Stunning! That really brightened up my dark dank day in London UK ❤ Thank you 😊
So sweet!
Thankful for all of my clients, fellow creatives and friends!!! Please take advantage of this half off sale, it's for a limited time!
I never heard of this before but I love it!
Watch out! It can get a bit addictive! lol
Hi Kellee, you don't need to worry about doing abstract; you've just done it here on this grid. You are a natural. Thank you so much for inspiring and educaing me through play and fun. Much love and peace from London UK 🇬🇧 ❤🎉
You are so creative and I love your work ❤
Thank you so much 😀
Just met your youtube channel/posts. What a wonderful to capture your art and your heart journaling in upcycled books. Thank you for this.
Thank you so much!
Love that. The music was cool too.
Very cool. It was fun to watch you play.
Thank you!! It is a joy!
Maybe I’m a bit late to the party, but you asked about how to pronounce the UHU glue stick. It’s pronounced Oo-hoo 😁. The word is actually German and means eagle owl 🦉. There seems to have been a tradition of naming stationery items after birds - you may know Pelikan pens for instance. Great video, by the way. You really got me into grid journaling, thank you 😊!
lol... never too late!! Thanks for that! So glad you are enjoying the grids- we love them too!
Thanks! One of the best “explanation exercises” on color theory I’ve seen yet. Plus the way it supports the capabilities of the three primaries. 🙏🏻 🎨
Awesome, thank you!
I’m just learning about grid journals. Thank you so much for your free lessons. I just love how you explain. ❤❤❤
You are welcome!! 😍
Very helpful 🎉🎉
Glad you think so!
Love it
We do too!!
Thank you so much. This is very helpful x
Glad it was helpful!
I love this except that you have to mix the pure colors to be able to mix the complements. That’s alot of mixing.
Thank you for this video! You answered several questions I had.
Thank you for letting us know!!
Thankyou !❤
Excellent demonstration ❤!
Thank you! Cheers!
How do you keep the wet paper from tearing?
Be gentle!! Also be aware when you choose your paper that it needs to be thick enough for the process!
Kellee, This was so much fun. When I was in art school we mostly used our journals/ sketchbooks to draw and work on class assignments. I have since discovered journals and fun! Looking forward to another one!
That is awesome!
Have thoroughly enjoyed this entire series on mini grids and ways you've made art with them. So glad Ceri the Crafter suggested we check you out. Might be time to pull out that old sketch book and play.
Thank you so much!
Facinating process
Yes it is!!🤗
I've just come across your channel and wondering if you stress the importance of the paint that is used? I think that it should be pointed out that it helps to have a decent pigmented paint. When funds are limited, it helps being able to purchase fewer colors to achieve a colorful palette as you have here. One can purchase the lesser expensive ones and work up to the better, more pigmented ones in time. Definitely use what you have and most importantly, have fun.
We all agree that we should use what we have on hand if funds are tight or otherwise engaged. When the time is right you can then purchase better quality- keeping it simple with just three primary colors - really all you need! With White and Black of course! The quality and deep pigments as you point out will give you a better lasting and quality piece of art. But we all need to practice and play first!!
Learnt so much🎉
That is so good to hear, Thank you!!
Great fun to watch and very informative.
Thanks so much Janet!
Beautiful🌻
Thank you !!
Great video🌻
Thank you! Cheers!
Absolutely gorgeous! Thank you for inspiring me. Much love and peace from London UK ❤
Oh Thank you so much!!😍
Love this!
Thank you for that!!
I love your florals
How kind!! Thank you!
I lpve upur florals.
Beautiful!
Using magazine photos you need permission as this is a photographer's artwork
Here are some thoughts and legalities to consider. Found at this website- www.owe.com/resources/legalities/5-some-questions-about-fair-use/#:~:text=the%20collage%20does%20not%20feature,edition%20of%20fine%20art%20prints "Collage is a time-honored art form that utilizes pre-existing materials, including artwork and photographs. Often the materials will be copyrighted. So your unauthorized use of those materials would be copyright infringement unless your collage qualifies as fair use. Unfortunately, there is no legal rule on whether collage as a category would be fair use. It will depend in each case on an evaluation of the four fair use factors with respect to the particular collage." "To summarize, collages that have more of the following characteristics are more likely to qualify as fair use: the collage incorporates many different materials from many different sources the materials are juxtaposed or arranged in ways that create new visual and conceptual effects, the more different from the effect of the original materials, the better the collage does not feature a copyrighted work as the central focus or dominant image only portions of copyrighted materials are used, rather than the entire image the collage is a one-of-a-kind piece of fine art, or published in a limited edition of fine art prints" "One final note: in addition to copyright, collage artists should also be aware of potential trademark rights that might be associated with their raw materials. Trademarks are brand names or other symbols that represent the commercial source of products or services. Sometimes visual images can be trademarks, such as Mickey Mouse or the Marlboro cowboys. If you use these in your collages, there may be some risk of trademark infringement. However, trademark law also has exceptions for non-competitive uses. While the analysis is not technically the same, generally it is similar to the copyright concept of fair use. Such uses are the most safe when they are the most transformative, and unlikely to compete with the trademark owner’s market." Thank you for bringing this subject up- wouldn't want to infringe on others.
Ok Karen
“Play, joy and exploration”…..yeah! That’s a TRIFECTA right there! 🥳
Yesss!
My favorite was the green and teal- analogous- combination. But all the prints were gorgeous!
One dries the other doesn’t
Oil sticks and oil pastels are both portable art mediums that come in stick form and have many similar qualities. However, they have some key differences, including: Oil pastels Contain pigment, wax, and a non-drying oil, and have a waxy or crayon-like consistency. They can be used on a variety of surfaces without preparation, including wood, paper, canvas, and metal. Oil pastels are malleable and don't dry completely, so layers need to be set with a fixative. They also work well with turpentine and linseed oil to create blending effects. Oil sticks Contain pigment, a drying oil, and a small amount of wax, and are softer than oil pastels. They can be used as a drawing tool to apply color directly to a surface, or for resist techniques. Oil sticks dry completely over time, similar to oil paints, with marks becoming touch dry first and then drying completely over several months. Exposed surfaces of oil sticks will develop a skin, but this can be slowed down by wrapping the sticks in plastic wrap and storing them in an airtight container.
thank u for this video, it gave me inspiration :)
Love it!
Would you suggest oil sticks for painting a wall ?? i want to draw my wall in my bedroom

how do you gesso pages- they 'want' to close and stick together!
OK never mind - you showed us!

@@colorcrushcreative After applying linseed oil or thinner over oil pastel, will you apply fixative directly? How long should I wait for the linseed oil to dry before varnishing it?
@@colorcrushcreative Thanks for answering me. 😇🥰
@@aideshellstrom9155 In case it wasn't said here... 1-2 weeks should be sufficient drying time, a consensus from various artists' comments.
Beautiful can I use these oil pastels on a canvas?
