Good job! I wonder if it helps to see the power lines with or without sunglasses? It's a big fear of mine which is why you never see me low level. Plus East Texas is bland
I saw you on the Facebook ultralight group great videos I’m 12 and on my way to getting my ppl and already taking training on ultralights keep up the good content
You've working hard thru the night..... I've been looking at some of the Gliding Wings that are used on a trike configuration & they also can be a Paramotor setup too. But I don't like a Chute or floppy wing that you must get filled up w/ air before you can rotate. I like the Wing that has a "Bar Control" that you'd use to do all the steering/control stuff. But I'm just looking at everything including these units like you're flying here. So many considerations & I don't have money to waste so I'm doing all I can in the front end so I know what I'm looking at. Thanks for all your work Ms Courtney. peace & GB
That's why I am here with you, Ms Courtney..... I recognize that you fought to get here & I'll have to do the same. In saying that, it's a good thing I do not have the money to buy right now. Too easy to get into an impulse buy which can lead to big mistakes. I'll see ya on the next vid... peace
That looks like an airspeed indicator. Usually there is a little hole on front side and as you pick up speed it pushes air through the hole and there is a flat plate inside the tube that has one single rod from bottom to the to of the tube and the little flat plate will get push up in the tube higher and higher the faster you go and on the side of the outer tube it has marks that when that flat plate raises up inside you can read how fast you are going bases on that. It's really simple but very reliable at same time and light weight too.
Miss Courtney I'm a new subscriber. I'm somewhat of an old grump. But I always try to be helpful. I already have a grump with you. This is the first video I watched. I get to the end of the video. You left little time to judge you. Of course I made my mind up yes , yes I want to subscribe. The time I got the second yes out the video stopped after you invited me to join and I had to restart. At any time if you find me too grumpy let me know, I will politely understand. I judge people. Now that you have been judged, I'll probably hit the like button sooner. 👍 Please don't give me a 👎.
@CourtneyTakesFlight I seriously doubt that not for that reason. For some reason I'll find any little reason to be an old grump. Hopefully I'll find a chance to binge watch all your videos one day. If I find any comments I'll try to post them on your newest videos. I'm far from perfect and if I ever offend you in any way let me know and I'll bow out I truly understand my imperfections just not enough to control them. Happy holidays.
Too long? Too short? Boring? Comment please!
a little long, would be better with some exposition but enjoyable none the less.
I dont know because i get hipnotazed when i see videos like this, i am flying too!!! What was after the woods? a river?
Brilliant thank you -
It is enviable.
It's like flying next to you.
Unfortunately, in Hungary, flying so low is forbidden.
@@jackryan152 I'm trying to find the sweet spot. It's long for me, too, but there are folks that crave this stuff!
I loved it! That is what ultralight flying is all about - low and slow. 😊
It sure is!

Good question. There's a lot of stress when I fly that low. I only do it when the camera is rolling. Otherwise I'm at least 1k AGL, usually higher.
Look like a fun time Courtney!
Thank you.

Excellent! Don't let anyone get in your way towards your dream!
Very nice video!
Thank you

I plan on taking some classes at Captain Drakes this spring.
Excellent. Good luck!
Hello from Hellas Athens LGMG.Very nice
Hello!
What is that blue tube that is hanging down from the wing at right where the aileron starts?
That looks like an airspeed indicator. Camera mount. Don't do this at home. It affects the way the plane flies.
Looks like so much fun !! ❤
What altitude does the ultralight fly at usually?
This airplane, up to 10k feet. A legal ultralight, 18k. I usually fly 1k to 3k for safety reasons.

Sometimes things are out of my hand. Rewatching is a pain in the butt, I agree. I may have lost subscribers that way.

Thank you.
Given my background as an aeronautical engineer, I have a deep interest in this topic. I would like to request your expertise on building it at home.
I have a video series on the steps to build this airplane and get the AWC for it. Check playlists on this channel for that!
Very dangerous
Which is why one shouldn't be flying too low.
