I’m so happy that I found your video! I have always loved art and sketching, and never been taught this exercise in any classroom. It’s so basic, yet fundamental! Where have you been all my life? 🤔
So happy that you found us! Make sure to subscribe because these videos (and our courses in general) focus on starting with the fundamentals, and adding in a whole lot of fun from there 🥰🌈💖
Hi Kellee I have just taken delivery of your book in the hope that it covered the colour mixing content in your foundation course and I am over the moon 🎉 The way you teach this complex subject is mind-blowing, amazing and brilliant. I had skipped over colour theory up until seeing your videos a few days ago and realised that I don't need to be fearful as you explain it all way better than any other tutor I have come across 😅 I was afraid that due to brain fog I wouldn't hold the information and needed a book on the subject on my desk rather than staring at a screen every time I forget something 😂 and there it was just when I needed it the most! Thank you so much for sharing of yourself and your knowledge and Thank you, thank you, thank you for writing your fantastic book. ❤
Thank you so much for those kind words, we are so delighted that you love the course and the book! 💖🌈🤩 This is such a beautiful testimonial and we are so grateful to have members like you in our community 🥰
This was so good. I am pretty distractible so doing the colour wheel and really working it has been a pain for me, have done one before but roughly and it wasn't quite right.. but you convinced me and I did it, then added white to the interior of each colour to get tints. I think I am really getting it finally, especially how little of some colours like red or blue it takes to shift the colour. Thank you. Practice practice.
I’ve had fun teaching this with school students. We broke into 4 groups, one with primary red, blue and yellow and each other group had one ‘change’ of colour eg a cool red, or a warm Yellow, or a cool blue. It amazed them to see how different their colour wheels looked when they were all finished…. all because of one ‘different’ colour… we could have done this for days……

IMO mixing color wheels is one of the most impactful things an artist can do to move their art forward
Agreed, it's such an important foundation to have. It can bring so much uniqueness and inspiration to our art!
