- The Friends of LGB Northern Germany visited the Baeke Valley Railway in Berlin, a very nice G gauge garden railway built by one of their members.
During this open house day trains of various prototypes ran on the tracks - whatever the visitors brought with them.

It looks fantastic! A very well built layout with some lovely stock. First time I've seen Gustav with a Deutsche Post box on the side - love it!

Schöne Anlage, leider wird viel zu schnell gefahren... insbesondere Gustav
Gustav muß sich beeilen, um vor einem ihn verfolgenden Zug zu flüchten - haben Sie denn nicht erkannt, dass wir eine Hommage an die Stummfilme von Keaton, Chaplin oder Laurel&Hardy inszeniert haben? In unserem Verein spielt auch Humor und Spaß am Spiel eine wichtige Rolle.
Gustav und den T3 in der einen Einstellung mal ausgenommen: nö. Die Züge bewegen sich zwar am oberen Limit aber "viel zu schnell" ist das nicht. Beim Harzbullen macht das Gestänge auf einigen flacheren Stellen beim Vorbild ähnlich viele Umdrehungen.
...ich mag es halt, wenn sie so langsam vor sich hinschnaufen :-)

@baeketal at 1:12 you have a steam engine with the shell oil tank on back. That engine is called a camelback in the states, because of the coal being in the back of the engine, and no tender.
@@deweyhall712 I think that is not quite correct. For a camelback the cab sits astride the boiler. This is not the case here, the boiler is positioned entirely in front of the cab. It is a regular tender locomotive, carrying coal and water without the need for an additional vehicle.

Und immer wenn sich das RhB-Krokodil aus einem der viel zu engen Tunnel schält, lachen sogar die Hühner ...
