Great game, well done for controlling your players. Regarding offside. According to the laws a club linesman may only INDICATE BALL IN OR OUT OF PLAY AND MAY INDICATE WHICH TEAM KICKED THE BALL OFF. Obviously there are loads of good club linesman out there. The referee should assess both linesman during the game. You soon learn the good from the bad. Once I knew there was a problem I would check as often as possible and over rule where necessary. Eg I was once refereeing a game with a linesman who I knew was very dodgy. Without a word of a line, he flagged a player offside when they were 6 yards on!! My advice to you would be to stay calm. Call the ref over and mention your concerns. It is your right. A good ref will respect you. I thought the ref handled the game well. Ps it -6 on Norfolk yesterday, you did well to play!
Does SK the Coach know what happens if a player attempts to pass the ball back to the keep directly from a goal kick, but the keeper misses it completely and it goes in the goal?
You can only not be offside from a goal kick if the ball is played and the attackers are in their own half. If the are in opposition half then they are offside.
