checked one out - my dislike is the throttle response from stock is not linear, with that said, there are simple performance tunes to fix that. Other than that I will wait a couple of years before buying the night edition big horn.
Hey Ben! I like the review. I would like to see reviews on the Ford F-150 & 250 Shelby Baja, the Ford Bronco Raptor, the Ford Ranger Raptor, and the Ford F-150 Raptor R and how they differ and compare. I look forward to seeing and hearing more about the Ram Rebel! Have a terrific day!
I’ve posted reviews on those
Is there a loud exhaust option like the active exhaust GM provides? Or will you have to go after market
Got sidetracked on a youtube chicken taco short below this video. I’m back now. Are we at the part of the video where Ben convinces himself to sell his new vehicle he just got and buy this one yet ?
I see you can option air suspension on the Rebel? Even smoother ride.
I have noticed that most dealers keep their vehicles with low fuel 😅
Ben when giving reviews can you please mention the fuel type…the #1 reason for me avoiding a hemi engine is because they recommend mid grade for best results…gas prices matter when buying a vehicle to some…
I'm on my 3rd ram wirh Hemi,I have burned only regular and never had an issue.
Any thoughts on a Traverse Z71 review?
He did one
Sorry can’t say it’s “Solid “ until I see one with 200k trouble fee miles on it ! BTW I can wait FCA’s prices are ludicrous!
Check the reliability on the Wagoneers. They’ve been using these engines for a while now.
I guess you mean Stellantis, FCA is no longer calling the shots.
How many modern vehicles go 200k “trouble free”? I can’t think of one.
Same prices or cheaper than ford and chevy
@@chadstellwagen3460engine wise, ford Chevy and ram have V8’s that are very good up to and past 200k. I have a 13’ ram hemi with 247k on it. Zero engine issues. All issues have been things that happen to all vehicles. Alternators, exhaust issues, rust related things. Nothing to do with actual engine. That’s what we at talking about. That’s the expensive stuff.
NO DRL's on Rebel??? ... I don't know, for me that just Kills It
Do we know the towing capacity of the Rebel yet?
Ram should keep on putting the hurricane in there's trucks. The hurricane engine sounds perfect If I going to buy a ram pickup it got to have a hurricane engine
Please talk about all the problems they’re having with the hurricane engine!!
Did they ever fix the AC
They are all over Phoenix Arizona with no problems. Mexico as well.
Nice truck but wish pricing was better.
Them prices are more than ford and gm still stellantis taking over
@@843MudMafia.by losing market share and losing money year over year. Interesting strategy.
@@843MudMafia......people are dumb for buying at these prices....and I do not need Europeans building the domestic trucks that we all buy....WE can build our own....
@johnnyfreeman1018 yea I like ram but they getting hurt
@@johnnyfreeman1018 wont lie, dealer near me has a couple of these hurricane rams for less than 60k....im surprised, they arent tradesmans either, i was expecting like 70-80 for most
18mpg is phenomenal. wow
No shifter,damn
What’s with the flashing lights on the display screen
We get 13-14 mpgs in a f150 2.7 v6 while towing our 16 ft
sounds impressive but we don't know about the reliablility
The engine has been available for years. It hasn’t had any issues. They overbuilt the engine to handle a potential 750 hp
@@aymanlockhartable better google that kid because your wrong..🤣
I wouldn't worry about that. At worst it will be above average but the Hurricane isn't what Ram buyers are historically looking for. They tend to drool asking if dat got a Hemi?
@@Spoolingturbski the hurricane engine barely has 2 years on the market. it’s reliability is yet to be proven
There are similar engines out there which are doing just fine
What’s the point of changing engines? I’ve heard of no serious positives in doing so. Is there a significant decrease in emissions? 2 cylinders, I doubt it. Mpg is much different and I’m sure Towing and reliability are going to be affected. Why change what works.
I’m surprised! My tundra 2012 gets 15 to 16 mpg. I’m always suspicious with new engines.
Tundra has always had worst economy. EpA rated i😢t less that Ford or ram about 2 mpg.
Reliability is the only thing
Next time please show the outside of the vehicle.
2024. F150 Tremor please
Hurricane has been out for 2 years now and heard just great reviews about it , Ram builds the most awarded most reliable pickup on the planet since the new 5th gen in 19, been driving Ram since 19 after leaving ford and will never buy another truck but Ram...RAM-1500 KING OF TRUCKS👌👍
RAM and GM are the king. Ford is the worst.
Personally I don't hate ram trucks. And you're right, hurricane has had less problems than toyota's TTV6 (I'm a Toyota guy and ashamed of them for that) but 2021 was by far the most unreliable year for Ram 1500, having more electrical issues than any other year. And Rams have had frames snap in half. And you can't convince me that an electronic dial shifter makes you feel like you're in a Truck.
@@FullsendOffroad......Well said 👍
@@FullsendOffroadThe dial is efficient and faster+technological
people abuse Rams. The job sites are covered with them. Ram built North America.
@@BloodAlwaysFindsItsLevel tech is another thing to break. Wherever I go it's always fords doing the jobs. One company near me still uses an OBS ford dually as a work truck. Sometimes GM too. I only see ram trucks as car haulers.
