I watch you because you remind me so much of my mother and childhood, your videos warm my heart. When I cook I use canned coconut but next meal in my rice and peas I'm using fresh coconut. Thank you for reminding ding me of all the love and wonderful cooking.
Every time I watch you cook a traditional Jamaican dish, I learn something new. I didn’t know you could soak it overnight with lime and not boil it before cooking it.
Good afternoon, Auntie Pauline. Next time, blend the coconut; it will save much time and not harm your fingers. Also, I must mention that since I started watching your videos, I have learned how to prepare certain foods correctly.🇯🇲in 🇺🇸👍😍
Hi Auntie P I never had the runs down mackerel I am learning from you thank you and thank God for your husband Uncle George for his loving kindness he showed towards you.blessing

Howdy to you and your wonderful family. Aunty Pauline, I have not been feeling so well for the past week. Your vlogs always lift my spirit 😊. Run down has always been my favorite dish from childhood. Thank you for your wonderful cooking. Don't 4get to put your onion in the freezer for 10 minutes before you cook. No more tears. ❤❤❤❤❤
@@AuntyPaulineYaadtoAbroadthanks do much. I have a request for you. When growing up I wasn't a lover of too much salt fish. So my grandmother aka Mommy, use to make me fritters using mackerel and also ackee and mackerel. Maybe you could try this one day?❤❤❤
I will definitely look into that. Never made it before but there’s a first time for everything. Hope you are feeling better and thanks so much for being a loyal subscriber ❤️
Aunty p your too sweet and funny when you said blame it on the dumpling if you burn your self... aunty one of my favourite dishes....will try it with the can grace coconut milk for sure...still prefer natural coconut... the food looks so delicious wanted to grab the pot out the laptop...stay bless aunty p...big hello to husband and camera man and the rest of your beautiful family...its raining here in Ocho Rios right now...Gods richest blessing to you all...one love
Aunty Pauline you need the annatto. I think you get it at the section of the supermarket where you get the Mexican or Dominican Rep. Seasonings. Its very nice in coconut - run - down. Keep Up The Good Work. Blessings.
I’ve seen others cook so call run down. First of all they didn’t cook the coconut milk long enough to produce the most important custard. Yes it will taste of coconut but it’s not run down if there’s no custard; just call it mackerel in coconut milk. Aunty Pauline, I am still waiting for your pepper seeds to plant, please !!
Auntie Pauline to save your fingers and time do the coconut in the blender just a little advice. I love your flowers and your scotch banic peppers too blessings my friend.
Good evening miss Pauline, there’s nothing like the real thing, I personally wouldn’t eat run down without real coconut, but I think the tin coconut you used is not full fat, that may have made some difference, I’m dreaming now, run down and turn roast breadfruit ❤ your run down looks delicious, thank you.
@@monicaphillips2730 tinned coconut with run down is not for me, my cousin made it for me in Jamaica, I noticed the difference instantly, like you say you need to see custard and the oil, I could not eat it then and I won’t even taste it now, yours looked mouth wateringly scrumptious.
I only use the canned coconut milk or the dry coconut powder. I also use the brick coconut. I don’t have time to grade coconut unless I’m doing cornmeal or potato pudding. Can you please make cornmeal pudding.. that’s my husband’s favorite dessert. I would love to see how you do it!
Aunty Pauline I am watching you cooking these tasty meal making me hungry for some I learn how to cook green banana with lime juice to prevent it from turning black.

Read the label on the canned coconut milk and you will see that there is a long list of ingredients, including starches and stabilizers. The powdered one has even more ingredients, including cow's milk powder. There is no substitute for fresh and the results are very different.
Thanks for the update those things are do bad fir your body the cooking oil is the same nasty ingredients that kill you slowly. Only God knows that it's best to grow ur own of everything.
Guar gum only cause mild digestive symptoms if consume too much . The amount added in food is not bad. Just becarful with these tin foods read the label.
Hi aunty P.. the oil came from the mackreal itself, not the can milk. I was disappointed to hear that the can coconut milk run down tasted better in your opinion… but it’s what it’s. Keep up the amazing job, you’re doing. Big up yuhself, aunty P.👊🏻👊🏻! Peace and love ❤
