There was a cat cafe that did exist before them. It's called Cat Town Cafe and it was opened in Oakland in October 2014. Crumbs and Whiskers opened in June 2015.

It’s nice to see someone going through with their dream. I failed in my first business because I had a motorcycle accident and I was literally the only one working but I’m going to start again whenever I can. I hate working normal jobs so much and I really want to help people be more attentive to their health

I don’t know how old crumbs and whiskers is but cat cafes have been a thing in Asia for years! I’m not hating but I have a hard time believing that she got the inspiration to open crumbs and whiskers from visiting an elephant sanctuary when cat cafes and unique cafes in general are not something new
This is amazing we have one here in virginia called central perk and they paired up with smitties cat rescue and take a lot of the older cats to the cafe and last I heard they had 11 of the 22 cats there adopted and it’s a new program so this was very exciting since the older cats don’t get adopted as easily. This was a fantastic idea and it’s exciting that these are catching on in the US. So nice to see the persons story who started it all.

Wow this was such an inspiring video. I immediately went to the Crumbs and Whiskers website to learn more about this company and their story, and I must say I LOVE it! There are so many stray cats (and dogs) in this this world, and it is great to see they rescue the cats and try to find them a home while running a business where people can come, relax and play with cats while having a cup of coffee. Just like Kanchan, I love animals. I've always had a big heart for them and it is amazing to see how these cats are getting the attention they need and hopefully get adopted to a lovely home. I just graduated from college and I would love to work for a company like Crumbs and Whiskers! I hope they make a store in Texas, preferably in the San Antonio area or even Austin! I would definitely love to visit! Thank you Shelby for such an amazing video and thank you Kanchan for making a better world for animals

The one I went in Thailand was free. You only had to consume a drink and had no time limit
