    Damned impressive. Controlling those variables is insane.
    So sick of people telling me how two drivers compare at 118mph swing speeds off the center. Might as well tell me what the carry distance is on Mars - a place I’m equally likely to get to….

    • @epgolfstudios
      @epgolfstudios  15 днів тому +1

      😂😂 you never know, keep working on that swing speed 💪💪 but yes most people don’t do it because it is quite hard to do and just generally a bit of a pain in the ass, especially when trying to mishit it too. But we want to try and go the extra mile 🤙

      If you did your normal swing speed I think they would still be tied. I'm playing the GT2 with a 1k blue and it's been great!

    Really enjoyed that. I appreciate that other reviewers are not prepared to put in that serious amount of effort. And, maybe, some of them are not prepared to challenge the marketing hype. But this analytical approach really can't be argued with. Huge thanks for all your effort.

    • @epgolfstudios
      @epgolfstudios  15 днів тому

      My swing speed is delivering similair to this review at swing speed of 90 mph but would I gain a little more by going to senior fox shaft I’m thinking Kuro Kage 50? Thanks for any thoughts and much appreciated

    Amazing video mate, that level of detail and insight is what makes this channel so great! I went and hit the DS range yesterday, have an X demo on trial and I love it to bits! Coming from a TSR2 and the foregiveness gains on toe strikers are night and day.
    Will hit the new ping and Taylormade releases as a comparison but the DS Adapt X is going to be hard to beat!

    • @epgolfstudios
      @epgolfstudios  15 днів тому

    Genuinely the best testing I’m seeing on UA-cam… so in depth, and so impartial… I trust what I’m watching is a fair effort to both brands and that’s what ya want… Keep this going, so so good… hoping for a GT3 vs DS Adapt LS comparison at some stage if your back holds up 😂

    Started to watch the short version as it's late and I need to go to bed, less than a minute in I realised I want to watch the full thing, obviously, as your info is awesome.
    Just starting now. Cheers Ross

    • @epgolfstudios
      @epgolfstudios  15 днів тому

      Thanks Stevie really appreciate the feedback. Both videos have tanked so far but the long form had done worse. So I’m really not sure how to move forward with what we do. I love detail but these videos took so long and if they don’t perform well it seems pointless to do them. Will have to keep experimenting and see what happens

    • @stevie-jayjohnson2101

      @epgolfstudios it's an awesome video Ross, I still have to watch the heel strikes at 105, had to go to bed.
      I think alot of people want the 20 minute with everything packed in vids, me personally I could watch your stuff for hours, so we'll presented and informative. I found my biggest videos are the workshop style vids. A compressed air grip video I did hit over 100,000 views and I have less than 1,000 subscribers

    Awesome review. I can’t believe how you can be that consistent. I can’t even have 2 swings in a row that are consistent. These 2 drivers are identical. I like the matte finish on the Cobra better compared with the shiny Titleist.

    I’ve only picked it up after 40 plus years off as got into motorcycles which have broken more bones and the bank ever since lol but I’m really enjoying the game trying to improve one of my sons who’s in the military comes with me when he is home and he’s kicking my ass especially driving the ball lol but love the community I practice where James Robinson and Chris Dennis film etc and the friendliness is amazing I hope to play more in summer and improve and play with better players as I feel that gives you a goal and raises your game as playing alone isn’t the best but hopefully join in with some lads if they allow but net some nice folk and hopefully meet more playing different places this coming spring summer etc and not fall off and break anything else too lol again keep up the great content and stay safe in the terrible weather etc 👍

  • @gezkemp1263
    @gezkemp1263 15 днів тому +1

    I’m
    Now going back and watching your older content and loving it so far 👍cheers keep it up Love the fitting of the older or just slower swing speed players as myself I think I’m too hard on myself with distance I achieve but after many surgery’s on neck fused wrist hip shoulders rebuilt many broken collarbones from bikes not golf obviously lol I think I’m not being realistic with what I want to achieve but every one does and in this weather I’m just like the Tin man of oz need oiling before I can even get in the car to go to the range 😟🙄

    • @epgolfstudios
      @epgolfstudios  15 днів тому

      Glad you enjoy the content bud 🙏 and yes absolutely. The unfortunate reality of golf is most of us have unrealistic expect about what we should be shooting, how far we should be hitting it etc. but as long as you’re doing your best and working towards a goal and more importantly enjoying it, that’s the main thing 🙌

    Another great review. It goes to show on the good drivers go for maximum moi they are all about the same. You basically need to find something that you like the looks and feel of and be satisfied that you can’t find anything any better.

    Great video. I have been gaming Titleist drivers for many years, but i have now ordered a darkspeed x. However i ordered the 2024 model, because i dont want to many options 😂 I think it would be enough to change the lie and loft angle a little.

    • @epgolfstudios
      @epgolfstudios  15 днів тому +1

      Yeah definitely I think for a lot of golfers all the options on the Cobra sleeve might not actually be a good thing 😂 it could be very confusing and mean endless tinkering. But for us fitters it’s great 👌

    Personally I think misfits don’t need to go that extreme? I think maybe one ball (dunno how many mm is that) from center would be a better test to see how well these club faces do, with how far off the center your hitting technology might not even be part of the conversation 😆

    I swing at 110mph and I got advised to go for stiff shaft for my Darkspeed LS 8 Degree!
    Would you say this is right? Or should I be X flex?

  • @renegade2853
    @renegade2853 15 днів тому +1

    Price difference is purely down to branding/marketing rather than quality of product.

    • @epgolfstudios
      @epgolfstudios  15 днів тому +1

      Yeah I don’t disagree with that and I’m sure there are other variables too but ultimately the consumer doesn’t really care why the price is the price, if something is 100 quid less that will be a big factor for a lot of people

  • @Celeras
    @Celeras 15 днів тому

    Your 90MPH/GOOD test with the GT2 has 500 more rpm spin than the 90MPH/GOOD test you did with the GT2 in the Ping video 😵‍💫

    • @epgolfstudios
      @epgolfstudios  15 днів тому

      Yeah not too surprising, especially considering that’s not my swing speed, so I’ll just be trying to find the best / most comfortable / most consistent feel on that day and that will probably rarely end up in the same numbers day to day. Even my own swing changes so much because I can swing it soo many different ways. I’ll just find whatever is working best on that day

    Titleist figured out the geometry, but have a really bad across the face. TM and Callaway are much better across the face hits. If Cobra was $50 cheaper, it would be the No. 1 selling driver in 2025 if they market it right.

    • @epgolfstudios
      @epgolfstudios  15 днів тому

      Titlesit are as good across the face as any other brand without question. But yes Cobra definitely still could be one of the top sellers this year. Still cheaper than every other major brand

  • @christopher2818
    @christopher2818 11 днів тому

    Great stuff. I think your delivery is generally too good to produce really terrible shots. Your swing path and face to path is fairly squared. It’s good for comparing, but I don’t really expect to see those horrible hooks and slices. Just an observation, not criticism, but something for the viewers to keep in mind to manage their expectations for their own experience.

    • @epgolfstudios
      @epgolfstudios  11 днів тому +1

      I don’t know about that 😂 I can still hit it 50/60 yards offline pretty easily. Yeah I mean when you’re talking hooks and slices I don’t feel that should come into any review. That’s just bad swing / delivery. No clubs helping that.

    • @christopher2818
      @christopher2818 11 днів тому

      @@epgolfstudios, completely agree that those shots aren’t relevant for a review, but people may forget that when assessing the results :)
