So do y’all not realize that there’s been X-wings and other fighters coming outta hyperspace??? I think all ships have the capability or compacity to do so and some just flat out can’t lmao
The smallest well known Star Wars ship that can travel trough Hyperspace on it's own is probably the A-Wing Interceptor. The reason why TIE Starfighters and Interceptors (At least the Imperial ones) doesn't have Hyperdrives, is because it makes them cheaper to mass produce. Hell, it's for this same exact reason why they don't have shields either, and why the pilot have to wear life-support gear while flying 'em. Darth Vader's TIE X1 has both shields and a hyperdrive, but that's a very rare ship, and not really mass-produce-able. Meanwhile the TIE Defender was more so meant for SOME degree of mass production, and it was jamp-packed compared to standard TIEs. Hell, it's possible the TIE Defender could have turned the entire Galactic Civil War so much against the Rebels that they wouldn't have stood a chance, after all Thrawn knew that the TRUE impact of a war was often decided by the most minute details. Anyways, how the First Order were able to pack a hyperdrive into something as tiny as a TIE SF is beyond me. I mean, I GUESS it's possible, after all, the First Order DID have SOME more advanced tech on their hands and all that... Suppose Sienar Jaemus Fleet Systems got a couple of aces up their sleves in the tech department, who knows?
@@TheTrytix It pisses me off that they gave the First Order some repainted TIEs as their main starfighter, they could've easily designed them some modernized Interceptors or a Dagger from the beginning. The worst part is that they had tons of cool concept art but decided to go with nostalgia bait instead...
@@randomstormtrooper3345 I agree. The First Order TIEs are just so lazily put in. Like, we have the Imperial TIE Starfighter, succeeded by the TIE INTERCEPTOR. Meaning the Interceptor is overall a better a design, so why then does the Empire's so called successor return to the older, more outdated design instead of getting an improved Imperial Interceptor?!? I honestly do not understand it.
I noticed in Rogue One they tracked the Death Star coming out of hyperspace but couldn’t track Vader’s star destroyer. Maybe it has something to do with the size!
I haven’t played this game but since when did TIE fighters have hyperspace capability. I thought they were short range fighters. Unless the First Order managed to squeeze one into it.
First Order SF TIE fighters. Double seated also and with hyperdrive. Still, no idea how they fit one there, but also shown in sequels (stupid lightspeed skipping)
Its kinda annoying that Star Destroyers are not very good combat platforms because they sure look cool. Always looked cool. One of my fav looking chips in Science Fiction. Especially the Super Star Destroyer.

Anything with a hyperdrive can… in theory even a can.

SF TIEs. Hyperdrive, shields, life support, the whole shabang.
@@erj9081pretty sure the hyperdrive used is the same one (or something similar to it) that’s used in TIE Defenders
The special forces variant does which is what they stole, that’s why Poe and Finn took one in episode 7
Since New Hope
Vader's TIE fighter had a hyperdrive installed
