Thanks for great content about subtitle. I looked my channel I can't see in subtitle section DUPLICATE AND EDIT. Looks like the studio doesn't do any more. How can we get the auto transcripts as UA-cam used to do it. It says automatic caption then says published and says neligible.

The reason the captions problems is not working I think k frankly it doesn't affect the folks who aren't using it so it isn't getting fixed

Ive been struggling for ages with UA-cam subtitles. There is no proper documention and the user interface is all over place.

teach us how to make 2 diferent subtitles one in english and other in arabic or hebrew so u have one from left to right and the other from right to left ,i know somebody did it in you tube with subtitles edit but with no animations so in that case u have to use aegisub so u can make animation for example a howitzer shooting every word while it advance the reading like karaoke text effect,is it posible u tech us how to make a personal animation like a howitzer shooting a word by word? use subtitles edit and aegisub ,both are free to use
9:36 Sometimes youtube does this part automatically and we don't have to keep pressing enter. But for some reason sometimes it just leaves it alone. It's a very useful feature that it does it by itself, but it doesn't always happen.

Some great tips, but not all videos on UA-cam will get automatic subtitles generated, even after a few months. It seems like a bug?
What if the video is in another spoken native language, other then english and we want to add english subtitles automatically can we do? What is the point to add sub in english if the video is in english language already?

This is about captions. Not subtitles.
I have a personal need for this technology as I live in a country where I cannot speak the local language. There are programmes on TV which have no English subtitles that I would quite like to watch, I am, however able to capture and save most of those programmes to .mp4.
I can upload them to UA-cam as private videos (so as not to fall foul of copyright issues) but UA-cam cannot transcribe the language for me. However I have found free apps that can, either from .mp4 or .mp3 so I end up with a Slovak .srt file which other apps I have found could translate to English .srt files for me and then I can merge them with the original .mp4 and view the foreign programmes with English subtitles.
I am thinking of also using Chat GPT to improve the quality of the .svg files (I wonder how it would perform with Dlovak and Czech language .srt files) as you suggest and that advice was really tremendously helpful.
