Aw thanks so much! ☺️
Thank you for the tips ! Ableton has a steep learning curve for newbies like myself and I've been wondering how to turn my new launchpad session view clips into full songs !
Happy to help!
It's always helpful to refresh your memory and learn new things 👍🏻
Absolutely!
You're an absolute gem, making my transition over from logic a breeze

No nonsense, love it
Great video thank you!
LNA...you are amazing...I have been using Session view for almost 3 years...still today I realised there are still too many things that I need to learn and check...Thanks very much really.
You're so welcome!
Thanks - very thorough and clear
Thanks! Happy you liked it! ☺️🤓
@LNADoesAudioStuff I've been trying to teach myself music production with Ableton for a long time, signed up for courses, followed many tutorials from different producers on UA-cam and other platforms, and even though I'm a very good self-teacher in other things, I could never pass that threshold of feeling stuck and stupid like my brain doesn't work, but somehow the way you explain it is different. It really feels like you're aware of how overwhelming it feels to ignore so many key concepts while looking at all the possibilities in Ableton. You think about the person, not the feature your explaining, and that just clicked on me. Thank you for doing this, I hope I can stick to the process and commit to myself because it's been years feeling and thinking in music in my head and now I feel a step closer to realizing it. I'm definitely becoming a patreon 👌
sooo happy my channel and videos help! And yes you are welcomed in the Patreon with open arms! It will definitely help with productivity and accountability.

That's awesome!
good teacher.
Thanks 😊
Thanks for the good vid
Glad you enjoyed it
amazing! :)
That was so helpful thank you. Do you have any tutorials where you time warp samples or chop them up into midi? Preferably rap vocals. I have izotope RX8 where I can extract the acapella from songs but its hard for me to get them in time in ableton. Im trying to make my own beats accompanying rap vocals just for fun.
nice tnx !
😁
This lady is cool as hell. I learned a lot about live especially push 2. More than the puppet dude and the guy who keeps telling me I suck at producing 🙄... 👍🏽👍🏽
Omg thanks so much! And glad you like the content ❤️❤️☺️
@@LNADoesAudioStuff You're welcome. As a man it's great to see a women teaching and just as talented. Music knows no gender ❤️

Oh shit! Its Sunday. Where are my headphones?! 😁
love these videos Ableton beginner
when I try and record a new scene it keeps playing the scene before / above it
how do I record a new scene without the one above it still playing
Solved the mystery of how to compose from session to arrangement view.
Would you please tell.me how to copy a clip as in doubling an instrument or vocals? Thanks
Hello LNA, I just found you on the internet and have decided to make you my instructor of Abelton 11 which I just downloaded. 😊 I’m going to start with these beginning videos. Do you have any guidance on how I should proceed after these because you have a lot of videos. I would just like to learn them in the right order. Thx your New Student 😃
Hi and welcome to the channel! I have a playlist that is all my videos ment for beginners. ☺️ I also recommed looking into this video: ua-cam.com/video/3YD4q2GcFjE/v-deo.html
how do i have the scene play to the end before it triggers the next scene. Now when i hit play on the next scene it plays it almost immediately? THanks in advance
Balls, boxes and tips
Accurate!
Hey for some reason when I right click on scenes it doesn't give me the option too edit the scene tempo or time signature. I can edit the tempo of each scene in the bottom window but the actual working tempo just sticks to whatever the main project tempo is set to. Is there a way to prioritise the tempo in the scenes? When you do it it changes with the scenes but I can't seem to do that heeeeelp
10/10 content as always 🌞
Favorite album of all time: Pink Floyd the dark side of the moon
(@linahmusic)
Nice album! 😍❤️
that really was in depth lol
I can't see the launch prefs of individual clips. Did it change in Live 11?
Let's say I have an audio track and want to simply duplicate or cut and paste that track on the grid within that clip...it's straightforward in arrangement view, but is it possible to duplicate and cut audio within a clip in Session view, if so, how?
Hey LNA! Love your channel! I have a question that I think doesn't have an answer... but I'd love to be wrong! From what I can tell, it's impossible to start with the speaker icon (scrub) in the middle of a clip (ie. bar 5 in an 8 bar clip) in Session view without having all of the other clips start over at their beginning... Is that correct? I'm just wondering how one would go about editing the middle of a clip without having to hear it start from the very beginning after every edit so the other clips line up... Does that make sense? Thanks!!
Hi you would need to stop/mute the other tracks, or solo the one where you are working on the clip to hear just it from the middle of the clip :)
@@LNADoesAudioStuff Hey LNA! Not sure how I missed your reply 2 years ago, sorry! Thanks for replying... I guess that is the only way, but I would love to see a check box in a future version that allows you to hear clips start at whatever relative position they would be at when you start at an arbitrary spot in the timeline while editing. For now I will just use your tip and solo!
The album is "Erotic Cakes" by Guthrie Govan! :) @vale.bailo
Awesome!
The album is Awaken, My Love! by Childish Gambino
@andresvalero02
Hey LNA hope you doing fine !!! quick question, how do you copy clips from the arrangement to the session view?
You can just do it with copy+paste or select and pic from context menu "insert to a new scene".
@@LNADoesAudioStuff thank yuu
how can i set start marker in a clip and start the song from that marker?
It's the small flag above on the top of the clip on a area called "scrub area"
It helps when teacher is cute. haha
where are you from?
4:20 is the tutorial actually starts
LOWNCH modes
lunch modes? 🥪
I can't get my "Repeat" Function to work.. any idea why? Thanks!
I actually got it, didn't realize I had to hold down the trigger to get the repeat effect. Is there some way to lock this position?
It depends on the incoming MIDI signal. If you create a longer note and loop it, it will stay longer.
How do you rename clip slots in session view?
Right click and select rename :)
how do you play the whole thing as one track
I show it in the end :) how to take this to the arenagement view
@@LNADoesAudioStuff thank youuuu hope I get an A in class 💜

I can't place your accent, it has me totally baffled?? Nice tutorial by the way. Subscribed!
Hahh glad you liked the video :) I’m originally from Finland, lived in Scotland and now living in England. So bit of a mix 😂
I switched to ableton recently. It feels like I’m cheating it’s so easy arranging my beats now.
Love the channel, fully impressed with yr fluent English, but *pls* .... Launch is pronounced "lornch" not "lownch". Sorry to be a troll!
I am adding my own twang ;)
