The guy at 4:50 is my son. I wish I knew more about this. He passed away 5 years ago. He was brought up right. It’s just society got a hold of him. RIP Brandon.
I agree. There are lots of new restaurants and shops. There are tons of new apartments being added to the downtown landscape. And over the next 10 years, we will see a lot more development on the waterfront where ever source used to be. I don’t have a crystal ball but at this point I can confidently say New Bedford is on the up.
I grew up in the city myself, that’s why I made this documentary. If you grew up in the city You’re not wrong for having that opinion. It was a shit hole most of my life. But right now I do see lots of improvements everywhere I look!! fingers crossed it keeps on getting better
I’ll be retiring from the city of Los Angeles in about a year or so and saw a lot of good home prices on Redfin for New Bedford. Some near the beaches. Not sure which parts are considered bad and good. One of my considerations to move to with my pension…
It'd be nice if they can clean up on the corner of Colette Street in the corner of the avenue in New Bedford Massachusetts if they can put some better retail stores in something positive for the community newer restaurants brand new companies positive for the community
😂😂😂😂... my dad had apartments right on the ave.. late 80s the Portuguese and cape verdeans rented ,.once they left apartments it was a nightmare with crackheads not paying rent
It would be nice if they can fix up a the avenue 1720 acushnet avenue going to 1305 acushnet avenue is nothing there if they can open up like say a Red Robin restaurant a Chick-fil-A restaurant a place where people can buy sports items don't want you play sports soccer football baseball a longhorn steakhouserestaurant
There have been a lot of updates and new restaurants on the app. Big chain restaurants like that don’t typically set up shop on small strips like pushing it. I’d rather be on route six, rt 18, it’s all about car count and access. That has nothing to do with the city, that always comes back to private investors.

Sorry for your loss
My condolences! As a parent, there are no words that can describe my sympathy. we do our best but there’s only so much we can control. 🙏🏻
The city has gotten so many improvements in the last 10 years

Anywhere near the beaches is good!!

I would rather live in Port-au-Prince then have to go back to New Bedford and live around the ave.

Alexander! Lmao 😂😂😂
The ave was really bad in the 90s. My family owned a large tenement block, it turned into a disaster.
I'll live here if the rent is cheap.
Alexander 😂 Lmao!
Aot of problems have been people coming from other cities
It’s not as cheap as it once was, but it’s still more affordable than most big cities
The truth is. You find good and bad in every city.
Idky people keep saying it's a shit hole...so change it ....there are some incredible people and families here ...thebtrash needs to be taken out tho
Absolutely! 💯
