Ian Anderson is a musical genius with very few peers. The fact he is ironically and literally an unsung hero is a testament to the cultural poverty of the modern age - utterly corrupted by commercialism and Simon Cowell induced zombyism. Ian and his band are pioneers of the classical music of the late 20th and early 21st Centuries. For those who have never heard Tull, get listening, and pass the baton to your friends and relatives. You and they will be the richer, culturally, for it. Greetings to all veteran Tull followers like myself. First saw them on the Thick as a Brick tour in 1972. Life is a long song. Never a truer word was spoken. Ian Anderson is a musical immortal.
CIAO A TUTTI
Well said...so true
Well said little John. I saw them in Dallas in 72. People use to tell me you either love tull or hate them well I loved to them and still do.and the tune ends too soon gi
For us all.
DANG 1972 i was like one year “Old”🤣
Dude is still performing at the age of 76!!! Amazing 😎
Ian Anderson IS the best!!!💯❤️
Jethro Tull 😋Insaine!! I Love insaine🤣
Ian Anderson, you and your music is so full of energy, you make me smile.
My favorite musician for 50 years, and so much more...
Ian Anderson is one of the greatest flute players in the world; he writes and composes all his music.
I saw Jethro Tull several years ago on the Thick as a Brick II tour - fantastic 👏
Genius always has the positive and negative thrown at . This man to me is one of the best composers of all time and not to mention one of the best flautists of all time... Plus he is not the only one who keeps on playing so do the Stones ect.. I am glad they Kim well put why should they sit at home and wait on death when they have so much to offer. Plus Ian never did drugs.. the man deserves applause.
Life is a long Song! Thanks to Ian Anderson. .😊❤
Vai ian!Ti ascolto da quando ero bambino.Eri grande allora e lo sei ancora.
I become very angry when I read negative comments being hurdled at this man. He wrote most of this music and songs. How many of his critic's can say that?? Not many or any I'm sure. This venue was sold out as well..... I agree that his voice is gone and that's a shame considering it's one of the things I love about him. I feel he should have a sound-a-like fill in for him IMO. Just because someone is older, that doesn't mean that they should be at home waiting to die......
As for this performance, I think it's wonderful!! The whole orchestra was superb and multi-talented. I throughly enjoyed watching and hope to see more from Ian Anderson in the future.
Bravo to all!!!!!
I've attended more than 50 Tull shows. The first was the A Passion Play tour. During this period, from 1973 to 1980, I worked for WEA Records (Warner Brothers) Canada. Anderson's voice deterioration is the result of smoking, not due to age.
Kim Panfile Hear hear !!! Ian is an amazing self taught musician and song writer !!!
Kim Panfile Enjoy the video, actually I think the sound should of been better. Love his version of "God Rest Ye Merry Gentleman".
Jeff Underwood "should have" NOT "should of"!!
Prog X I have never believed the "self taught" bit. He's far, far too good and knows too much about music theory, to be self-taught.
Salud!
Great musicians and wonderful pieces...!
I had no idea he was such an accomplished flute player. Wow! Very impressed.
He's a genius.
This is a musical work of art. Thank you.
In an age of guitarists, Ian Anderson make prog rock music with A FLUTE and did stadium shows that would blow your sock off. A true Bard.
Molto più tranquillo ma sempre eccezionale !
This man, Is amazing! Thanks

this is one of my favorite Pieces by my favorite artist that this is the most enjoyable
Lindo!
I didn't expected it was that good!!!
He barely sings (and he knows it), but plays flute like god.
Absolutely love Anderson. (Even when I saw him last year)
Such a pity he smoked like a coal plant.
haha - the audience got all happy at the start of Mother Goose and suddenly realised they had no clue where the beat was. It's some sort of 3/3/2 thing. Ian Anderson is a really good harmonica player - I wish he'd do more of it.
guy never fails tae impress me,claas act.
olha pessoau que música linda oussa...
20:00 Badass Bach Bouree! especially the ending in all its crazy breathy glory!
YEAH...¡¡¡
Good evening. My father taught me to play almost all of Ian. I met a duty free in charle degoule, airport. I eas a littleboy and asked for an autograph and he was so kind, i do not know what to say. He stroked my hair and said i know his family whenever i want. He is my inspiration, my idol and icredible geniOUS, and poet and my teacher.
it's just what i meant, and said... we used to know!

As you know at. Christmas. we are with our. families or our ghosts
A big fan of JT and IA since "This Was" This is a little different take than the Ian Anderson plays orchestral DVD.
Dunka..
You-Tube just will not let me post that in a list ... :-(
And you hear your voice croak as you choke on the things you try to sing...
24:29 il flauto suona ancora ?????
I see what some have written about his vocals, but it has to be said that they aren't a patch on the albums. He really should have gotten someone to sing for him. It must have been dispiriting for the musicians when they heard the vocal.
thanks for posting this...
I am Ian's #0 fan
BWV combien, au fait ?
Don't live w/o me. Debora?
Damn it !
;) (Voir le concert Thick as a brick Live in Iceland)
30:14
Its a Jethro decaf, Ian whitout voice
I hate the orchestra musicians apathy and lack of swing (listen for example to Mother Goose). I wasn't impressed by Griminelli either, but Anderson's decision to have his volume higher than Griminelli's doesn't help. Otherwise, I am enjoying this a lot.
Awful production, doesn't do the music justice
thanks very much for this video.
Luxferium You're welcome!
