    Fantastic videoi!! Would love if you could do the same with the Cobra along with the new Elyte and QI35

    Great video and I really enjoyed this format and having the option to re-visit the full length for additional details. The only thing I would add is how wide the dispersion is from the center of the fairway. I saw the graph but didn’t see how much, Ex: 20, 30, or 40 yards. Thanks man!

    Great video! Good to see thorough testing on miss hits and different swing speeds rather than just someone hitting and personal opinions which may not benefit the viewer in reality. Booking a fitting soon.

    Excellent video!
    Slower speed testing definitely helps a lot of golfers!

    Well done for going into such detail, it must have taken a lot of time and effort. Great stuff! I’m a Ping G425 owner and am waiting for the 440 to launch. The G430 Max 10k , as you’ve shown in other videos, sets the bar IMO but these two look like they’ll be up there along with the QI35. It will be interesting to see how much brand loyalty matters, if at all.

    Great new format. Watching people hit gets dull. Just getting the data but properly explained is great.

    Another great video! Thanks for making it. I have GT2 largely because I already had a couple Ventus shafts. I'm a shaft nerd and the shafts sort of lock me into a brand.

    Great video. Would love one more section of the review though (record on another day you're not fatigued if needed), where you're just trying to hit bombs with both drivers at full swing speed where you're only taking data from very good strikes. So like, ~90 mph bracket (poor and good strikes), 105 mph bracket (poor and good strikes) and full send mph (very good strikes+swings only). Because the full send swings also illustrate which head can yield faster swing speeds due to aerodynamics + weight, since you're not capping yourself out on speed.

    A comprehensive comparison and so interesting. I really do appreciate your time and effort to produce this. How was the back after that marathon of hits?

    • @epgolfstudios
      @epgolfstudios  13 годин тому

      Thanks Graeme, glad you enjoyed it. Yeah not too bad tbh. Swinging at those speeds is not too bad on the back tbh. It’s just when I’m trying to hit it really hard 😂 which I’m probably going to stop doing

      Did you like the format? Or prefer our original
      / longer form version where I show all the hitting and data from each shot?

      @@epgolfstudios Hi Ross. Thanks. This format was just fine. It was well done. However, I like ball and club data comparative charts, along with your commentary. The recent blade vs distance vs improvement irons video for example. But that's me and I am just fine watching a longer-form version. I am unsure if the average viewer would watch an entire session though. If I could suggest that you try various formats for a while and study your analytics to gauge what works best for your channel. Cheers.

    Shaft is the key to the fittings. Drivers are all so similar nowadays.

    • @epgolfstudios
      @epgolfstudios  12 годин тому +1

      Tbh that’s pretty player dependent. I’d say for most people getting the right head is normally more important than the shaft. In terms of should you be playing a 9* LS or a 12* max style head. That will make a massive difference to numbers, ball flight, distance, average direction. Whereas the amount of times I’ve tried 5 different shafts with amateur golfers and you don’t see any differences. With some you do, it is player dependant of course, but if you ask my honest opinion the head is more important than the shaft

    Great video Ross. I gamed an Aerojet for half a season and just couldn't get on with it. It was good enough but front to back dispersion over my older Tsi2 was night & day. Do you find the new Darkspeed or DS-Adapt drivers to be better in that aspect? I've since moved to a Mizuno ST Max driver and I'd edging towards it being the best driver I have every played in 20+ years of playing golf. I play off of 3 and I'm comfortable in playing a more Game Improvement type driver as these newer ones are much lower spinning and the distance is still awesome 🙂

    Enjoyed this format. Greedily I was hoping for 110 / 115 mph too. Just to know if higher speed changes spin rate.
    Btw I miss the ball you used for this test?

    This is interesting - I have a gt2 9* and I find it to be pretty low spinning for me from the toe. I'm swinging around 108-110 but I do hit up on it quite a bit and hit draws. Spin drops so much the ball looks like it falls out of the sky.

    • @epgolfstudios
      @epgolfstudios  15 годин тому +1

      Yeah tbh it doesn’t take much in terms of strike and delivery to make a huge difference to spin, if you normally hit a draw and on one specific shot you close the face by 1 degree more and the strike starts into the by 10mm but also goes up the face by 8mm that is enough to create a huge drop in spin. But if you left the face 1 degree open and still struck it in the toe but not high toe the spin would go up a huge amount compared to the previous shot. The variables honestly need to be very small to make a huge difference to spin

    • @zacharymilos392
      @zacharymilos392 15 годин тому

      @epgolfstudios sounds like a fun video for you to explore if I'm honest. Different "types" of toe/heel/low strikes and changes to spin that result. I think mines a stack up of issues, little high little toe, little shut face = spin drops 900-1000 rpm.

    In light of the tech restrictions on manufacturers, i am not surprised that the data sets are so similar. If buying a new driver, fitting and personal preference on looks and feel is all that make a difference. Going forward golf has a problem, governance of club and ball performance is based on tour results, rather than every day golfers. We pay the authorities, the pros and the manufacturers, and yet we are considered least. The ball roll back, will hurt amateur’s, as does holding back club development. Club evolution has gone on since golf was first played, i still have my first set purchased when is was 7 years old, you wouldn’t think it was the same sport, when in my teens my 2 wood was my beast, took it to the club practice ground and scratch golfers struggled with it off the tee, let alone off the deck, thats not a bad thing, golf has moved on, but now this evolution has stopped. So manufacturers tinker with weight ports, colours, aerodynamics, all ascetics rather than performance based. In respect of value, best value driver is the latest Mizuno at £279

    This is a great video. I wish it was for the max K though. In my Fitting the max k out performed the x. Was actually lower spinning than the x with the x having the weight in the back, and more forgiving. Even the perfect shot on the x vs max k was better on the Max K with the weight back. With the weight forward the perfect shots were just a bit better on the X because of the lower spin, but the forgiveness TANKED vs the K. Honestly Im not sure i would fit many people into the X over the K unless super high speed scratch player with weight forward, and then they would have the option of the LS as well.

    So most heads are all close, most important part is too get fitted.

    • @epgolfstudios
      @epgolfstudios  15 годин тому

      Yes generally is you compare 2 similar models at the same loft it’s unlikely there will be a big difference. So yes you’re absolutely spot on. Getting fitted correctly is by far the most important element
