I liken this profession to that of pilots. Contrary to what many people think, it is a privilege to be a truck driver despite the challenges that come with the industry. One gets to travel to places that they would dream about or hear about . The routes that they travel on, mountainous routes offering scenic views. The cities and towns, big and small, having the privilege to see some towns and cities in the night and having to see their liveness during the night. I would leave my corporate Job if I have to, to be a truck driver. Not forgetting our brothers who crosses borders travelling thousands of kilometers day and night. When you go on a pension, you will often reminisce about some of the most beautiful places and routes you had the privilege to experience. I wish I could just sit with a retired truck driver to know about their road life, good and bad stories. Keep flying guys. You are the pilots on the ground. You are a force to be reckoned with, driving economies of the countries.
