I have had the pleasure of not only being a fan of this beautiful young woman for the past almost 5 years ,but also getting to know her. She is indeed warm, humble and insanely talented to the level of exactly the artists you described. I can say that with absolute certainty after hearing her live in concert. No smoke, no mirrors just an incredible artist all around. Glad she made it to your channel! I would love to see more of her here. She recently put out an EP on an Indy label testing the waters. I'm from the US and was thrilled to see it chart on I Tunes not just in the Phillipines but 20 other countries including here in the US particular for over a month! I think you were being humble while writing your comment. Mori is not just the best in the Philippines but rather "one of the best" or even "one of best of the best" in the world without any exaggeration or doubt. she has been getting a lot more popular and famous around the world nowadays and should have been a household name in terms of singing and performing in most countries. being a global household name will always needs many other outside factors besides being superb talented in singing. I hope one day she will get there sooner or later. BTW I am not a Filipino nor living in the Philippines, however just both objectively and subjectively speaking the truth of her singing talent.

I personally believe that artists of this magnitude only have one differentiating factor that separates them from your average singer. It's the ability to completely flow on the thing we call music. Theres no thought process about relaxed jaw, vocal runs or anything of the sort, it is strictly that they embody the music and melody without a trace of fear or lack of confidence in their abilities. instead they just are music in its essence. very rare breed of people, not even many main stream artists would come even close to such heights.

She is indeed warm, humble and insanely talented to the level of exactly the artists you described. I can say that with absolute certainty after hearing her live in concert. No smoke, no mirrors just an incredible artist all around. Glad she made it to your channel! I would love to see more of her here. She recently put out an EP on an Indy label testing the waters. I'm from the US and was thrilled to see it chart on I Tunes not just in the Phillipines but 20 other countries including here in the US particular for over a month! You're right, she is a naturally gifted performer. She can do R&B, jazz, gospel, rap, rock, classical, stage plays, etc.
She has a range of 5 octaves and 4 notes. She hits those whistle notes in her songs "Akin Ka Na Lang" and "I Wanna Know What Love Is."
She plays the keyboard and guitar. She can dance well. And she just came out with her very first album of co-written and co-produced songs called "Signature."
She has earned the titles of "Mariah Carey of the Philippines" and "Asia's Phoenix."
In spite of all of her success, she remains such a humble human being. She is a born-again Christian.
She is so adorable to us, her worldwide fans. And she has such a bubbly personality.

The vocal “squeaks” are intentional! She does them on cue. You can see more of it from her performances of Secret Love Song and her own original, Akin Ka Na Lang. The latter features her almighty whistle/flageolet register!

I think you were being humble while writing your comment. Mori is not just the best in the Philippines but rather "one of the best" or even "one of best of the best" in the world without any exaggeration or doubt. she has been getting a lot more popular and famous around the world nowadays and should have been a household name in terms of singing and performing in most countries. being a global household name will always needs many other outside factors besides being superb talented in singing. I hope one day she will get there sooner or later. BTW I am not a Filipino nor living in the Philippines, however just both objectively and subjectively speaking the truth of her singing talent.

Morissette Amon is a vocal BEAST and not only that, she is superb songstress and technical singing master. FTR, I am a retired, professional music critic, with 45+ years of experience. I saw many of the great female Pop singers, like Celine Dion, Whitney Houston, Mariah Carey, Regine Vazquez etc, live, at their Apex singing peaks. Morissette is a match for any of them. She has become one of the top 5 to 8 Pop singers of all time (my opinion), since then.
I personally believe that artists of this magnitude only have one differentiating factor that separates them from your average singer. It's the ability to completely flow on the thing we call music. Theres no thought process about relaxed jaw, vocal runs or anything of the sort, it is strictly that they embody the music and melody without a trace of fear or lack of confidence in their abilities. instead they just are music in its essence. very rare breed of people, not even many main stream artists would come even close to such heights.
