- This color footage of the 1955 Hallmark Hall of Fame adaptation was shot on the set by Lewis "Gommy" Gomavitz using a home movie camera. Since the broadcast itself was never recorded in color, this is the ONLY known color footage in existence.
This is so cool! It makes me wish I could see the whole movie like this! It looks like they went all out with the costumes, and some of that is lost in the black and white footage.
This was awesome to watch, thank you! I really couldn't recognize Bobby Clark without his glasses, lol. If I had been in charge of that studio then, I would have also recorded the whole show on color film and shown it in theaters around Christmas! Then sell it later on VHS, DVD and streaming!