Ben no offense and I know you probably trying to look like The Bee Gees but you look better with beard. Just an opinion
Looks a mountain man off the grid! Not a good look.
Said no woman EVEr
Hey Ben, this Snap Dragon Comercial that I can't seem to skip is longer than your actual video. Not good
My 2016 rebel gets 16-18, I'll keep the hemi !!!
My 19 bighorn with the 5.7 got 21-23 highway and around 17-18 city… I still own it…same truck is 70k now….ridiculous…
I have a 19 bighorn. Msrp was 47k. BoUgt for 38. Now my truck is 53k msrp. Not a huge jump. And u can get 8 to 10k off
Its funny when reviewers take any stellantis product seriously as if its nothing more than a scam to boost shareholder profit at the buyer's expense and will start falling apart after 30k miles.
I hope to sweet baby Jesus they put this engine in the next gen wrangler
Man trucks are crazy expensive no matter the brand. Freaking covid inflation. 😂
Jesus!
E-torque doesn’t help it hurts your fuel economy and it kills horsepower did the trial myself
you look like grizzly Adams
Interesting flashing sensors on the sides of the instrument cluster.
It's the camera, they don't flash.
The new 6 cylinder gets the same mpg as the v8 with a small increase in power, the hurricane might be a little faster but the hemi will last a lot longer.
How do you know it will last longer? Inline sixes are some of the most rebust engines out their.
Better on the highway and you have no idea about the reliability
"small increase"
@@go_dawgs_8290 .ax torque at much lower rpm. Better and smoother all around
I would’ve expected an all new Rebel to actually look better than the one that it’s replacing.
The night edition always looked ass. I liked the silver wrap around skid plate and lettering. Made it look cool. This looks terrible with the thin lights. And they deleted the cool moustache. What a way to go.
Yeah no dipstick for oil change 😂 French design, Hemi is better
I cant put the word rebel and quiet together. Needs to be a V8 and LOUD...
Not hearing the v8 rumble killed this truck
Not having a engine oil dipstick is a deal breaker!
Ok… how much did Stellantis pay you??
Anyone with common sense and objectivity would drive all three and choose the ram
Not better than a v 8
Twida
?
@@benlecluyse Lol, the way he says Toyota
Great content but for the love of God please stop saying with that being said, just leave it out, thanks
Your original style was better. It worked well. 🎉
If the engine shrinks the price should as well….
More hp and more torque....Hmmmm
Turn the hazard lights off.
?? The blinking next to the clusters is the camera, you won’t see that in person.
Let's be real. Nobody likes it. The 5.7 was no slouch.
Other than sound, the new hurricane is better in every way. It's just people who aren't open to change.
@@AP383BB people who buy trucks want a truck. They want something that does the job. This has less towing and payload capacities than the old engine. They make the same mpg's. No one who owns a truck cares about 0-60. It's more powerful but people want reliable trucks. This we don't know if it will be reliable. But think. Ford's first ecoboosts kept blowing up. New tundras are blowing up. People using trucks want V8's.
@FullsendOffroad this is actually 100% not true. 60-70% of people who buy trucks today never tow with it. They are becoming everyday vehicles. Second, the real-world MPG is quite different between these two engine platforms. 3rd, payload didn't go down because of the engine, it went down because of the smoother ride quality
and they prioritized that over payload because people are buying trucks for everyday vehicles. The trademan packages have better payload. Just face it, you're an "old," grumpy man who hates change. Ford made this change over a decade ago, and their sales have gone way up. You just aren't facing the facts.
@@AP383BB possibly, and I guess you're right that people don't use their trucks right anymore. But now Ford is really the only manufacturer that gives you what everyone wants. You can have either the V6, the V8, you can have a luxury pavwment princess, work truck, baja truck, or anything. This isn't the case anymore with brands like Toyota and Ram. And I can't see an MPG difference. It's only 1-2mpg of a difference at maximum. And the 6 cylinder will struggle way more than the V8 in towing heavy loads. At least put it as a damn option like Ford does. When Toyota made the switch to the V6 in the Tundra the mpg only went up about 2mpg, but the engines are blowing up and absolutely nobody is happy with the new engines. Owners say that it pumps nice power but other than that it sucks. Everyone says the truck doesn't drive like the old one. I don't know many anyone who likes the new Tundra's quality control and engine. People buying Tundras wanted the simplicity and longevity of the old generation. Plus I can't remember the last time a 5th gen ram needed better ride quality. They already ride like cadillacs. And if you really are looking for ride quality, get an escalade or suburban with independent rear suspension. That will ride better than a pickup and is also more practical. Americans have lost common sense.
@@FullsendOffroadthe Ram has always been the one to fill the job sites
👍💖👍
Truck drive good. Truck get worse mileage uphill. Truck get better mileage downhill. Interesting. Interesting. Interesting. Impressive type deal. The end.
Ugly truck need to change the style looks old😂
The hemi is one of the most problem motors out there that’s why resale on them suck
NO HEMI, NO MOPAR, STELLANTIS SUCKS!!!!!
Ben, you can't wear a beard and hairstyle like that and not play a guitar at least once in every video.
It's truly sad that the loser musician look would be attractive to you or anyone else
Why u look like al boreland tho?
