LGB G-Scale Garden Railway - Running Trains - January 2023

Today we got some time in the garden after Christmas to run trains for the first time in 2023. We'd recently done some work on an old locomotive (the grey one towards the end) so it was a good chance to check everything was working as expected.

If you plan to upgrade the sound of your IVk, get an Esu loksound XL decoder. There is a guy called schwoboda, who makes absolutely amazing sound projects for German narrow gauge locomotives.

Thanks for the tip! I've been slowly equipping my locos with the MD Electronics sound/drive decoders but I'll check out schwoboda too. The name is new to me but appreciate the advice. I only got this loco at Christmas but I think you're right - sound needs to be a bit crisper!
