Cant wait to see what an actual junkyard ls would do with a set of cams, spray paint doesnt hold up better than brushed paint especially with those engines glad it isnt grey or mopar orange lol

Hell yeah me too should run like a raped ape lol, I’m going all satin black under the hood I just like the subtle look almost like if a factory ls came in the car. Thanks for watching brother 🙌🏻

Interesting that the piston crowns are absolutely flat, and these engines make great power per cube of displacement. Goes to show the importance of air flow through the induction system.

I believe 4.8 came with flat top pistons. 5.3 have a dish to them.

@shawnhampton9686 you’re right I recently found out it’s a 4.8 when I finally pulled the oil pan and saw the cast numbers on the crank 482 =4.8 1225=5.3 so it is a 4.8 but I’m still moving forward on the build.

@@atomicspeedgarage That 4.8 will work just fine! Keep up on the videos. I'm going today to look at a 50 chevy that could be a twin to your car.

Damn that’s awesome I’d love to see it, yeah I was initially looking for a 4.8 or a 5.3 so it’s not a big deal. Thanks for watching brother 🙌🏻

You mocked it up to brush paint it? WTH!
