16:59 I would use real radio knobs to hold the delete plate. Super glue a small nut at each mounting knob hole. 26:12 Wow cheap thin plastic your using. What a waste of time printing that! 😅 Use liquid Superglue to fix it. If you could get at the superglue to make it stronger you sprinkle baking soda on it and it’ll be has hard as a rock. The glue would be visible if you superglued the ouside edge that snapped off but would hold. You could just sand it smooth and paint it or better still paint the whole pod and you wouldn’t see the superglue/baking soda. If you make another one the same thing will happen if you bump into it. 😢 Myself I would mount both tach and water temp guages in the dash where you have spare spaces. BTW all those loose wires bugs the crap out of me.😂
The loose wires bug the crap out of me too. I’m working on it. It’s mostly Tach wires and the wiring for the now dead MSD box. The plastic wasn’t thin and crap, I had a slicer error I didn’t notice on the first print that printed the infill wrong. Readjusted the setting and it fixed it. Such is the life of home printing, sometimes mistakes are trial and error. The baking soda and super glue trick works great though, have used it many times
I like seeing what u make with the 3d printer and great to see progress on the GTO
Thanks, I’m still learning and it’s fun to do.
Looks great Kerry, I especially like what you did with the radio delete cover.
Thanks. It’s a little rough, but I’m learning.
A idea, what if u print some radio nobs and use as bolt head, I think that would look cool
I thought about that, maybe in my next attempt.
