    Thank you for subscribing to Urza facts. Did you know that Urza founded the Tolarian Academy, which he then destroyed in a temporal explosion? This has been your daily Urza fact.

    Thank you for subscribing to Urza facts. Did you know that before he died, Urza saw old Phyrexia thought it was beautiful and switched sides until Gerrard cut off his head? At which point he switched sides back. No Urza wasn't compleated, he just saw the hellscape of old Phyrexia and was fucked enough in the head that he just decided Yawgmoth was right!

    Thank you for subscribing to Urza facts. Did you know that Urza got Barrin's daughter killed and then hid it from him, leading him to, upon discovery, cast a spell so powerful it destroyed Tolaria? For his family, Barrin made a funeral pyre of Tolaria. This has been an Urza fact.

    Thank your for subscribing to Urza facts. Urza was a human planeswalker originating from Terisiare on Dominaria, best known for his millennia-long struggle with Yawgmoth and the plane of Phyrexia. Urza is a Gemini and his favorite ice cream flavor is strawberry.

    Thank you for subscribing to Urza Facts, did you know that Urza academy headmaster was the first 5 color Planeswalker, printed in 2017 in the unset Unstable and was the first card to require a website to use property?

    I think the opponent scooped in Match 3 because you had two flipped fables and the ability to put 10 power on the board on their end step and they likely had no answer to that.

    Disdainful stroke was so bad out of the sideboard. The only thing you really care about countering at >=4 against these BRx decks is invoke, which can be handled by a negate (which ends up being more flexible for other things like bankbuster, reflections, etc).

    In Match 2 at 10:40 you could have wrathed the whole board and survived by playing the second Mightstone, target the spiritualist and then Brothers end... The spiritualist dies because he gets 3 dmg and less thoughness as less enchantments on the Battlefield 🙈🙈🙈
    You could have won easily🗿

    This deck is super sweet! I played a straight blue-red version for awhile, then shifted to blue-black. Maindeck ramp comes from Gix's Caress and stern lesson which make powerstones (or thran spider which I have in my sideboard) but the really cool thing about blue-black is that you can transform into a Sheoldred/Teferi control deck after sideboard!

    28:08 I mean, if you don't have an answer for double flipped Fable, it basically doesn't matter what else is happening, you make a ton of tokens end step and really just overwhelm.

    I recently played a deck that I think counts as against the odds.
    It involves a single alchemy card called Oracle of the Alpha, and involves using displacer kitten to repeatedly blink the Oracle, using Narset to dig out multiple black lotuses and time walks, while using citadel and aetherflux as an overall win condition, considering the number of 0 mana spells you can pack your deck with.
    Probably the only way to play 4+ copies of black lotus in 1 turn

    • @ankhi3585
      @ankhi3585 Рік тому

      I have seen people play it with Song of Creation in Historic and Kenji (NumotTheNummy) also played a deck based on Oracle of the Alpha a couple of months ago. Considering 6 of the 9 cards are basically lands and can make for some terrible top-decks it definitely is against the odds.

    28:06 Opponent might not have had an answer to double Kiki-Jiki. You can create X copies at his eot where X is your available mana. I don't think it was lethal so still too early of a scoop.

    That match 3 the play was pretty terrible. Should have swung for the Wanderer before channeling the bounce on angel. Would have given you the chance to bait some blocks from the tokens. Along with the angel likely blocking which would have put you in a far superior position.

    Another enjoyable video brother Set. I liked the Urza melds cause I want to do them in paper but at 40$ a piece times 4 I never would have the money to do so thanks to wizards hiking up prices as usual to milk money from the poor like me.

    • @Icameron259

      The enemy colour triomes rotated out, and the SNC triomes are basically just dual lands in "wedge" colour decks like Jeskai. You can still run a few just for the cycling utility, but you don't want too many always-taplands.

    8:25 "That last game, opponent definitely had mana problems, but we took advantage of it"
    This statement starts as one designed to explain why the opponent was having a bad time and would scoop, "But" then then but is there to suggest a contrary fact to suggest why the opponent should not have scooped. EG: "The opponent scooped. That makes sense because they were having mana problems, BUT we were having troubles of our own".
    It doesn't make sense why you'd highlight why the opponent might scoop, then suggest that 'taking advantage of it' is a reason why they should stick around...

      @ImJustHereToWatch14 Рік тому

      Seth is explaining how two forces collaborated to cause opponent to scoop. Mana problems on their own are not enough to scoop, since your deck might function moderately well on low mana or your opponent may not be playing out threats to end the game.
      In this case, the opponent's mana troubles were exacerbated by Seth taking advantage
