Morissette is not a regular singer with a beautiful voice. She is an extraordinary singer who travels with her voice, internalizes the song and is happy to share this journey with us. Sometimes I think how much we would be missing if we didn't know her. And her whistling tone is truly dreamy.

CZ Media you Will be the judge. You are also a vocalist. AKNL is the song that the vocal coaches around the world was fascinated by her range, her angelic voice, her ability to hold long notes with one breath and her whistle tone.🇨🇦AKNL help Morissette to be known internationally this song is iconic. She truly is one of a kind. During her EP release she said that her whistle is not her “signature” (name of her EP) and she no longer uses or indulges in her whistle tone much anymore for voice longevity. She’s a humble, sweet and hardworking individual. I love everything she puts her hands on.
Side note, after the first reaction you did of Mori I watched a few videos of yours. You can REALLY SING! This is a big compliment but you sound a lot like Jesse J who Morissette also idolizes and actually had the chance to sing with when Jesse J invited her on the stage to sing with her after Mori interviewed her backstage. It was very impromptu.

The last belt with run was in one breath lasting so long, I love it, this is a original written for Mori by a good friend Kiko Salazar back in 2015, he has a newish song for Mori called POWER which she sang at the MISS Universe contest then later in her studio after being ill for some time, you see her husband Dave Lamar on the monitor checking everything and he cannot believe how great she is singing, even better than the miss contest now that's saying something she is just brilliant, brave, beautiful and so happy to be able to sing, just watch Dave's face, did I forget to say it was the FIRST TAKE as well, this song show cases Mori's voice. Enjoy

You're not the first to say she's a top tier vocalist, in fact a number of reactors, vocal coaches and singers who reacted to her videos stated she's in the league of superstars like Mariah, Celine Dion, Whitney Houston and so many other legendary great vocalists and two even boldly said that "it's a tragedy for the music history if Morissette's name will not be a household name".

What sealed the deal for me with Mowie, was when she covered Mariah's "Fly Like a Bird" with ease and flirtatiousness. If that's not your thing, then her musical theater covers of "She Used to Be Mine" and "Defying Gravity" will have you speechless.

There was an interview of hers where they asked about the Mori "squeak" sound & she described it herself where she gets 2 a pitch where she's at the edge of her whistle register and when it starts, she cuts it off. She then notices that it happens 2 her voice quite a bit so she just let's it & is now her signature sound. We love it!!! And she is the only singer in the world with it.

One blunder, minor but significant was you stopping Mori during that long beautiful phrase where she sang it in one breath:) That section just has to be appreciated without interruption, as I’m sure you’ll agree. So many reactors attempt to name her squeaks, cry's, and quirks. I think the best description is "enhancements". Every one is planned and intentional. They are one of the reasons she is incredible and no doubt one of the most talented singer worldwide. You can appreciate her multi-level talent with the one take video of "Could be Messiah". Yes 👍 Tagalog is the language.
Eddie van Halen smile 😃 Squeaks 🐿 of Jessie J. Christina Aguilera growl. Runs 🏃‍♂️ like Celine Dion.
Yet, Morissette Amon declares Mariah Carey as a major influence: whistle 🤯.
Suggested duet video 📹: Morissette Amon and Zephanie Dimaranan sing Bang Bang.
Many Filipinos do say Morissette Amon = Mariah Carey of The Philippines 🇵🇭.
Other Filipina singers who sing whistle notes: Katrina Velarde, Jona Viray, Klarisse de Guzman, Elaine Duran, Nina Girado, Elha Nympha (, who won The Voice Kids Philippines 🇵🇭 with whistle notes at 11 years old!), Chloe Redondo (, now 21, who whistled at 15 years old!), Yessha de la Calzada (13 years old!), Almira Cercado and Celina Cercado (both of 4th Impact) 🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯
Morissette Amon had concerts in Manila with David Foster in March 2023. Now, Morissette Amon is on tour in the USA 🇺🇸.

You know, like when fans seeing their idols they make that sound.
Or when you are in school (or in younger years) you saw your crush and can't control your emotions you make that sound to express what's in your mind emotion.
Whistles are from tongue, Tili are from purely vocal chords that are of high notes.

You said, "She is one of the best vocalists I've ever seen" and I couldn't agree more! 🥰 She is naturally gifted with a beautiful voice. She was already singing in their karaoke machine at age 3. She was joining tv singing competitions at age 9. She just turned 27 early this month. She has been singing all her life, or to put it in another way, she was born to sing. And we are blessed to have witnessed this amazing talent. 🥰 I think one of the reasons she is one of the top-tier vocalists is, as you have mentioned, she's got a lot of "tools" in her arsenal, she's capable of squeaks, growls, and whistle tones, she has a wide vocal range, she can go from low, sweet, dreamy tones, to mid-range, and to high belting notes which are rich, full and not strained nor sound shrilly. But the thing is, she doesn't overdo them as if to show off, but she uses them intelligently, sparingly, only on parts where she thinks they are appropriate, and so produces real good, quality sound and music and story-telling that captivates us listeners, leaving us in awe, and wanting for more. 🥰

I rattled off my favorite qualities of some of the all-time greats. Imagine my shock to later discover this singer actually existed. @@JoeyAndamo Thank you for sharing that anecdote, I didn't know that 😊 One of the things I love the most about Mori is that she can do the "beautiful" stuff and "beastly" stuff equally well. To do it the way she does is very rare imo.

Most singers now, abandoning the old style chest voice. Back when someone saying to me,if you want to be able to sing properly. Then go for a swim but before that, get your body soaked slowly until neck high, then do a ( do re me ) from low to high kind of backlash lol 😅

@@wilfredoaying930 Hello Wilfredo! The old ways are, in so many ways, superior, imo. Especially when it comes to the foundational techniques. Get the foundation right first, then you can experiment on the new techniques. Mori, imo, has such a great foundation. Her vocal issues are tiny, minor issues of refinement only.

I mostly see you in youtube shorts and I just found out today that you are reacting to singer performances as I stumbled upon this ❤❤ I really loved your reaction on this and I loved how your eyes show how you appreciate her technique and tone! And yes, Mariah Carey is one of the singers that influenced her 😊 Truly a masterclass!

A vocal coach said that tagalog is a language good for singing cause it uses a lot of vowels in its words.
