I didn"t know this song before. But when I told my siblings about me "discovering" Morissette through her iconic song "Akin Ka Na Lang", they told me, "you should watch her singing 'Never Enough'". And true enough, I was again amazed at how beautiful she sang this. Then I searched for the original, which was in "The Greatest Showman" movie. I also watched other singers doing covers of this song. I am convinced, at least for me, Morissette's version is the best of them all. 🥰 To watch her perform this live before a huge audience, one during her Mother's Day concert in Laguna, Philippines, and just recently, with David Foster (yes, the legendary music maker) just cemented my stand that Mori's rendition is the best! 🥰 You are correct, that crescendo towards the end was not in the original. It was Mori's addition to make this song her own. The original singer L.A. adapted that arrangement subsequently. And David Foster even improved that ending, you should watch it, and maybe you can also react to it. By the way, you are a good singer as well. Your take of "Never Enough" is also beautiful.
